LAVA Iris 455 Official Jellybean 4.1.1 Firmware
IRIS 455 is a nice phone and it was recently launched by LAVA.
It has 4.5 inch capacitive touch screen display with 960×540p resolution, 1GHz Dual core processor with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
I am providing the official Jellybean 4.1.1 firmware of this phone to help the people who want to make custom ROM for this mobile.
Also if somebody having problem with phone, he can flash the phone himself with the help of SP Flash Tool v3.1248.0.96.
You will also require Media Tek Driver.
Process:
Switch off Mobile, Remove Battery and after few seconds again insert battery (Do not switch on mobile and also do not connect USB cable at this time)
Install MediaTek USB VCOM drivers in your PC.
Open SP Flash Tool, then click Scatter-loading button to load the scatter file.
It will load Firmware files. Click on Firmware Upgrade Button.
It will check all files and may give a Checksum Failed warning.
Just Ignore this warning, Click on OK if warning is there and connect mobile with USB cable.
It will start updating your mobile. Complete process will take around 5 minutes.

u r dong gr8 with Lava mobiles. thanks in behalf of all Lava users. In this forum i have found threads about Lava 400, 455, 501, 502... except lava iris 454 which i have got.
i want to try CWM Recovery 6.0.2.8 for Lava Iris 455 provided by you.is it safe? if not how can i restore my stock rom? i also want to mention i am unable to make backup ROM. so i beg you to post stock rom for lava iris 454.

CWM Recovery of Iris 455 may not work with Iris 454.
Very soon I will post CWM Recovery for Iris 454.
I will also provide Stock Recovery of Iris 454.

It will not work with Iris 454.
Have you rooted iris 455 as I am not able to root the same with SP Flash Tools. I am using the same method as prescribed for iris 501 but I am not able to install CWM on iris 455. Please guide...

Method is same as Iris 501 but you must use CWM Recovery of Iris 455. Here is link for CWM Recovery of Iris 455:

Very sad to hear that so many days has been passed but no development regarding this handset. Some where in xda itself i read that iris 501 is copy of some motaphone and developers are installing roms related to motaphone on iris 501 similarly if any body can help to find out iris 405 is copy of which phone then many roms can be obtained for the iris 405 also

I am a Android newbie related to XDA dev team ! Just got my Byond B63 rooted after trying numerous methods in the forum.
Provided some apps with root access to tweak most from my phone running Android 4.1.1.
Now decided to try a new custom ROM for my device which I could not find anywhere.
Is there any custom ROM for my MTK 6577, qHD, 512MB RAM device ? If it is not there yet, whether using custom ROM for MTK6577 of other device advisable ?
Please let me know if any info about device is needed further !

Today I saw One-more link mentioning new Kernel & ROM for MT6577 phone.

My phone Lava Iris 454 has same chip-set with 4.5" display.
Please let me know how to port this Kit-Kat ROM to my device which is now running Custom 4.2.2 ROM with 3.4.0 Kernel (only Camera Bug).

I have got lava iris 501 device and want to get back to stock jelly bean rom as I am new so can not post on the relevant posts., so sorry to post here.
I am unable to flash my device through my system there is some driver issues, I have tried many times.
I have got one tool here which will make the flashable zip file for android. I want to know whether it will work with the stock roms or not or if there is any alternative for my problem. I have been frustrated for a long time, please help...
