[Q] MID A13 and Elm 327 OBD2 code reader - General Questions and Answers

I've just resurrected my grandsons broken Xmas preezy, by fitting a new touchscreen and it all works well .
Trying to use The torque ODB2 program with an Elm 327 USB interface .but with no luck
The tab is rooted and its USB works with USB flash drives/Mouse/keyboard etc . and talks with my Win 7 PC Ok .
But refuses to recognize any other devices !
Is it just a case of Drivers ?? , An Oldie but a bit of a Android Noob.. I've searched the forum but can't find much related info..
The tab info is on android 4.0.4, kernel 3.0.8 , Build number 713B7 .V1.20.TZX.R01.eng. 1127 if it helps ? so just as originally delivered.
Any clues gratefully appreciated..

[Q] Help root software

We have a root software. (On Android market ,Fonjector)
Because it is used for Android device projecting, would you pls help test this on you Android device,if your device is root one ?
Thanks a lot !!
[Since URL is not allowed here, pls search keyword: Fonjector on Android Market]
Interesting... from what I can tell, only Samsung Galaxy S i9000, Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100, and HTC desire devices have been confirmed as working. I will test it for my LG GT540, see if it works and post the results afterwards.
Iam still trying to use fonjector on my smartphone (Samsung Galaxy Mini GT-S5570). I was downloaded all requirements that needed and followed the instructions, in the final step when I 'search device' from my smartphone..the dialog box says 'not found', I was checked my wi-fi connection..and there is no problem with it. My laptop and my smartphone was connected in the same wi-fi environment. What must should I do to fix this? I need help from the master , thanks

[Q] Drivers needed (jp1082)

I was given an ethernet/usb dongle a few days ago and i haven't been able to find the drivers for linux. So now i'm in doubt.... Are there any drivers out there so that i can use my jp1082-030818 on my motorola xoom?
Drivers found!!!
Guys, after a long search, i finally managed to communicate with the chinese company that sells these dongles on ebay and they sent me a link for the drivers. I'm attaching the drivers here for all of you who need them like i did.
PS- i'm attaching ALL drivers for the dongle, not only the android ones, so you guys can have them too, if you need them.

Can you post a tutorial on how you installed the android drivers? I tried to open the file "README" in the android directory and it's just gibberish.

Yes, but could you kindly post a tutorial on how you installed the android drivers?
thanks and merry xmas to all!
guys, buy a better dongle. I tried to port those drivers over a year ago. Those drivers are ancient and not compatible with the .39 linux kernel.
I am using a dongle from o2 in the UK. its called the e173 from huawei and it only cost £10 and could be unlocked for free. Can someone tell me how I can use that on the xoom through a otg cable?
Thanks

Didn't have to install any drivers. I tested it on a iMito MX1 running 4.1.x, and it runs out of the box. For some reason I only got low speeds (5-6mbit). Don't know why that is though.
hi
i'm looking for this driver, my android does not detect the jp1802. I see that the proposed driver here is not compiled and i don't know how to do. Is there a tuto?
there is somewhat a tuto in readme.txt, however part is written in chinese:
编译qf9700_android驱动
5.1 转到驱动代码目录下 : cd qf9700_android/
make
there are also some .cmd files
someone to read between lines?

[Completed] special case with rooting s4

Hallo, this is my first post in such amazing forum. I have a Samsung galaxy s4 gt-i9500 with the below specification
android 4.3
kernel 3.4.5-1875800 [email protected] #1 mon Oct 14 17:56:57 KST 2013
build number : jss15j.i9500xxuemj5
USB port is not working. Which made it a special case.
All what I want to achieve is rooting my device then upgrade it or use a custom rom. Since usb port is not working, it gave me hard time.
what I have did :
1 trying to fix usb port I have used every method ( changing usb cable original one , *#0808# mpt , Samsung drivers , kies 3 , USB Debugging Mode is enabled.)
2 – trying to root without pc tried (TowelRoot keep getting “Phone Isn't Supported" changing code and older version not solving my problem . Besides TowelRoot, I used some chines
apps but not getting anywhere.
so please help me root my device
thanks in advance
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA Assist kindly Register a XDA Account so that you can post on device specific forums
Rooting without having functional USB Port is risky has there are chances you may have to flash some Firmwares or if bootloops occur you may have to flash Stock Firmwares for which USB port is required and post of development stuff requires functional USB port so kindly repair your device USB port from official service center and they root your device
for further things kindly use your device specific forum here so that experts using your device can help you in more better way

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
There is no forum specifically for the Logitech Revue but you may want to ask your question with all relevant details in the friendly general Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum at http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help where members familiar with your device might be able to advise you. Since your device is quite a bit old, please give the members plenty of time to respond.
Good Luck!
