[Q] Volume Step Mod? - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am trying to figure out how to change the volume steps on the Note 10.1. I listen to music through a bluetooth speaker at work and one thing that annoys me is the volume is either off or too loud. The steps are too far apart.
In MMuzzy's Galaxy Nexus ROM he modified the volume steps to 30 (probably a bit excessive) but I liked the fine control that allowed. Is there a way to modify the volume steps on the Note 10.1?
Thanks :fingers-crossed:

Headset volume adjustment

Hi there,
I bought the HTC Wired Remote Control RC E100 headset to use with my Touch Pro. Now that works great except for changing the volume. When you change the volume it does that in 5 steps from 100% to 0% volume. But the 20% (final step befor 0) is still very loud. Does anyone know if you could change the volume in 20 steps like you can using your finger on the Volume control screen sliding the bar up and down?
Thanx in advance.

Did you get any answer for this problem? I've got the same..
I always have the same headset and the same issue!! Someone please fixxx
Got my Touch Pro today and it's really loud in the headphones - usually it's the opposite problems with phones.
Use your finger (not keys) to move the volume slider and you will get 10% steps...
Also you can use Windows Media which has an independent volume regulator ( (+) and (-) buttons on the screen).
CorePlayer can also play mp3 and has the independent regulator (if you did not check "use system volume" in its settings).
I'm using the E100 headset aswell and I'm having the same problem with the volume control.
I've searched around and EVERYONE has this issue (also with using the hard buttons on the side) and NOBODY found a fix or regedit for it.
I guess we gotta complain at HTC's side for a fix for this, cause the E100 earplugs are loud at the 3bars volume aswell for me, but just perfect at 1 bar!
The E100 headset is working like a charm btw, and my screen doesnt light up when im pressing any buttons..
Me too... Surely there must be a reg hack somewhere?

:good:HIT the [Thanks]...OR
:good:RATE in Google Play as many [STARS] as you can..
This was exactly what i was searching for, but the vibration on triggering is a deal-breaker for me. If you can remove that i could use it. Also, it doesn't disable the long press volume control, and instead it thinks it's a lot of two-presses, hence it skips a lot of songs in one go.
I'm using a Galaxy S3, stock rom, with Android 4.1.2 and the stock music player.
It doesn't work with my brand new S4. I have 4.3 stock ROM using Power Amp

[Q] Volume control

Hey all,
I am coming from an EVO 3D which had CyanogenMod 10 with JB 4.2. When I pressed either of the volume rockers, the volume bar would pop up with the option to change all 3 volume settings, ringer/media/alarm.
On my nexus 5, I had to set up a shortcut for Sound Settings in order to change all 3 volumes. Am I missing a shortcut or easier way to adjust all 3 volumes? When I currently press the volume rocker, it only lets me change the volume for the ringer (or media if I'm playing music/games).
Thanks!
In the Settings hit Sound and then Volumes.

Click to collapse
Try actually reading the OP before you reply next time.
I really miss this option as well. I know some custom roms on my GS3 used to have an option make that sound bar expandable or always expanded.

Actually, shaneledford understood exactly what I was asking. I was just asking to see if there was a way to enable this volume setting.
Too bad Google didn't catch on to this neat little shortcut.
This issue drives me up the wall. Anyone knows a way to quickly adjust volumes without digging through the settings I would greatly appreciated.

[Q] Faulty volume up button

Hey everybody, this is my first post on xda , so please don't flame me with " Wrong category " replies and stuff like that.
I own a Sansung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300T. Everything is fine with it, except for a stupid little volume up button. Before you jump to conclusions, the volume rocker is not the problem. What I've done is removed the volume rocker and used a pin to press the ACTUAL VOLUME TACTILE BUTTON. The volume down works perfectly, but no matter how much pressing, depressing, and holding, the volume up tactile won't do jack s***. Ive had to make do with just pressing down then using the on screen slider to turn it up. Frustrating.
I haven't modified the Android (4.3 Jelly Bean) or installed a custom kernel or anything like that, everything is OEM
Anyway I could fix this myself?
Thanks for your support,
Polarixis
EDIT: this post is now in the correct category...I think

[Q] Bluetooth Headset - more Volume Steps

Hey,
I bought a Sony SBH20 to listen to music without having the annoying cable on my phone.
The Problem is, there are only 7 Volume Steps for the Bluetooth Device (Hardware Buttons of the Headset also control the Android Volume).
So I want to find a way to controll the Volume finer.
I tried:
- Increase number of steps with the XPosed module VolumeSteps+. Problem ist that also I have more steps now, only at 7 points the Volume realy changes. So I have no improvement here.
- The App "Fine Volume Controll V2.0" which can controll the Volume in 1% steps. Problem here is that I can only change the Volume in the app, but not with the Hardware Buttons of Headset or Smartphone (when the phone is locked).
So, any ideas for that?
My Phone is a rooted Sony Xperia Z2 with Android 4.4.4 and Xposed Framework installed.
I don't have this Problem with my old Galaxy Nexus with CyanogenMod (also Android 4.4.4) which has more steps for the Bluetooth Device. So I think the Problem belongs to Sony customizations of Android.
So is there any way to get finer Volume controll?
