Hello together,
I have a Xt925 running JB 4.1.2 (O2 Firmware, rooted, locked bootloader) and was wondering if anybody could provide me with an inverted contacts.apk or one with a black background. The one in my firmware has a white background color and that is really annoying.
I already tried other contact-apps and the best one I found was GoConteacts EX. Normally I would use it but it has this little bug that it breaks the contacts-sync as one can see in the playstore-comments.
So I basically ok with the stock contacts.apk except the white background. So if anybody could please help out here?

No one? I like black background too, maybe the apk from ICS? I update to JB and boom!, white background, I don´t like it...
I am using exdialer & contacts from the play store right now. I also installed the theme black ics for this app. It's not perfect but it does the job. The only problem is that if you add a new contact you get the white background again. In my case that is OK because I normally add my contacts in outlook on my pc and sync them. Dialer and contact lists are black and that is OK for me.

so i updated to the 4.0 leak and so far its been great but the thing that bothered me the most is the crappy EQ that comes built into google music and the fact that samsung is still using the same old crappy gallary from 2.x! so i replaced them with the stock 4.0 gallery and the DSP manager from cm9 and they work perfectly!
just use root explorer to move the 2 .apks to /system/app than reboot
oh and if you want you can disable the samsung gallery so you wont have to deal with that crappy thing
edit: so i couldn't get the stock ics camera working as a system app but you can go ahead and install it as a user app, the only problem i'm having is the video camera crashes a lot

Just tried out the stock camera from my transformer on cm9 and my skyrocket went black, vibrated a lot and crashed you could try camera ics+ or w/e is called, its in the play store but its a bit laggy on mine
Edit: I'll try and get the camera from my moms atrix on cm9, I'm not giving up that easily!

They did the same thing when they updated the original galaxy s to gingerbread, they're just trying to get use to buy the sgs3 when it comes out :/

Update: All seem to work, Some parts of the new camera app I like, others not so much, like I can't disable shutter sounds, or tell it to save to my external SD card, whats up with that? The gallery is alright, they added a nice editor with instagram like effects which is cool and easy sharing. Though they removed the contrast/brightness/saturation sliders, which I liked. Everything seems to be a give and take :/
Edit 2: The new gallery allowed me to make scrolling backgrounds work again! WOOHOO.
Any other apps from ICS worth getting? or ICS specific apps from the market?
also, maybe you'd know, anyway to theme the top notification bar to be blue like standard ICS not white/green like GB?
Can anyone get the mms apk for the messaging app?

I haven't really been working on getting more stock ics apps but I know that the movie editor works and I'm gonna try to get some more apps when I get home, BTW I'm not a themer(yet) so I can't change the status bar :/

hello i have problem with kik messenger it's work perfectly but when i open the conversation to read the text i wrote or some one send it to me i dont find any thing just a small square and on the left im using deep shining rom i tried to re install the app turn the phone off and then re install it but nothing change i have the same problem any help plz
It's caused by custom accent colors.. I've contacted the Kik dev team many times, but never received a reply. Change your color to one of the Microsoft defaults.

Thanks for the info on the custom color bug. I just put a Custom ROM on my focus and Kik was giving me the same problem. Put a default theme color back on and the app works fine.
Something to note, if anyone wanted to get around it, I managed to find a .xap of a (much) older version of the Kik app (v1.1 i think) and it works even with a custom color. I attached it if anyone wants. Beware, it seems to work fine, but feels a little outdated when used to the latest official release for sure.

I am not sure if anyone has posted this but the inverted ICS contacts and the email customization that was made for the captive works on the Galaxy S 4G. I am posting the link below in case it will help anyone who does not like the white and blue that comes with ICS. I am not sure if any of the other themes will work with the G4, I just know I tested these two tweaks and they run quite well on my phone which is running ICS / aopk and running faster than it ever did on a stock rom!

Hey all. So a while back, july/august, there was a n inverted stock jelly bean rom by iaio72 and it was awesome. Basically all menus and backgrounds were black I. E. The settings Page, power menu, drop down.
My question is, has this been implemented in any other rom? I have used xenon and cna and maybe a couple others but they all have the ugly default Grey background.
I have seen some inverted gapps but that doesn't include settings and such. Also, I have had the gapps work like once w/o constant fc.
I basically want my phone to be as black as possible

Our xperia jb roms have white themed apps like Phonebook,conversations,calendar,SemcPhone. These cause irritation to your eyes when you use at night, So i changed these apps themes to dark and everything is working on P,U,Go,Sola stock JB roms.

I just tested all of them by adding to modified/slimmed AVD Stock Rom v1.4 into zip it self just before flashing rom.
Besides flew graphics bugs all is rather ok. The bugs are:
Phonebook (dial pad tab) spaces between keys are transparent and you can see call log, but it working very well.
Can You change violet first avatar to blue or gray?
Messaging... when you open started messages from menu i still white. How to change red received conversation background to other ??
And obviously avatar... same. Can be other color?
Calendar is a little sad colored but still much better than original one. Only bug I found is that on month, week and day view event has white text on white background so is visible. Like on screenshots anyway.
Phone FCs at system start so no I can't test it.
Can you mod genuine phone.apk in that case?

I'll test them on stock rom this night. Wait for update.
Edit 20.07.13: Phonebook icons not appears in system but not FC. Maybe it's case missing framework? Tested on stock JB 11.2.A.0.31 little bit slimmed (apps, media only).
