Relocking 2.40 telstra - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Hey guys,
Basically I've been running Viper 3 for a couple days, but Am looking at changing phones, So I want to relock my one xl. The back up i have is a 2.40 telstra stock, but it has custom recovery.
Whenever I try to relock it fails with a security warning. Its really doing my head in
Phone is currently

HBOOT -1.14.0002
RADIO-0.20os.32.09.15

eMMC-boot
I've tried fastboot oem lock and fails.
I've tried installing an stock odex 2.40 rom, which still fails to relock
Any idea? I would love to update the phone to Telstra JB before selling it.
Cheers Steve

Do I need stock recovery to use an RUU?

Current situation:
Stuck with a corrupted/unmountable internal storage on my One X, after flashing a custom kernel and a custom ROM (cyanogenmod 10.1). For now, I'm trying to get back to stock. I'm unlocked, S-On, and I have superCID. Is there any problem with running the AT&T RUU to get back to stock? Do I first need to flash the stock kernel and recovery or will the RUU cover that? Also, does superCID cause any trouble when using the RUU?
Here's my bootloader info:

Nope should not be a problem just relock your bootloader then run the ruu

[Q] Selling my One S, making it stock?

Hi. I'm selling my phone since I've bought HTC One Black. So... is there a way to erase everything and make it as it was stock?
Guess I need to do this:
1. S-Off to S-On
2. Flash this: villec2-jb-crc-3.4.10-055bd56.zip from http://www.htcdev.com/devcenter/downloads
3. Remove root
?
I just received an OTA update but it can't be installed, so therefore I want to make it stock so that the new user won't experience any problems...

Your are S-OFF?
So you need to follow this instrucition:
http://androidforums.com/one-s-all-things-root/691213-how-get-back-stock-facepalm-s-off.html
Some phones early phones were shipped S-Off. You do not need to S-Off. Just go back to stock and change the bootloader back to locked.

flash stock recovery, relock bootloader and run the ruu.
if the ruu makes any problems while your phone is up, try to boot into fastboot usb and run the ruu again.
dont forget to run the ruu as admin and be sure you have the latest htc sync drivers installed.

You have to update your HBOOT in order to flash 3.16.401.8 RUU, I've got problems flashing this RUU too. You need hboot 2.15 for this, if you're s-off you can easy update it following this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39216236&postcount=274 remember to change your CID to SUPER CID: 11111111 or you may have issues flashing hboot.

yeah it's kind a bug you get stuck at 75%, just type in prompt command:

SuperCID + S-Off. for unlocked bootloader Evita

Hi Guys
I am trying to get SuperCID, S-Off, then --> 3.18RUU and TWRP2.6.0.0 --> CM10.1 or 10.2
I have a phone that i Unlocked bootloader on HTCDev a long time ago. Rooted, TWRP2.6.0.0 running CM10.1 but because newer kernels require newer HBOOT so i am trying to get it.
I have TELST001 as CID
the phone in bootloader shows

I have also tried the oneclick SuperSID http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1952038 - didn't work
any ideas whats the best step to take to get to the elusive cm10.2?
Thank you for your help!

This should work too:
Code:
adb shell
su
echo -ne "11111111" | dd of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p5 bs=1 seek=20
Once you get Super CID, you can get S-Off using the method found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2155071
which worked wonderfully for me just this morning.
Then, once you've verified that you have S-Off, you can update your HBoot using this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2156686
I used the third zip listed, worked just fine.
If you do not have S-Off and you attempt this, the chance of bricking your phone is incredibly high.
When you get to green bar, as mentioned in the instructions, let it sit for a few seconds, and then move on to the next step without waiting for it to go away (because it won't...).
Once you're done with that, I would clear the cache using <fastboot erase cache>, flash your recovery software using <fastboot flash recovery "recovery software name here"> and then boot to that to flash your rom.
As I said, I just did this all this morning, and I'm happily running a rom that requires the updated HBoot. So best of luck!:good:
That's not entirely correct. It's not just the hboot you're meant to update. You really should run an RUU.

but when i go into recovery it gives me a big exclamation mark
so presumably the TWRP is gone
So i used goomanager to install. that didn't work.
there's no root (after RUU) presumably normal
what is the best way to get TWRP on, then flash latest CM10.1

I would like to S-OFF, and get it running like my other phone, if anyone can help me, I would be willing to donate the other phone, shipping paid, to the person of your choice ( Do note the phone has a problem with mic, where the volume is low, its probably dirty, but im too scared to try to take it apart, and would rather it be put to good use.)
EDIT: Got it past the white HTC screen for now, dont know why this time it is so difficult...
it boots HTC in green letters, then the HTC QUIETLY BRILLIANT, and lastly TMOBILE stick togeter, and then it reboots. I flashed it with 4EXT Recovery Touch in SMART MODE, but idk if it matters if im S-OFF or S-ON or what I am suppose to boot..

these RUUs will install the 4.1.1 Sense 4 stock right?
the question that i forgot to ask that will there be a problem if i run an old RUU although i've updated my phone to sense 5 before ,and all info in the bootloader changed?
It depends which RUU you run. You're s-off so you can run any Evita RUU, whether it's a forwards or backwards step. Just make sure you choose the right RUU (the 3.17/3.18 ones are Android 4.1 and Sense 4+) and you'll be fine.

No there will be no problem since you have s-off. Nothing in your bootloader will change. The bootloader will remain unlocked. Your cid will remain supercid and you will still be s-off. You can run older or newer RUUs without consequence.
