Hi,
I have big problem with Wifi, Bluetooth & GPS on my phone.
10 days ago, my phone work very great with ViperX 3.3.3 (stock kernel of the ROM). But, when i trying download the Maps offline via Wifi Network (5% downloaded), wifi automatic turn-off, i try turn on it in the Settings, it show 'error' message (Bluetooth & GPS also not work, cant turn on it). While Mobile network work fine.
I was flash more ROM another (stock kernel), & custom kernel (include module), with full wipe & erase cache. But still not fix it
Is this a hardware issue? Can i fix it for myself? HTC's service in my country is bad i dont want send my phone for them.
Plz help me!
Many thanks for read my post.

Did you get this sorted?
I just bought a used HTC One XL at&t and I can't get either BT or WiFi to turn on. I've tried several different modems with no change, a full wipe did nothing as well. The guy I bought it off said about the issue when I bought it but reckoned it was because of the way he flashed a ROM.
I'm running a older HBoot, could that cause it? Currently on CM10.1.

i am not sure about the one x but on the htc vivid the boot.img had the modules for bt and wifi and if you didnt have the right boot.img they wouldnt work are you s-off
I don't know a whole lot about this stuff so thanks for explaining.
From what I understand, I have SuperCID (CID = 11111111) and S-ON.
I will reflash the boot.img now and see if that fixes. Will report back shortly.

if that doesnt fix it go here and get s-off
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2155071
then i would download the att ruu you can get it from htc's website and run it and see if that fixs it. do not run a ruu without s-off supercid + s-on + ruu or ota = hard brick
ruu download https://support.htc.com/index.php?t...es/HTC_One_X™_for_AT&T_ROM_Update_|_3.07.2013
Is there a reason I can't S-OFF? I followed that guide and everything seemed to go smoothly except I'm still S-ON.

it might be because of cm10.1 some people had to go with a sense rom to get it to work download one of the stock rooted roms and flash it and try agian also some have had to try a couple of times to get it to work read though that thread and see what they did to get it to work
Got it working. Had a couple of issues (old versions of ADB/fastboot and needed to power down my phone completely to copy across the zip in step 3).
So, now... Does this mean I can flash any radio/RUU I want and not worry about bricking it? I'm on the Telstra network in Australia. Any idea what I should try and flash to see if I can get the WiFi/BT to work? Just the link above that you posted?
yes now you can flash any thing you want you do not have to relock bootloader to run a ruu i would try the ruu i linked you since you have a at&t phone you will have to fastboot
flash a recovery after the ruu because it will make your phone stock
edit no on bricking there is always a chance of a brick when flashing firmware
I'm such a nub. I don't have enough of an idea what I'm doing...
I've flashed a couple of different Telstra radio's but they haven't made any difference. On my SGS2, I could just flash different modems to fix things like this. Is that the same as what radio's are for HTC's? Or do I need to flash a whole RUU and start again?
Is there somewhere better to ask for guidance/help? Or should I just keep going here?
Sent from my One X using Tapatalk 2
i would try the ruu that will tell you if you have a hardware problem
edit and yes radio and modem are same thing i know how you feel came from samsung phones too you just have to learn the terminology it is always good to read the stickys
No worries. I'll download the RUU tomorrow at work and flash it. Fingers crossed!!!

Ok so from the title you know whats going on, im hboot 1.45 ; ive flashed stock 7 different ways to Sunday and the stock boot image as well. however it stays an infinite loop as a white my touch 4gslide screen.
Can anyone help me return this to just stock software? i was looking at the ref, thread on the dev forum however i tried that and got zilch. so confused please help if you can >.>

Goto
http://www.htcdev.com/devcenter/downloads
Then search for the "mytouch 4G Slide". There will be the stock rom that can be applied in the bootloader. Just charge phone to 100%. Then put the downloaded zip from HTC Dev on the (Root of a CLEAN) SD card, and enter the boot loader (Vol+/Power). Then it'll find the zip, and ask you stuff. Blah, Blah, Blah. Your 100% Factory.

Ignore what I said about the re-locking method, just flash the file from HTC. It puts the stock recovery, and boot.img on. Just do it via bootloader. Easiest way.

I'm currently on my 5th phone for the year that I've sent back to T-mo for one reason or another....all were returned with s-off, rooted, custom boot animation, and Undeads, CM7 or MIUI roms without any issue.
This doesn't even account for a quarter of the phone's I've sent back to T-Mobile in the past 2 years for one reason or another....ALL returned s-off, rooted with one custom rom or another.... ZERO issues...

The difference between these 2 files (CRC & MR) is? Which is the appropriate one to d/l in this situation?
EDIT: Well that's pretty damn typical. ScriptKitty...try to go download either. It'll redirect you back to the HTC home page for both. Wow. Go HTC! /sarcasm
If anyone else knows where to d/l this I'd much appreciate it. I'm in the same situation as ScriptKitty and cannot find this d/l anywhere.

