Question about screen timeout in using camera app

Hello. I am running Jellywiz' rls12, which includes the camera from the Note2. I have my screen timeout setting to 10 seconds.
The question which I hope the forum members can help with is this:
When I am in the camera app and idle, the screen does not time out. Is this normal? If not, are others experiencing this issue and is there a fix?

Auto rotate quit working

So auto rotate stopped working. Restarted. Any other ideas?

In case anyone has the same problem I figured out my accelerometer was stuck. The y axis shows no movement. RMA ?

What's the function of this icon?

I provided an image below, what's the function of that ninja star looking icon on the top left? When I clicked it, my pictures got deleted.. Thanks guys!

Its from the stock photo app you have to apps for it on the n5 this One and the gallery one

It's part of the Google+ application. If you have deleted/disabled that, then Photos get deleted/disabled too.
