[Q] Nexus S soft bricked?? - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
My Phone is COMPLETELY blocked. Looking for some help, as I'm unable to find a solution off Google.
Device: Samsung Nexus S i9023
Status: Rooted
Symptoms:
1. Will not proceed beyond Google logo at boot. Stays there for hours.
2. When I remove and reinsert battery, automatically starts booting.
3. Able to open Bootloader, but unable to scroll or select any options. (Should not be a hardware issue, as I am able to enter the Bootloader in the first place)
Now, for the tricky part. I recently upgraded to Win 8, so don't have the drivers installed. System won't detect the device, and manually installing the drivers doesn't help.
Would appreciate any help on the topic that could lead me to a solution.

[Q] Phone Not BOoting

I have a samsung galaxy pop GT-S5570. I installed clockworkmod rom manager. I did the flash rom manager thingy and when there was a board to select roms, I selected "Dell streak". Phone rebooted..and did not reboot.....Its not booting, nor is it showing the recharge thingy..
From what I can understnad, the original bootloader must have been replaced by the dell streak and therefore its not working.
Any way I could reset this thing?
Im having the same problem!! Help me for the solution
Hey, i've done the same thing, Im unable to boot now. Reply me what u did to recover. Help me out.

[Q] Kiccy K900 - Bricked Phone , unknown manufacturer, Recovery 3e, any solution?

Hey guys,
I'm posting on this forum as I'm really out of ideas and I've been searching for weeks.
Let's sum up what happened:
1) I got a Chinese phone from a friend, see attached for log files and specs,
2) I rooted the phone using a Chinese a software called Vroot,
3) Later, I used an app called Font Installer, but after rebooting, the phone got stucked on the Android logo.
* So right now the only thing I can access, is the original Recovery Mode 3e.
* I can't access ADB as I need USB Debug,
* Fastboot is not working on that phone,
* and I can't seem to find compatible drivers to Flash it.
=> In any case, I don't even have a compatible rom for this obscure phone.
I think as this stage the only thing that could help is to get the original stock rom, that I could put on the SD Card and use the recovery mode. But that seems impossible since it's a Chinese phone that nobody knows...
Any ideas how to resolve this issue ?
Thanks in advance!

[Completed] [Q] Is there a way to reinstall cyanogenmod when recovery/adb are not working?

I installed Cyanogenmod 12 on my HTC Desire 816. Everything was good until i wanted to delete some stock apps like "Email" and "File explorer". So i deleted their APK files, using a root explorer.
The problem happened when i restarted my phone to see if everything works ! But now the device does not boot up and Just shows the HTC logo screen and then after a little while it shuts down again.
Unfortunately Adb and fastboot does not seem to see the device, and trying to boot into recovery mode gives the same result (shutting down after seeing the HTC logo).
Is there anyway i can again reinstall Cyanogenmod on my phone ? It's like a softbrick state, but i can't access the phone at all since adb and fastboot do not list the device as connected and booting into recovery shuts the device down.
Any help to me is such a relief. I'm kinda desperate now, is there any way even a hardware way to flash a new rom and OS on my device ?
Thanks
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. I take it that your device is not recognized on your pc? Try these drivers,http://www.xda-developers.com/universal-naked-driver-solves-your-adb-driver-problems-on-windows/

Hi there, I'd love to help but you did not specify what version of Android you were running prior to getting a bricked device. However a general method would by flashing the stock ROM of the phone via Odin(I'm assuming its a Samsung device). Search for "unlock bricked Samsung SCH-1535" using the search tool. As for the marshmallow UI, this can only be achieved if you've re rooted your device and unlocked your bootloader in other to be able to flash ROMs with marshmallow UI. Alternately you'll have to edit the build.prop file located in the /system folder in the root directory of the device in question. This procedure also will require a rooted device. You can search around for forums that describe how this can be done on your specific device. Goodluck mate:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

Softbricked Xperia Z3 - locked bootloader, disabled USB debugging, no recovery access
Hey, I'm in big need for help in reanimation of my Xperia Z3. I've been trying to install CM 12.1 on rooted Lollipop 5.0.2. In TWRP, after doing a full wipe I've checked ROM on sdcard and started installation. After some time, phone prompted sth like: "there's no root acces, click ok to install SU". Guided by intuition rather than by wisdom I've clicked it, and here started my problems. After reboot phone was stuck on Sony logo screen. So, I've do some research and started to apply solutions one by another.
- After trying to manually access recovery mode, there's only a short flash of green LED and that's all, black screen. Propably there's no more TWRP aboard. Other ways to access it are blocked: I can't use any apk because of softbrick, and can't use ADB commands because USB debugging is disabled after wipe.
- I can access fastboot mode visible for Flashtool; when phone is in this mode, blue LED lights permemently. I've tried to unlock bootloader: program gives message, that there's no possibility of it on my phone. By the way, I would prefer to stay with blocked bootloader. I was trying to flash custom kernel, but there was an error. I don't remember exactly what it was, but it was about lack of permissions, i think that it's also because of USB debugging disabled. The same error shows when I'm trying to flash any other ROM - stock 5.0.2, prerooted 6.0.1 or Paranoid Android.
Most of solutions in similar topics around the web tells to use recovery mode, Flashtool or ADB commands. All af that failed for me and I'm stuck with no ideas what to do next. Now I'm trying to repair or recover stock, unrooted ROM with Xperia Companion, but I'm really afraid of this process because I can't check battery or load it normally while stuck in boot loop. Maybe it will help, then I'll edit or delete this post. I hope you can help me somehow.
Thank you in advance and best regards,
BW