Just short of going stock, can anybody tell me why it wont load any other rom? I get status 7 load aborted????? Do not have my stock recovery just got Pyroice...

Wesomatic, you may have MUCH more luck getting some help if you posted this in the Q&A section. Quite a few more developers & senior members cruise those threads than this one.

I got kind of excited when I saw this, but all I've ever found at htcdev for the MT4GS is a couple of ZIPs of kernel sources. (To others, that's what those CRC and MR files are. I don't know the difference, but they are just sources and some docs.)
So, is the helpful advice from AgentCherryColla just a mistake, or have other files been there in the past? Or maybe some other location?
(Unofficial copies of signed stock ROMs are available with pointers in various threads here.)
Hi
Does anybody know where i can find One S (S4) odex stock roms for tmobile. Basically i can't get ota updates and i think my problem is that my current stock rom is deodex.
none of the develops in the One S community wants to make it.. dont know why....
the closest u get is the nandroid in the dev section.. thats what im running now...
Why not run a RUU from the Shipped ROMs thread in development section
I'd like it too actually. I tried flashing stock recovery and relocking my bootloader, but out still said tampered and still couldn't flash an ruu... I'm hoping getting all stock could help with that.
There are no RUU's for tmobile uk sadly, so i need to super cid my phone to get the international version. Also i dont know how to super cid
I found another version of the RUU for TMOUS so I'll try that in the near future and see what happens.
Because the cramp just won't go away!
Does anybody have a stock nandroid for tmobile UK?

If you read the posts it says there isn't one. Just to verify I looked and I didn't see one either.
Also, after going into fastboot and flashing stock recovery I did
Code:
fastboot OEM lock
My phone rebooted I did it again and flashed the latest RUU for my phone which was TMOUS 1.84 or something like that.
That seemed to work. Now running android 4.0.4.

I'm just curious are you from UK or USA. I supercid my phone yesterday and tried flashing three different ruu's but none of them worked. But then again my bootloader is unlocked so I'm not sure whether locking it will help.

I'm from us, but please don't hate me i didn't decide to be birthed here
I'm assuming your a tmobile UK user due to your post. I'm not really familiar as to what to do with your situation as I've never dealt with UK RUU Issues. I would assume you probably can't use any of the RUUs from anywhere else. You would think T-Mobile would have an international one out. I would probably not risk damaging your device using other carriers unless someone tells you it works. I don't see why trying a tmous RUU would harm you though. There are two versions of it out a 1.54 and 1.84 I believe. I don't know what effect itll have on your phone though so don't blame me if it bricks if you try.
Ive got a huge problem I supercid my phone last night and after that I couldn't call or text anyone as well as recieve. I even unsupercid my phone and back to the original HTC__001 cid. So can anyone give me a solution. Btw I relocked my bootloader and ran the European RUU and it worked

Maybe try to run the RUU again? Or a factory reset.

No no this happened due to me trying to super cid. I just did the ruu right now. I think I need to flash a radio but not sure how to
Sent from my HTC One S using xda app-developers app
That's possible I suppose. Here is how.
After flashing your device properly, start it up and let everything run a few minutes so the ROM can get settled in, I assume you've done that already.
Next you download the radio image you need, I'm not sure which it is I don't know what your running.
Then reboot to fast boot.
Enter
Code:
fastboot flash radio radio.IMG
Then reboot your phone with
Code:
fastboot reboot
Or you can do it through a menu on the device.
Then you should have your radio set.
Someone please correct if anything is wrong.

Hey guys, I just picked up a Inspire as a play toy since my cousin upgraded.. What in looking for is a RUU for the latest update if there is any.. 2.3.5, firmware 3.20 if I'm not mistaken. (Its not in front of me at the moment).. I've tried numerous sites and it seems as though they don't exist anymore..
Quick history, phone worked fine. Bone stock, never rooted or unlocked. So she took the latest update, and ever since then it has problems... Main thing is when the screen goes black, it reboots. EVERY SINGLE TIME. So I decided to unlock via htcdev, fastbooted twrp 2.4.4.0, and flashed a rom to see if it fixed it. Flashed jellytime and respective gapps, no dice. Phone is still rebooting upon locking. Last resort is a ruu... I've tried over clocking, overvolting, etc... No go. I'm not ruling out hardware 100%, but bc it didn't do this before the update makes it last on my list... Any advice?

