I got a Telstra One XL running hboot 2.14. One of the requirements for the new s-off tool is superCID.
I've searched here in XDA and the net in general but I cannot find a tool that will change the superCID on the XL. The guides/discussions I found are for the AT&T One X.
thanks
ps. I've read replies where those with XL tried the AT&T superCID tool and it did nothing for them.

What IS your cid? Usually if you unlock on htcdev it'll be 11111111

I think your confused my friend att one x owners needed super cid to use HTC dev because our cid was blocked all other one x cid's could go direct to HTC dev and unlock the bootloader.

@op. I have a non AT&T phone too. This worked for me. Only took a couple mins

Obviously just do the parts for changing cid. No need to do the HTCdev part

Are you in fastboot? For adb commands your phone must be booted into a Rom

Also try reinstalling the HTC drivers, and just try a different USB port on your computer.
I think it might have to do with that new adb stuff in 4.2.2 I remember you have to have the latest adb and allow it to use it or something

Ok, I'm on 1.85 with an unlocked bootloader. Is there any way possible to return to 100% stock?
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
Yes as long as your cid is11111111 you can relock. Then run the 1.73 RUU

Thanks gunny. Will that bring my baseband, kernel and firmware back to stock numbers? I'm not sure what my CID is, but I know it's super CID. I'll have to boot into bootloader and check.

Super cid is
11111111 you're all set.
Won't it say relocked ? If that's the case HTC would still know something is up ,or not?

Gunny, if/when we get s-off, will we be able to get rid of the re-locked?

ok i will keep trying i just keep getting errors dev keeps saying cant unlock bootloader
i cant remember the exact errors but after copying my code it says something to that effect about not being able to unlock it
thanks for the reply
You need to get SuperCID first:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1672284
(there are more ways to do it, but I think a tool may be easier)
Then you unlock with htcdev.
Then recovery, etc
No cid/root required for a non AT&T Onex.
Just unlock at htcdev.

OK first off, you are in the wrong thread. Second, there are plenty of guides here to achieve s off. If you look on my SIG, click on those links and it will show you how to get super cid. One thing is: you have to be patient

also ive been reading htc dev has blocked super cid 11111111 so if you try your gonna wanna write cid to 22222222
I rooted my one x yesterday and I had no problem with htcdev. My was supercid 11111111
I have a Singapore HTC One XL. Currently I have SU and TWRP on my phone but I don't seem to be able to achieve S-Off through SuperCID, the CID doesn't change to 1111111 to enable me to do S-Off.
I'm running on HBoot 2.15, Software 5.05.707.1
Which method are you using to get SuperCID?

That's right, you have to change the CID manually. The X-Factor exploit (which the all-in-one tool uses) is looking for the AT&T CID. So therefore, it fails.
