Yes it will work... And you also need to change ro.product.board to MSM8960 ... It will also help you to get incompatible apps and games...
And please don't play with build.prop... It's very sensitive file.. If you want to edit some more.. You can PM me..

Hi everyone,
I have a created a CWM flashable zip of Xperia Tipo ST21i's 11.A.0.4.22 FW. It is freshly built in linux.
Features:-
--->Pre-rooted with latest superuser binaries and apk
--->Completely deodexed
Guys, as I don't own this device, please report to me if the rom is working or not. My main aim was to encourage development in this section. For rom devs - please feel free to use this rom as a base if you want to.
Download link -
NEW DOWNLOAD LINK V2 - http://d-h.st/EOU
V1 - http://d-h.st/xiy
Installation:-
1. Download the zip and place it.
2. Reboot into CWM and wipe data/factory reset, wipe dalvik cache and format /system.
3. Flash the zip and reboot
4. Tell me if it is working.

Of course. Untouched. 100% stock. No scripts, no tweaks nothing.
Anyone tried? Please please please report if it works or not.
Stuck at Sony logo
If you can create an .ftf it will be useful, this way:
Flash stock ftf>turn on phone>root>reboot>install CWM>Reboot>install zip
an ftf is faster and easier.Especially when you're trying to fix your phone fast,or coming from a nonstock ROM.

Can't we just do a nice and easy "mount("ext4", "EMMC", "/sytem");"
Because, I think CWM will either way know which partitions are where.
Would this work?
Q. How to use extra modules provided
Best way is to use init.d script to load them on boot.
e.g If you want to use the NTFS file system module. You have to first place the ntfs.ko module provided in /system/lib/modules. Then you need to create an init.d script in /system/etc/init.d with any name say 99modules with following code
Code:
#!/system/bin/sh
insmod /system/lib/modules/ntfs.ko
Next you need to give that file all permissions and reboot the phone and you are done!
P.S: Loading external modules affects battery life of the phone.
I can't understand it please help me (can't file, can't execute, directory bla bla bla) Help

For init.d scripts to work the kernel must support it...
