[Q] GalaxyModUniversal. - General Questions and Answers

Hello, I'm new to the forum, but I know quit a bit about flashing ROMs and a few hacks on Galaxy S3. I have a T-Mobile SGH-T999 and I have Stock ROM, but is rooted. My question is. . . if the "GalaxyModUniversal" supports init.d so I can have my phone still hacked by having the Internal Memory switched with my SDcard memory.

Rooted Haipai i9220 with some questions

So I have a few rooted and overclocked devices, Samsung Vibrant, Galaxy Nexus, and Nexus 7 to name a few. I just recently rooted and confirmed my Haipai i9220 but there are two things I'm trying to figure out. It is a dual sim card and I'm currently on a tmobile3g plan. I put it in slot 1&2 and still only get edge speeds and no letter H, like in my galaxy nexus. Is one slot supposed to be 3G or are they both? Also, is something wrong with my apn settings, because I put it back in my galaxy nexus and H bar appears. Also, I'm trying to flash the 2 or 2.5gb file but I always get an error in clock work recovery. Is there any YouTube videos on how to increase the installation space? I feel a bit lost with foreign electronics. I'd like to continue to hack it and see what it's capable of. Since I'm a newbie I can't post in the proper forum until then.
I too would like some information on this, and am unable to post in the main thread due to not having sufficient post count. The main thread is also pretty big and difficult to follow.
I have rooted my device. I would now like to be able to have 2.5Gb data. I see there is a patch for this. Can this be applied to the stock rom? Or does a custom ROM need to be flashed? If a custom ROM is required first then which is the latest stable ROM with all features working?
Once I have the 2.5Gb set up I would also like to know how to back up my ROM to transfer to a new HaiPai i9220.
Anyone???

not enough space to dual boot siyah kernel on galaxy s2

Hi. I have been searching for the answer to this for hours. it seems there isn't many people with the same issue
I have a galaxy s2 running a siyah kernel and resurrection ROM
I want to install a second ROM but when i try to first clone the 1st to 2nd it says there is not enough space(as i need 2.5 internal apparently).
My phone only has max 1.97GB for some reason. I have USB storage of about 11GB but it seems i cant use that
Has anyone come across this and can you help
Cheers
You should ask this in the SGS2 forum in the Siyah Kernel thread...
You should back up everything on your USB storage then format it... after that clone the secondary rom or whatever... you should be fine then copy your data back in your usb storage...

[Q] Going nuts flashing Roms

Good Day Everyone, Just a couple of questions, I will be extremely grateful for some help. As you've read I have been flashing roms like there was no tomorrow. My favs are cm 7.20 nightlies, Decks reloaded (awesome) Capt throwbacks stock rooted rom, Cm9. Too many to mention. Well here goes, from flashing so many roms, my data element has been growing considerably. ( Seen in Titanium Backup ) Is there a way to eliminate some of that data safely ?
2nd Question: Does it take up lots of space onmy phones internal memory?
Htc Evo 4g ( an antique but stll love the old girl lol )
Rom: Decks reloaded ( keep coming back to it )
Hboot : 6.16.1002
S- off
Recovery Of course Amon-Ra 4.3
kernel2.6.38.8 Mason G
sd card Partitioned correctly to 4
Thanks again in advance

I can't believe no one is willing to ask my question. So much for HELP from the Android community.

I need help for enabling mobile network on my rooted htc desire. Using cron mod 2.3.7

Hey guys. I am using htc desire about 2 years ...I kept it on its original software fot about 5 month only then I rooted it and I began to install different roms and kernel then for memory expanding ( int2sd) then for ram swapping but the proplem I faced on my recently installed roms that supports memory expanding is. That I cant enable mobile data network like the original rom ...only wifi can be enabled ..so can any developer here help my to fix that or to tell me that the mistake is in kernels or some thing else

[Q] A stable rom

Hello there,
I recently rooted my sister's Explorer because she kept complaining about low memory and lag. I rooted it but I guess I need to install a custom ROM on it as stock one is utter crap.
Because I am new to explorer forums can someone help me out with a stable rom which doesn't need a lot of tweaks and everything works as it should.
I had Wildfire S some time back so I am aware of ROMs and stuff but still as this is my sisters phone I'd like if someone can guide me what to do after I am done rooting. (How to install the rom and what partitions of sd card are required.)
Thank you!
EDIT: I shortlisted a ROM called "Exderoid Sense 5 Build#3.5"... What are your views on it? Any bugs? Everyday stuff!

Hi, brother, it would be better if you wouldn't ask for suggestions as it may lead to bickering and unwanted arguments between people.
As for the ROM.. I guess nothing is better than trying it out itself ! I guess the bugs will be mentioned in the ROM's OP .. and further bug reports in the thread of the ROM..
As for the ROM .. for (almost) all ROMs based on Sense 4.1 you need to create a 1 GB sd-ext partition on the Sdcard .. ext2 or ext3 is preferred..
Apart from this ROMs .. there are many other ROMs in this forum which are also pretty darn good. check the bugs out and try to install them , try and decide for yourself
Thread closed
No rom comparison threads please.
Try them yourself, there is no objective way to compare roms.
