Flash attached files using the latest CWM recovery at your own risk. Still not found a way to lock the CPU @ 1.08GHz on boot, the OC version max frequency 1.2GHz for now and GPU clock 384MHz by default.
Using CyanogenMod's android_kernel_samsung_espresso10 by codeworkx, the newer Samsung's JB kernel update and KK-Boot's patch applied
LZO compressed boot image and kernel for faster decompression
Performance governor on boot, interactive after boot completed for faster boot
ROW as the default scheduler
"Sleep too deep" bug free of course
Waiting for your review, do not forget to press my thanks button or better my DTM button
EDIT: I will upload the patch, so P51xx owner can compile it from source, test it and write some feedbacks.

Kernel patch attached.

All attachments on OP removed. I will upload the patch, so P51xx owner can compile it from source, test it and write some feedbacks.

After updating CM 10.1 kernel for P31xx, time for me to upload espresso/espresso10 kernel patch as I have promised: find it in post #2.

Instructions would be nice

How about making max CPU frequency 1480 MHz? And GPU at 512 ?

Isn't it 1420 Hz?
Aokp kernel worked for me at that speed.

How can a normal person flash this kernel? I tried to flash the zip and it wouldn't let me. It doesn't detect any of the patch files.
Thanks.

You can always build a kernel from source. But if you want to try out the performance right now, download it from the first page. As usual, have not tested it since I do not have an access to P51xx. Maybe you could be a tester Waiting for your feedback and good luck with your ROM. Maybe one day I'll ask you to port it to P31xx

Well, I build kernel with your patch except the first 00-samsung.... as expected it bootloop, in fact it do not pass Samsung Splashscreen, but adb is working.
I'm trying atm to build only with OC and governor patch.
I'll be honored to be your eyes on this, i do not have the skill to edit kernel source, but i can build and patch for you
So if you want to make an OC kernel for my rom let me know
edit::
I tried build only with OC&Governor patch.
It boot, but OC do not work, still stock frequencies.

The default frequency 1.008GHz. My flashable zip from post #1 is a good reference how to overclock the CPU. CM has a performance setting page or you can use third party CPU clock setting (i.e. No-frills CPU Control). Every device has a different CPU characteristics. I'm trying to make a safe kernel for all devices. Users can then do the settings according to the CPU's capability gradually. No need to build different kernel for different target frequency, it's waste our precise time Sometime my English limitation limited me to explain what is in my head

I've installed latest CM10.1 M2 from today and after that put on the blackhawk 0.2-oc kernel.
Running stable now on min 800 and max 1350 MHz.
I've got a P5110.
Thanx for the great work!
Grtz,
John

Thanks for both of you for your confirmation.
I deleted the first version because people started downloading (30+) and none of them confirm it really works. It certainly is not helping developers to create something and it's not good for all of you.

Confirmed working too. Rock solid @ 1200. Haven't tried higher yet.
Antutu spat out 7630 or so.
So far it feels much smoother. Even at stock speeds.

Even on stock CPU clock, your GPU overclocked to 384MHz when needed and immediately down. No power drain effect!

[GPL] GNM OC BETA [p500 & p509] Kernel

Notice : I don't have this phone and did this as a favor to you guys. Please consider a donation if you are able.
Features added:
Interactive Governer
Ext4 file system
Tun.ko
Overclocking up to 864mhz.
Packaged in koush's anykernel for compatibility with any rom.
AS ALWAYS MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP 1st!
Flash with custom recovery. This is a beta run also. Speeds above 800mhz may be unstable for many people so find the speed that works best for you as all processors are unique due to construction imperfections.
Overclocking Notes:
Not all phones can OC and can handle the same speeds. Your phone is unique. Some can go up to 864mhz stable some can only do 729mhz and some can't at all.
Overclocking must be done with setcpu. After each boot/reboot the max is set to 600mhz to keep you from getting in a boot loop with an unstable speed for your device. To change it after reboot you must move the slider in setcpu to get the overclock freq to set above 600mhz. Do not use the set on boot feature of setcpu.

you need to do the jit and hw accel tweaks too to get that quadrant up. The finger lag seems like a hardware defect or maybe a buggy touchscreen driver from lg.
i have JIT and HW Acc enabled all the time.
Lol, I did +1350 @ Quadrant with my ROM.

[KERNEL-CM10A4] CrackerizerKernel - Final

Hello,
Before start working on the kernel 3.0 branch, I think we should have a good kernel for CM10A4 because 3.0 would take a while. So, I created this kernel.
Release:
Final - Jan 2, 2013
This is the final release. Only minor optimization are included. Dhiru already patched all necessary code to his kernel. I though about backporting DSSCOMP and ION but it seems not worth it. From now on I'll focus on the 3.0 branch. Happy new year to all.
R1 - Dec 28, 2012
Overclock to 1.35GHz but boot at stock (Vurrut)
No signal fixed (loSconosciuto)
Noop, CFQ, SIO schedulers
Various governors
Based on Dhiru CM10 kernel
How to flash:
- Download it to your storage
- Reboot to recovery
- Flash it as a zip file.
How to restore to stock:
Download and flash "kernel-cm-10-A4-restore.zip" from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2029921
Disclaimer:
As always, It is your responsibility to use this. I wouldn't take any blame.
All credits are given to:
- Dhiru
- Vurrut
- XDA_Bam
- loSconosciuto
- Adi_Pat
- UtterChaos
kool will give it a try
Features??
Thanks. But please post details such as governors and IO schedulers, boot @ 1GHz etc.
now we have 3 devs working on kernel 3.0 ))really nicee
:good:
Guys, try it out. If you don't like it, you can reverse to standard CM10A4 anytime.
Thanks for this crackerizer. I Was just recently thinking about the lack of an overclock kernel for Alpha 4 and you came up with this. Great job! :highfive:
Just the type of steriods needed right now
Thanks bro
Flashing it right away
Edit: kernel works properly, no issues yet.
rom is now much smother
Will report battery after 2-3 cycles.

