SuperOneClick and MTKDroidTool
Hi,
1) Root your device using SuperOneClick (You will need Windows) (You will find many sites about it)
2) Search and use MTKDroidTool. It`s the only tool I find that can backup and restore these roms. Rom Manager, Titan backup, CWM doesn`t work on these phones.

Is it possible to do a full backup on a custom ROM with the Sprint HTC Arrive? I know I can backup my stock ROM just fine, but all the backup software say it won't work on custom ROMS, so I wanted to know if there is a way to backup a custom ROM in case I want to try a different ROM and if I don't like it go back, flash the first custom ROM, and restore everything the way I had it before. I understand I cannot restore between different ROMS.
If backup is not possible, what is the best way to go between Stock to Custom, then between different custom ROMS without reloading every bit of data?
Hmmm, I think You have to try Cab Sender: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1248799 and use B - option (B-ackup). May be works on customROM.

??????????
You can try and write here about that.
I saw the maybe, but I don't want to try it and have it mess something up with my phone and have to hard reset or anything. I have used the software before its the same one I used to backup my phone when I was on stock ROM.
Try this...
This backs up ENTIRE rom ... Give it a try... Worked for me but mileage may vary ... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1379571
can i use this method with a omnia w that have a original stock rom (7740) and after load this rom on other omnia w ??
Fellas, can I please get some help
I have been trying to install the 4.0.4 on my rooted and unlocked boot loader on my samsung galaxy nexus. Mainly because I want to see if the volume and signal are better. I have clockwork Mod Touch installed version 5.8.0.2 and also downloaded the tool kit by:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1400871
My drivers on my CPU correctly but I keep on getting this and it wont install anything. Ii did not want to install a new ROM but after so many errors I backed up my Stock 4.0.2 just to make sure and tried to load Gummy and that gave the same error. (I dont want the Gummy ROM) I just want the 4.0.4 here is a screen shot of the error message it is showing me. Guys, Thanks for your help in advance.

For one, it looks like the file isn't signed. Toggle signature verification off if you have the option (I don't know if CWM has the option, I don't use it).
There's something else that is going wrong, but I'm not quite sure what. Try reflashing the recovery. If that doesn't help, backup the SD card, format it, and try again.
So do u think I should delete clockwork mod apps and delete files from SD card then reinstall?

I got it now folks....thanks I now have a huge signal boost difference.

I bought my device almost 3 yers ago. I bought it from abraod and I brought it to my country. After a while I discovered that I can't update the android verison so I have been stuck with android 2.2.1
A friend told me about a way to update with cooked rom. Soon, I found myself looking in all forums for a good one, with explanations.

first I have installed all the drivers on my computer. then, I did backup to my phone .I went through all the steps in the link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803682
(I download SuperOneClick and enter "ROOT"). After that, an app called Superuser was added to my applications list.
Now I want to install 2 things, jelly been/ice cream and plugin of beats audio. the problem is that I dont know how to do that.
should I change the kernel version ? and maybe I didn't root it right.
Please help me,I'm so confused, I need explanations step by step how to : root my phone right
do recovery

Hi. I want to root my SM-T583. (galaxy advanced 2)
I googled it but there is no results on rooting galaxy a2.
I want to know how to root my device.
does anyone know?
please help me
You need to unlock the bootloader first. I think you can't find the way to root it because either it cannot be locked or there's no confirmed way to root it.
However should you manage to unlock the bootloader then follow this article on how to root with magisk.
You can use one of the two methods mentioned in the article.
I searched SM-T583 TWRP but there is no TWRP for SM-T583

Before a mobile's Android can get rooted mobile's bootloader must get unlocked. There's no way around it. To prepare unlocking mobile's bootloader OEM unlock must get enabled:

You can download your ROM - If you find that too - and patch it with magisk then flash it through Odin, but as I and jwoegerbauer said, you can't root without unlocking the bootloader.
i.e. You can't root this model as you can't unlock the bootloader. I didn't even find the stock ROM for this device except for Korean model.
