Ubuntu for phones....is it possible for our Pico? - HTC Pico (Explorer)

so, ubuntu has come, but just for nexus devices....is it possible to make it work on pico?
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/TouchInstallProcess

Dear, its better if you delete this thread. Its just weeding xda servers. You already know, its available for Nexus devices yet and still not stable, they are working on it. How could you expect anything that much soon. Anyways, if you want a ubuntu interface, switch to any Nexus device or you may find a theme for any launcher or else.
And ofcourse, please don't forget to hit 'Thanks' in case I helped you

Well, am I allowed to ask a question too? How on the earth did you feel I was being rude? It was just insanity but anyways, you're being more insane replying with this kind of posts and putting unnecessary  and all in it . See, I respect all the devs and members here, you too, and have no intention of exposing anyone. OP, you're not wrong. Anyone can have question in their mind. Its good that you asked frankly. I'm sorry if you felt bad.
Now hit Thanks or I'll think my sorry didn't reach your heart.

Latest sak updates do suggest that" it's possible, but will require huge amounts of nand, which we don't have. Booting from sdcard is possible, but not practical. "
these words do suggest that that it's a waste to do Ubuntu on our phones as per sak. But, if I know sakIndia right, I think he'll do it anyway sooner /later.
Hope

You answered your own question. There's a Q and A section just for this sort of thing. Nobody means any disrespect, it just gets old when people don't read the rules and post whatever they want in here. The goal is to keep this subforum clean and easy to navigate so you can find the ROM threads without sifting through clutter. Don't sweat it, a mod will move this thread, just keep in mind that the development forum is for ROMs, kernels, and stuff like that only.

[Q ][THANKS]why do people ask for hitting thanks rather than saying thanks

First thread in xda. ..
I'm new to forums and other stuff.. so,here goes,
I've always wondered why people always ask to hit thanks rather than say thanks. Simple question...
NOTE :HITTING THANKS IS BANNED IN THIS THREAD. SAY THANKS INSTEAD
Sent from my HTC Explorer A310e using xda app-developers app
Becuases it fills up development threads with pointless posts. Hitting thanks keeps the thread clean and still lrts you say thanks
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Like zac said above, it is much more effecient and easier to tap a thanks buttons, rather than get 200 posts saying "thanks"

Thanks a lot for explaining..
OK it keeps the development thread clean.. .but I've seen people asking for thanks.. like they want it.. .more likely the only thing that post is written is for thanks.. .
Does this thanks convert to some money or something? Or why do people want this so desperately?
Can someone care to explain this time also? Thanks in advance.. .

I'm guessing some people see it as some sort of competition, but in reality thanks are pretty worthless.
It mainly shows that you have helped a lot and it is easier for other people to see who is legit.
THANKS
for explaining. Other sites have "Reps" or "Karma" it is tracked by the guys upstairs. They use it to determine if you're a good member of the internet at EOL.

Haha dw just copy and paste your question into the device suggestion thread, but also put in a little more info than you've given already. Just saying what your budget is isn't really going to help, there are so many different options. It would be a far more useful question if you posted some info such as what you're going to use the phone for, what you want from a specs standpoint, whether you care about OS etc. In addition, you may want to state in your post that PKR = Pakistani Rupees.