1200MHz - very unstable
When I was on bam kernel (gingerbread), my phone was very stable (OC 1200), no random reboots or something like that.
On this kernel - 5min and 3 reboots and a lot of FCs :/
Edit:
1100MHz = the same problems like on 1200 and 1300

For me it's quite the opposite. On Bam Kernel or Vurrut my phone use to lock up as soon as OC applied to 1.35GHZ. Now it stays without any problem.
Ha thanks for the super team of developers. Now the room is smoother than ever(until 3.0)thanks to the overclock and stuff. Plus great there is the signal fix with it.

But got one feedback on the camera. Image preview is very much distorted.Too many flickers.(during video recodring too)
Never had this issue in the stock kernel or loSconosciuto's signal fix kernel.
can you please look into the issue ? and can someone else confirm this ?

Antuntu test: 4.0.4 stock vs. Mokee RC4+JBX 7b vs. MIUI V5

Hi,
See below a quick comparison between these 4 setups:
1) ATT ICS 4.0.4 Stock (no tweaks) @ 1000Mhz
2) Mokee RC4 + JBX Kernel v0.7b + RIL_SDRW_TWEAKS @ 1000Mhz
3) Mokee RC4 + JBX Kernel v0.7b + RIL_SDRW_TWEAKS @ 1350Mhz
4) MIUI v5 2013-04-26 591fan.com (no tweaks) @ 1000Mhz
(1) (2) (3) (4)
Antuntu Benchmark = 7014 / 7677 / 8892 / 7167
ram 1047 / 1165 / 1489 / 1154
cpu integer 1333 / 1359 / 1832 / 1333
cpu float 1095 / 1324 / 1791 / 1236
2d 501 / 542 / 565 / 482
3d 2417 / 2575 / 2506 / 2185
io 410 / 555 / 560 / 550
write 131 / 76 / 76 / 150
read 80 / 81 / 73 / 77
Besides the SD Reading/Writing, the combination "Mokee RC4+JBX" is the fastest ROM that I've tested!
What could be the cause of this weak SD R/W score?
By the way, Miui V5 had the best SD R/W score.
Unfortunately, JBX 0.7b still has the rotation issue...
Cheers,
Ricardo JĂșnior.

I didn't change anything after install the JBX 0.7b. I didn't even install the trickster app.
The last stable JBX kernel (0.7b) seems to have all the settings already applied to OC up to 1500mhz.
I just changed this configuration "Settings/Performance/Processor/Maximum CPU frequency" to 1350 (the maximum available) and it worked.
For more info about JBX kernel, please read the first topic of this thread that was updated yesterday. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2320784)

It doesn`t matter what type of ROM is. Just what based is. If it is ICS+ it is suppose to work.
benchmark your current rom, see score. Backup current ROM then install adreno libs and benchmark again and see if there`s any improvement.
Note that this are Graphics libs so see 2D&3D scores.

Holy crap that is good performance for 729. I used that ROM for a long time too but changed it because of some errors. Maybe some day someone will port the last update for us.

Antutu is no longer suporting Armv6 ( devices like gio, mini, fit etc )
Quadrant Standard still has support for us
Here's mine...without any script...nothing!! Just pure official cm7 with 24-30user apps installed.
via Quadrant Professional(coz it doesn't need internet all the time...& neither do I)

Slim lp with included kernel. Just downloaded antutu and run it.
And, yes, if this is consider as tweaking, i put under performance settings to "performance" from "balanced" mode... If that is tweaking, then it is tweaked

It does get hot when playing a game (but not very hot though), and I didn't experience any stability issues yet with my settings, but if I set the CPU freq to 2000mhz, i get a random restart (mostly occur when i open browser apps:silly.

If you would have bothered to have read the topic title, you would have known that this is a thread for owners of Samsung Galaxy Note 3's. Either that or you're a troll; in that case, 1/10.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 SM-N900 Exynos - Unofficial SlimLP ROM Beta
View attachment 3717606
As per title, SM-N900 Exynos with the Unofficial SlimLP ROM available in the Exynos Developer Section. While I like this ROM, I am having a problem with notifications and it appears as though development has slowed/stopped for this particular release, and for SlimLP in general. Looking forward to trying Safarend's updated CM12 and/or CM13 builds.
FYI the processor in this phone is the Exynos 5 Octa 5420 (big.LITTLE configuration with 4 ARM Cortex A15's at 1.9 Ghz and 4 ARM Cortex A7's at 1.3 Ghz), the Mali-T628 MP6 at 480 Mhz, and 3GB of LPDDR3e RAM. It's a hell of a lot of machine, and although the 5420 supports HMP yet leaves it unabled, it runs pretty quickly for an older phone, as the benchmark shows. I'm hoping that there is renewed interest in keeping these phones going for international markets, as it would be a cinch to snag a bunch of them, install modded firmware and resell them...
Thanks for reading, go XDA!
Are you butt hurt? Stop crying over silly mistakes. A polite reminder woulda been cool. Not a nooob here just don't say much. Watch and learn more . note 3 was 8 years back. Good school project.
