You need to edit ro.product.model
Yes it will work... And you also need to change ro.product.board to MSM8960 ... It will also help you to get incompatible apps and games...
And please don't play with build.prop... It's very sensitive file.. If you want to edit some more.. You can PM me..

No problem so far, so if you want to try, you can download this file first:
braviaengine2.zip
Extract its contents, I've put them on the location folder, example:
The contents of app/ to system/app/
The contents of etc/ to system/etc/
The contents of lib/ to system/lib/
Set their permissions to rw-r--r--. And then, add these lines to build.prop:
Code:
ro.service.swiqi2.supported=true
persist.service.swiqi2.enable=1
Save, reboot. Do fix permissions from CWM. It's recommended to use the SEMC Album, because there's a fiel named be2_album on it and it might be used for high quality photo shows on gallery. You can download the Album apk here, just install it as normal apk.

I take it that you are talking about this app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xiam.snapdragon.app&hl=en
which seems to be available only for North America and Europe (EU). By porting, did you mean that you have made it available for devices outside of these regions? Or what exactly did you port? This does not seem to be device specific (aside from the obvious need for the device(s) in question to have a Qualcomm processor).
It is available in Google Play store too!

How did you make it so you avoided the fact that the build.prop code should be hardware specific and not in the additional build properties?
This is a mod market that can help to access all apps in android market.

ro.product.manufacturer=Samsung
ro.product.device=Nexus S
After change please restart your phone(recomended)
Then install this mod maket

Okay i have a solution for this..Your build.prop is perfectly fine. Just follow these steps:
Uninstall the full Samsung hub.
Download the media hub from the link given below.
Install it. Reboot device.
After that open Samsung apps and you will got an update for media hub i.e Samsung hub.
Download and install that update.

Hi there
I have seen many posts where people are having trouble installing games from Google play. Xperia is a beast in terms of performance and it can run any game smoothly, thanks to its Adreno 305.
Here is the solution for those who are ready to make all applications COMPATIBLE with your device.
You will need :
ROOT
ES FILE EXPLORER
COMMON SENSE
You may use build.prop Editor from Google play but it didnot help me much so I changed it manually using File Explorer.
Instructions:
After giving root rights to your Explorer, go to device/system/build.prop
Open it using ES Note Editor (Comes with ES file Explorer).
Find ro.product.device
Change ro.product.device from C2105/4 to C6603. Save your file
Go to settings\all and open Google Play.
Clear google play cache .
Restart your phone!
You may change your ro.device.product by build.prop editor but it didnot help much in my case!
DO NOT CHANGE OR ADD EVEN A COMMA IN YOUR BUILD.PROP except as mentioned or you will be bootlooped
Good Luck! Just backup your data to be safe!
You may simply replace your build.prop with the one I have attached. I have c2105 with 4.2.2.
Attached file is in zip so please extract it first and then replace it !
Do everything on your own risk!
I can now install all Gameloft games
"Xperia L" works too.

Cheers for your contribution mate. May I add that, your device name isnot changed in settings at all even when you change it to C6603.
I did the usual process that is done when your phone isnot compatible with certain applications. Change your device name to the latest device in range.
However, after your post, I am to believe that Xperia L is supported by developers as 'Xperia L' , 'C2104' but not C2105. There are also differences due to regional firmware as Indian firmware users have reported apps to be incompatible while many blokes from America have quoted that all applications are COMPATIBLE without any changes to their build.prop which other users had problems with. What strange is both have same model name 'c2104'. Till now it is still not certain what is causing incompatibly issues.
I guess there is some diversion and I am sure there are always many ways to do a certain job!

Maybe it's come from ro.product.device=
How you see I change it to taoshan. Will revert the ro.product.name to stock and report back.
Edit1- Revert to ro.product.name= C2105_1272-2770 and still work.
So its work with only changing the ro.product.device=taoshan.
If I'm not wrong there is no matter of the name if the ro.product.device is the real codename(taoshan).
Can someone test this too?
Edit 2- Found that:
ro.semc.product.name=Xperia L
ro.semc.product.device=C2105
Seems that Sony write it correct but play store read the values from ro.product.* ( without "semc")
