I assume you understand that you need headphones attached to use FM radio correct?
The headphones act as your antenna. Also did you make sure that your media volume is turned up? It's separate from the system/notification volumes so you should check that if you haven't already.
With my beats ear buds plugged into my headphone jack on my phone, I'm listening to my FM Radio right now. Listening to "Barefoot Blue Jean Night" by Jake Owen on local radio station 94.1 right now.

I am on sense 5 venom 3.1.3 and everything works just like out of the box infact when you install you are given an option to choose if you want sense at all -or if you want to just pick out the ones you want like fm radio and such , so ya no problem here , and if you are using ant venom you should use the newest one it rocks !!

Does anyone know where I can get the fm radio that comes with the phone? I am using redemptive revolution rom, love it, but it doesnt have the fm radio which I use when going to the YMCA for there televisions. Really appreciate it.
FM Radio, using 'Rom Manager' go to Download Rom/Ihtfp69/Goodies for 2.2+/download and select HTC Radio......... that is if you have 'Rom Manager' and you were refering to the 'HTC FM Radio' app.....
Thanks man, will give it a shot after wife gets off the phone talking to family. Happy Thanksgiving.
Glad I can help, happy Thanksgiving to you too !
Thanks bro, worked like a charm! Happy THanksgiving to you also!
i rooted my DInc and just stuck with sense, didnt put a ROM on or anything, would it be safe to completely uninstall the FM Radio app if i dont use it ? Or is that gonna mess something up ?
It'll be fine, FM radio isn't linked with anything that would cause you problems. Although its pretty benign, not one of those apps that stays running in the background.

MOD EDIT: As of November 7th CoreDroid officially moved all its support to another site.
Due to repeated kanging from other Roms as well as needing CST paid version to obtain the latest version of the Rom, anything related to the CoreDroid team is not allowed to be posted anymore on XDA and is from now on considered warez.
This includes: Signatures, links, themes, as well as any work developed by the CD team or included in any Rom.
TL;dr: If you included anything from CD in your work, you have to remove it.
We appreciate your understanding on the matter in hand,

NO need is not mandatory.
For those of you that have an inspire 4g and havent rooted yet, today would be good day to do that. The roms are coming starting today. Just flashed this core droid 2.5 rom, mainly cause i love having battery circle mod, and just loaded setcpu to 1.22 gighrz overclock and im now getting 45+ Mflops and 2500+ quadrant scores. Audio working without flashing stock kernel and youtube and other media streaming apps now working aswell. Today is a good day!
Just flashed this ROM..everything is working so far but the audio is tinny
Hoping anyone can post their results with the Rom and if the following is working:
WIFI
Bluetooth
HSUPA Enabled
Hotspot Capable
Audio Quality Okay
Also is an additional Kernel required to get it working on the Inspire?

Yes sir!
WIFI - Working
Bluetooth - Working
HSUPA Enabled - Yes
Hotspot Capable - Yes
Audio Quality Okay - Small amount of static on my end but my girlfriend said everything was perfectly clear from her iphone (I haven't tried any other radios or kernals yet except the telus kernal which worked flawlessly)
EDIT: didnt see your last bit, to answer your question, no you don't need additional kernal, all set after flash

The in-call audio is definitely tinny for me. It sounds like the speaker is shot lol. I've had this problem with all the ROMS I've tried and I always end up going back to stock rooted where the audio quality is perfect.

Thanks for confirming this sir
So just to be sure are you using the Telus kernel once you flashed this rom?
Here is a build of CM6 with FM added to it. The only difference is the FM addon. It is the same as the last version of CM6 released.
Install the same way you would cm6. You can upgrade to this with wiping data/cache like normal.

Ok... I tried it... it's just OK. It uses Blutooth somehow and I don't really get how it works. It's a little ghetto, but it works. # outta 10? 6

It doesnt actually use bluetooth. Its just that the chipset that does the bluetooth is the same chipset that does the fm radio. So what its doing is enabling the chipset which means bluetooth gets turned on. But the bluetooth signal doesnt actually have anything to do with the fm radio. This is why you have to have a headset plugged in; the phone uses it as an fm antenna.

You - # outta 10? Zero. Yup, you're a zero. What have you contributed lately? Lame reviews don't count, zero.
Just flashed this on my wife's aria and now she's a happy camper. She was rocking the OG CM6. Thanks....and keep up the good work!!!!

The CM series (CyanogendMod) does not have HTC Sense. It is built from Android Open Source Project (AOSP) source.
Yes it is de-oxded.
Yes it supports both Froyo Apps2SD and DT Apps2SD (EXT2/EXT3 support).
I just installed cm7 on my gf's inspire.
She misses her old fm radio app.
Does any one know where I can get this?

You can download TuneIn Radio from the Play Store she can hear local stations with it. There is a free version and a pro version.
How to install radio on ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2131177 , spirit FM no works
Well I don't think stock radio will work on other than sense ROMs.
Use tune in radio.
Hit "THANKS" If this was Helpful

Tune in is OK, I think the classic fm radio reception.

Its "over-the-air" radio, not the internet one.
