I'm looking for the stock version, the one verizon pushout ota.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app

That is there, get the odexed non-debloated. The ota wasn't a flashable file but rather a bunch of patches. Unless you aren't rooted, then this wouldn't work for you I suppose

I'm confused.
You said you wanted a zip version of the OTA.
That is what I linked you to.
The OTA was not a "flashable" zip file in and of itself.
By itself, it is not flashable, nor a full rom.
I have repackaged it into a full stock rom for everyone's convenience.
If that's not what you want, then that's fine.
But you won't find anything else, except the OTApkg.zip which is not a full flashable rom by itself and you would need to be on a stock 2.11.605.19 rom to apply it.

Lol!!
...Sorry!

Wipe and flash in cwm
Just flash this as a normal rom?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda premium
Correct. Flash this in cwm like any other rom. Just after your first boot go back into cwm and fix permissions .
Silver03wrx, did you download it from minus? Does your build.prop say t989? I swear I put your builds.prop in before I uploaded

Wish to know... not sure if its a worthwhile update. from what i gather it fixes the voice search bug.
Acording to samsung touchscreen improvements. Other then that i do not know. Flash it. Check it out. Its best to be on the curent software anyway. Im glad we got and update so soon. Was unexpected. And i hope this is the case with our ice cream sandwich update as well. Lol a gift sooner then expected.

Doesnt this ROM have apps stripped out of it. I am looking for a official build not one modified by user and customized.
Anybody just have a copy of the update pushed out by AT&T. I looked in my cache to see if the fota is there and its not.

You can restore the fonts with Titanium Backup.

VRLG1 Stock Rom Where?

I am looking for the VRALG1 stock bloated rom that you flash in ODIN. i just unrooted and could only find the vrafl2 rom.
could i root again with vrafl2 and then flash recovery and go to a vlgr1 custom rom and intsall kernel and modem in odin?
Thanks
paul
I saw that file and tried forever to get it working. Why when i click "software update" "check new". it says NO New Update?
Also is vrafl2 with vrlg1 boot and vrlg1 modem the same as vrlg1 all togethor?
I'm using this stock bloated ROM but already rooted: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29921524&postcount=94
The link is now fixed...invisiblek said it was a bad upload.

I searched that site and found nothing. Also I see nothing by invisible that is a stock unmodified Odin file
Edit: I found it in the "stock rom" thread, even though the title only says LF2.

Question about downloading Verizon ota jelly bean update

I currently have leaked version vrblk3. I only flashed thru odin, nothing more. Am I able to download Verizon's ota update?

So you don't have CWM or TWRP installed?
No, I don't think so. All I did was copy tar file in odin and flash. Nothing more.

Just got the notice in Colorado
I have CWM installed. I guess I need t remove it to install the OTA. What's the best approach?

Why bother? The leaked version and the OTA are the same thing.

This! Leaked is now official...the build number didn't change so there is nothing to gain by taking the OTA.
I understand your point. Even so, if I were to decide to flash back to stock in order to update ota, I am able to just put my phone in odin mode and flash the stock ics Rom over my leaked vrblk3 Rom, correct?

Yes. Depending on which Odin file you flash, it may fully wipe your internal storage (including all your pictures, etc.), so make sure you read before you flash and backup your data accordingly! If you really want the OTA though, why not flash the Odin file for the JB OTA? That is the same thing as going back to stock, you'll just be fully updated already.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1974114
Ok, thank you. And as far as using the odin file jelly bean, I new nothing about it. I'm new to this custom stuff and it seems that I need to keep everything up to date manually. If there were automatic updates and what not I'd be more apt to running custom roms.

flashing question

im now comming from v. 4.1.1 stock and was wondering if theirs something i have to do differently. i was reading http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1762709
do i have to flash the 4.0.4 one, or can i flash the pre rooted version. and then i follow steps 8-12 in s.12?
???

Ummm you don't have a question here??? what are you attempting to do?
I would use this one.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2046439
I used that one and it wouldn't flash cwm after flashing the boot chain. I just odined back to stock ICS, rooted and unlocked, then flashed cleanrom 5.5.1 same thing lol or you can even flash the stock jellybean ROM floating somewhere around here

It works fine and you can run JB rom over ICS firmware but you don't have all the updates to the 15 or so partitions that you don't see. lol

RPM is really the only partition that we can pull and fllash like that. There are several other partitons that are hidden. Don't even see them when you Odin. There are partitions inside of the main partitions like the ones where IEMI are stored.

I have no clue. Depends what they change. And nobody knows what is tied to what. I always update all the firmware when OS changes or there is a major change such as adding Global. A 400 MB update there is more than just a rom upgrade.

Droidstyle seems to think using the full wipe version fixes some of the the problems. I have noticed a drop in the media scan after flashing the full wipe myself.