Hey thanks man. I'll give that a shot .
One more question, if I flash the stock lower firmware zip, would that be enough to run the aahk to s-off? Or is there more to it than that? Last time I tried it said the firmware was not supported up to that version

I wouldn't recommend flashing a lower firmware.... Not sure if anything bad will happen but it does not seem like a good idea. Besides, aahk has been retired. There is no support for it and it is only for advanced users.
You can try glevitans tool in the development section to unlock your bootloader but he two has left these forums due to too many self rightious (or however you spell that) noobs.

Hopefully someone could give a few more opinions before I throw this thing in the trash can... I'm still having the reboot issue... I can use it for hours on end as long as the screen is on. It will stay on if its connected to any power source... But when its not plugged in and the screen locks it reboots about 3 seconds later...
Didn't do this before I took the 2.35 ota.. I've tried 15 different ROMs, different kernels, I tried overclocking and trying to get rid of deep sleep. Don't know what else to do. I'd love to try to raise the voltage but every kernel/ROM I use doesn't give me that option.
Also I'd like to mention when I boot into bootloader it immediately searches for pd98img.zip. is this normal? I never seen another boot loader look for a certain file..
Anyway, any help will be appreciated... I'd hate to get rid of this phone if its fixable...

Alright here's the issue...
Ok so my brother had my rooted HTC SENSATION S-ON with CM9, and he was longboarding and txting (bad combination...). As it results, obviously, he fell and desintegrated the screen, but the phone was fully functional before. Couple of months after the incident, before fixing it, i took it out of the drawer i had it put away and turned it on, and earlier that day i had found a very stable cm10.1 rom for it so i went ahead and installed it because wifi and bluetooth was functional on it. After i do so, i try to turn my wifi on in the innitial Google log on and on the screen it said "Turning WiFi on." and i waited about half an hour and nothing, so i skipped it. When i went into the settings app i tried turning bluetooth on and the switch went back to off instantly. And i went online and did research and saw a guy that just pulled the bluetooth and wifi connectors for the antenna up so they would actually work, and i tried it, but no luck... I also tried flashing the boot.img for the current rom, but also didnt work. So i thought it might have been the rom since it wasnt fully stable yet, so i did a full wipe and re-flashed the currnet rom and re-flashed the boot.img but no luck. So i downloaded a stable release of cm9 and did full wipe and installed the boot.img for that version of cm9, but yet again no luck... So i re-installed the cm10.1 Albinoman build and lived on 4G so far... i need help on re-enabling bluetooth and wifi....plz help im desperate
P.S. I think this might have to do with the incident of the screen, but i dont think its hardware related...anyways im going to have the screen replaced this monday, so wish me luck

No, a full wipe is not required for s-off.
You can go to "about phone" in the settings to find out about your radio version. It should be the baseband numbers/letters.

hi, didn't see anywhere that you mention your android version, if it is 4.2.X, don't try to turn the WiFi on, rather go to advanced WiFi settings and select a region code in there, whatever you liked. but in case it is 4.1.X then Install WiFix Manager while WiFi is off, and reboot your phone.
good luck. :good:

that the process is pretty complicated, i yet do not have the knowledge to understand.
help
Hey guys I need help with my galaxy note 2 t0ltetmo, if anyone is interested and is willing to help me with this one I'd appreciate it, cause no one seems to help me. Please help if you can, I'm in desperate need here. Anyways here's the link to the forum: http:// http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48442689&nocache=1
I did search and found some info, but still require some help
Have a One XL, I owned this phone since new, but was using a couple of other devices in the past few months, friend of mine borrowed the One XL, and had asked me before if it was ok for him to flash a different ROM.
Turns out he flashed the Viper XL rom, and its really good, but, since then, he's returned the phone back to me, and I'm intending on passing the phone along to my mother.
I think she'll find it easier without all the different Viper settings and variables, so would like to return to original, but it appears that (when booting into recovery) that there isnt a backup in there? My mate said he probably wiped it by accident
I have all the right tools on my PC, but need some help and guidance on how to:
1. Download original ROM
2. Flash it back
any tips?
thanks!
I have a Samsung GS 1 and if I want to flash back an original rom I go into download mode and use ODIN or THOR (?) to flash back the original ROM.
I don't know if the same tools can be used for your phone.

rather than original rom why don't you just flash one of the rooted almost stock roms here? UrDroid or CleanROM would be good choices.
If he's giving it to his mother, I don't think root is a good idea, just in case. That's like giving a non techy a pc with Linux and giving their default account root access.
Go to your bootloader and tell me what hboot version you have and if it says s-on or s-off.
Is your phone from at&t?
Essentially your options would be to flash a stock non rooted rom or ruu. But to ruu you would need to meet certain conditions or you'll brick.

Thanks for that. Sorry for the late response. I've been away for work. In fact I'm still away. I believe from memory its S-off. Not from AT&T. Hong Kong stock I believe (online purchase)
Can't confirm hboot till I see the phone next. Maybe a month away!!
