CyanogenMod 10.1 Screen Capture - HTC Sensation

I did a search for the title but no matches came back. I'm coming from Viper ROM where I held down the power button and one of the options was to take a screenshot. But how do I do this in Cyanogenmod 10.1 on the Sensation?
Thanks

Press volume-down and power at the same time, hold for 1 second. :good:

it's also available in CM too, Go to ‘Settings > Buttons > Power menu‘ then check the Screenshot feature.

I am using a cyanogenmod 10.2 nightly rom. Went to Settings->Device->Buttons . Put a check mark in the "Allow custom buttons" box. Then I set "Long press action" to Open/close menu. So now I can just long press on the center/Home button on my HTC One X to bring up sub menu. Needed this to access settings menu for pinger free text app.
The Buttons setting allows you to display the sub menu in other ways such as double tapping the Home button. Hope this helps.

[Q] Custom ROM with an on-screen screenshot button?

Hello everyone!
I am running JB on my Galaxy Tab 7.0 plus and I am loving it. One downside is taking off the screenshot button of the screen and switch it to the Volume Down + Power button. Well, just as expected, my Volume down button is not working. I dont want to change it to the Volume Up button because I know that my Volume up button will die too. So, is there any Custom ROM that actually runs JB WITH the screenshooting being on screen? I tried searching but did not find. I tried some screen capture apps but were not quite as good as the original.
Cheers!
Try aroma rom.. check it on the development section..

screen snapshot

There was a version of SultanXDA's rom that had the screen snapshot option when you long-press the power button. However, that version was full of bugs and eventually pulled. In following releases, the option was gone. Why was this? Is there a way to get it back?
You can take a screenshot by pressing vol down + power button for about 1 or 2 secs.
The option you talk about need to be set somewhere in settings, not sure where exactly.

Thanks! I was not able to get the vol down + power button function to work, but I was able to find it in the settings. Settings>Buttons>Power Menu. Works like a charm. You are the man.

Menu button

It used to be possible to long press on the task button and get the menu for most apps.
What happened to it?
Long pressing the back button brings up the menu for my Galaxy S7.

I had a piece of plastic on the home button that would not let me setup the fingerprint option but nothing on the back or menu buttons.

Long press on the back button works for me. I have on app. Shopping List that used the left side as a menu button but that won't work now so I tried long pressing the back button here too. No go. It acts as if I repeatedly pressed the back button. I ended up leaving a review for it saying they needed to update it for Marshmallow.

[Completed] Screenshot issue on new 6.0.1 cm13

what should i do
Hi there and welcome to assist,
There are two methods to take a screenshot on CyanogenMod 13 that are based on Android 6 respectively. The first method is more preferrable. The second one can be handy in certain situations.
Method 1
Press Volume Down + Power Button simultaneously.
Method 2
1.Go to Settings.
2.Scroll down to the Device section and tap Buttons:
3.Enter the Power Button Menu.
4.Activate Screenshot feature:
Now when you need to take a screenshot on CyanogenMod, press and hold the Power button and then tap on Screenshot:
You'll have to create an account to post in the main forums if you have any other questions.
Good luck
