Please, please, please! Read the stickies in each of this forums subsections. There you will find all the answers.
I make it a rule for myself to always read the stickies when i come to a new forum.
Of course this won't make you a developer but at least you won't be totally clueless like you are now.
Read all the stickies and you will be confident in what you are doing.
If you can't take the time to do this then you probably shouldn't be bothering with custom roms either.
Good luck.

God promised men that he'd put beautiful women in all corners of the world. Then he laughed and laughed and made the world round
iv read all the stickies already
none of the stickies answered the questions i just asked and iv successfully flashed the custom rom my only problem now is that im not getting any data service
and im still not sure if recovering from samsung kies will cause problems

First I do believe this is in the wrong forum. But I am rather new , I belive you should try FrakenKaiser but I have never had your problem, also did you unlock the phone first.
was this in the proccess of trying to flash HardSPL or trying to Flash a ROM?
Search, you'll find several Brick recovery threads

To The OP: any luck with this in other threads or just on your own?
@op:
download and flash your carrier's oem rom. You will recover fine. After wards first flash hardspl and than flash another rom.

Thanks for your help mate.
for what its worth, the other rom posted also isnt working. maybe its our CWM? it backups and restores fine, but i dont think anything has been tested as far as flashing.
no cwm works fine, its just the roms themselves. hes getting status 0 because he has an old update-binary in there.
however you do need to be careful because the other rom (who im guessing was also using dsixdia's kitchen) was trying to use an update-script (which hasnt been able to be used since CWM 3.0, we are on 5.5.0.4 now... cwm 3.0 was out with froyo).
if you want proof of that go find something like the v6 supercharger script and flash that, or any of the many many flashable things that wont screw up your system (here is a really good one i recommend its a REALLY nioce anti theft app) or heck look in your own general section for a man that took some time making toggles for you guys http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1620918 he seems to have it flashing through cwm.
the common denominator isnt cwm, its people using rom kitchens :/ if you want to use them to speed things along thats fine, really it is... however if your starting off and thats all you use then when things go wrong (like this or the other rom thread) you dont know how to fix it because you didnt learn on how things work.. just what options make your phone go zoom zoom! please dont take this as a bashing, but more of a "the more you know" kinda **** if your serious about rom development then pick up and learn.

QFT. It's best to learn the basics first, and go from there. Kitchens are bad news - don't use them, ever preferably, and at least not until you get the basics down. You'll have troubles otherwise.

There is no slim ics for this phone yet so you flashed something for another phone....on that note just one click back to stock without flashing bootloaders and you'll hopefully be fine.

But not your exact phone model (SGH-T959W). Read a little more carefully next time. Though you might get flamed if you ask a question about it, it's better than bricking your phone. Next time try to make sure it IS for your phone before you flash.

Shoot...can't remember off the top of my head...but anything by att...if you can't tell what app it is by the apk name open the apk up in 7zip and look for the icon
There's a bunch you can remove, and you can always use other stock based roms as a reference, an easy way to find out if its needed is go to rooted stock uclb3, get titanium back up and start uninstalling apps when your done getting rid of apps rebiot and see how your doing

There's an old saying that goes something like, "Greatness innovates, but genius copies". There's another one that states that, "Immitation is the sincerest form of flattery". There's another, somewhat XDA specific, that goes, "Read/search everything on the forum, then ask a question that hasn't already been asked and answered". With that preamble,
1 - This question is probably better posed in the Q&A section. Dev section is for, well, development.
2 - Taking a direction from the above quotes, download a debloated rom, unzip it, and compare to the stock rom. Read the OPs of some of the other roms, sometimes they list all the apps that have been removed. Mostly, you'll be looking to remove things from /system/app.
3 - Read up on deodexing and zipaligning, unless you plan to use as a base a rom that already has this done.
4 - Ask permission and cite sources if you use anyone else's stuff.
5 - Google, read, research, search again, repeat...
I know it might not be totally safe, but I found these APK sheets for the SGS2.
https://spreadsheets.google.com/spr...1gdDJRekl4QmkyNmIzUmRvX2h3UDVkQXc&output=html
https://spreadsheets.google.com/spr...=0Ag43oj7rLQP4dENZcmhGN0ZUa3pHSENVeXlqUm5vV0E
I always use them as a guide when I go around trying to see what I can remove. It may or may not be totally compatible with the Infuse, but I haven't had any problems so far.
OP...this thread has been moved. Q&A threads should be created in the Infuse 4G Q&A section. Not in Development.
Finished De-Bloating, thanks for the lists dht2005. They were a big help.
I tried the hiemdall, it wouldn't give me wifi, so I followed the modem installation guide, and well anywho
"Firmware upgrade encountered an issues. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
I'm litterly having an anxiety attack I payed almost $400 today for this.. I just want it to work and be rooted :'(
I've been reading through posts since 6pm eastern time, my head is so gone.
Read this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33275008
The screen you see is an alternative download mode.
I tried that, it wont detect it. The whole reason I got into this mess is because it wasn't clear on how to install the modem =.= ..
The wifi had nothing to do with the modem, but the kernel which was explained in there. If you get the firmware screen, that is download mode and heimdall should detect it.
Try pulling the battery and putting into download mode and if the firmware screen comes, that's fine and see if heimdall detects it.

The whole reason you are in this mess is because you jumped in, didn't read fully and tried messing with a phone that was only a few hours old. Many people have used my guide and other guides on here with no or little problems and 99% of the time, they can be fixed.

How would this ROM work out?
I wish everyone would just get a usb jig.
@Lesorin: I would think any SGH-T959V rom would work fine, as long as you make sure the rom doesn't include bootloaders. (am I right getochkn?)
And most roms don't come with bootloaders, because we all got burnt by KF1. Yea, old school
