Headset volume adjustment - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Hi there,
I bought the HTC Wired Remote Control RC E100 headset to use with my Touch Pro. Now that works great except for changing the volume. When you change the volume it does that in 5 steps from 100% to 0% volume. But the 20% (final step befor 0) is still very loud. Does anyone know if you could change the volume in 20 steps like you can using your finger on the Volume control screen sliding the bar up and down?
Thanx in advance.

Did you get any answer for this problem? I've got the same..

I always have the same headset and the same issue!! Someone please fixxx

Got my Touch Pro today and it's really loud in the headphones - usually it's the opposite problems with phones.

Use your finger (not keys) to move the volume slider and you will get 10% steps...
Also you can use Windows Media which has an independent volume regulator ( (+) and (-) buttons on the screen).
CorePlayer can also play mp3 and has the independent regulator (if you did not check "use system volume" in its settings).

I'm using the E100 headset aswell and I'm having the same problem with the volume control.
I've searched around and EVERYONE has this issue (also with using the hard buttons on the side) and NOBODY found a fix or regedit for it.
I guess we gotta complain at HTC's side for a fix for this, cause the E100 earplugs are loud at the 3bars volume aswell for me, but just perfect at 1 bar!
The E100 headset is working like a charm btw, and my screen doesnt light up when im pressing any buttons..

Me too... Surely there must be a reg hack somewhere?

Adjusting volume on BT headset during call?

I can't adjust the hearing volume on my bluetooth headset via the volume control on my Polaris.
Is this a bug or a HTC feature? In that case, a really dissapointing one.
The volume control on my 4 year old Motorola Razr did that job.
Anything to do? The problem is that my BT doesn't have any volume controls on it, it relyes on the handsets control (Sony Ericsson HBH-IV835)
Anybody knows?
Anybody knows?
It's bad, becuse I love that handsfree. But not beeing able to adjust the volume isn't good, I then have to change handsfree.
Btw, is there a registry setting for the BT handsfree volume?

Can't adjust volume on headset, anyone?

Hi, I just got my new Touch Diamond.
Now I have the following problem:
When I plugin the headset (HS S300), I can't adjust the volume of the headset. When i push on the little buttons on the cord of the headset, the phone will call the latest called person.
I'm wondering if I could change the function of those buttons. And how, if possible.
Or is there any other way to change the volume of the headset perhaps?
Thanks in advance!
the same problem i think the handsfree can change the volum
Oh, by the way, I'm using Dutty's ROM (v3.4).

problem with volume

hello!
i have a question about how to control the volume of the sound..
when you press the buttons on the left side of the phone, the volume increase or decrease by 20%
so, it's a problem for me, cauz i use a headset with a remote on it: when i'm listening music, the sound is too loud for me! it hurts! so i press the button to decrease the volume but it goes off!
i mean, if i'm at 20% of volume, the sound is hurting my poor ears, but if i press the button to decrease the volume then there is no sound at all!
is there a way to change the volume by 10% or 5% only when we press the left side buttons? i know i can use the stylus to precisely tune the volume but when i'm listening music i don't want to get my phone out of my bag or anywhere to change the volume!
i didn't find anything in the registry.
thx sorry for my english, i hope it was understandable!
I am not sure if this will help, but I tried reducing the volume with touch and it reduced by one or two bars at a time, instead of reducing by three to four bars at a time.
Keith
well i really don't understand why there is no registry key or cfg file where we can tweak the HTC VOLUME app...
any idea?

[Q] Does Omnia 7 work with Headsets for iPhone

Hallo,
I found the Bowers and Wilkinson P5 headset for iPhone today, which comes with an inline remote control for the iPhone, iPod and iPad. Since I really liked the quality of sound and materials I am now wondering if the headset's remote would work with the Omnia 7. In the shop where I was listening with this headset, they only had the cable without remote (they are exchangable). So I could not test.
So, my questions would be:
In general do iPhone headsets (especially their remote control) work with the omnia 7?
Can I control volume, take calls, skip to the next track by pressing play 2x, skip back to the last song by pressing play 3x, pause/unpause or can I just control parts of this, if yes which?
Has anybody tried the mentioned headset on an omnia 7 or a comparable phone?
Thank you,
Christian
Hello,
I try it in decembr (when i buy my omnia7) and NOT work the remote control.
I remember that one fuction work but not remember wich :-(
I try it this nigh again and i will tell you.
I read few weaks ago that all the windows phone 7 headset are compatible and some brands will release headset for wp7.
You can take calls, skip to the next track by pressing play 2x, skip back to the last song by pressing play 3x, pause / unpause. (Only the center Button is working)
You can NOT control volume.
And the microphone isn't working.
I'm using a iPhone headset but it doesn't have buttons only microphone. The microphone on this works with my omnia 7.
i have Altec Lansing BackBeat 903 and they are working perfectly.
i think that any a2dp device should work!

great info.
I`m loking to buy this beats and your opinion was very important!
If you do still end up getting them (they are seriously good except for the lack of mic functionality with my Omnia 7) don't judge them based on how they sound through an Omnia 7 - they still sound amazing, but for some reason its crapper through the phone than a 6 year old iPod :/
BOSE MIE2i has 3 buttons, VUP, VDOWN, START/PAUSE.
Only START/PAUSE button works, and others not.
i still have sitecom cn-530 headphones bought when I had the htc S710, and they works perfectly, play pause, vol up vol down, skip track..
Beats by Dr Dre don't work either Headphones work fine along with centre button but volume buttons and mic don't work

[Q] Headset Control Buttons Locked

Weird problem. Usually the Next/Previous buttons on the headset can let you move tracks backward/forward when you're playing music or listening to podcast/audio books. Some apps allow you to reassign them becoming fast forward/backward. The new Nexus 5 I just receive, the headset buttons can only do volume up/down, no matter which app I'm using. I don't see anything in system settings.
Anyone has same issue?
I found the same thing. Android support of headphones and accessories is terrible. There's no universal standard for three-button remotes and so far i've only found some Samsung earphones that can even do volume up/down. The rest only do play/pause.

The same headset functions normally on my Nexus 7 and HTH Inspire 4G. Is it possible LG doesn't support headset remote control?
