Htc Desire S beginner

Hi all
As u can see i am beginner so i would have some questions to ask.
I would like to root device and use [Hyperion V2.1|Sense 3.0|GB 2.3.5],so pls tell me should i follow two specific videos for Htc Desire S on youtube about rooting device and installing custom ROM-s ?
My current kernel version is '2.6.35.10-g2ee27fS [email protected]#1 Wed jun 8',so what should i do about it,i have to flash new kernel to use hyperion rom or what(or it is automatically applied when i instal ROM)?
I am new to this device and to android so i don't understand how certain things functions and what should i exactly do,i don't want to brick my new phone

Please post details of your hboot (bootloader) version along with your current ROM details

To find out the Hboot number you must turn off your phone and then take the battery out. Then put the battery back in. You must then hold the down side of the volume rocker and hold the power button at the same time

thanks guys,i done everything as u said ,i done S-OFF than i rooted my phone and at final i flashed hyperion ROM...all is ok except one thing,my phone is still locked at carrier network can't use it with my current SIM so how to unlock it??

You need to take it to a shop or somewhere that does that, Rooting or S-Off does NOT sim -unlock

hi,i was trying to upgrade my divece to ota ics .my phone was rooted and have 4ext and....
i use superwipe so i havent any thing on my phone ,
but i think i do some stupiddd , that install firmware from ota file that i download .
now my device is

now my device havent any thing and i dont know how can i install rom on it

HTC Sensation HELP

Hello,
i have a problem.
I flashed my sensation to the rom Elegancia Sense 4.
I have opend my Bootloader ...flashed CWM and SuperSU.
I Installed Elegancia ROM, all finished an than ist die bootlogo and this 20min the same bootlogo..the phone started not.
And now, my phone can not started the ..orange light is gone off on ..off on
My english is so bad, i hope you can help me.

Can you go to bootloader?
What's the status of the phone? (soff/son etc etc)
Kindly post the complete details of bootloader if you can go to bootloader

are you S-ON or S-OFF?
if you are S-ON you must flash the boot.img of your rom

where your adb and fastboot files are
extract the boot.img and place it in that folder
then do the commands as mentioning in extra 1(as ganeshp said)

No you will just enable smartflash before flashing the rom that's all

is he has 4ext installed?because in his first post said that he has installed cwm recovery
sekko1 if you still have cwm installed,install 4ext recovery in order to enable smartflash otherwise flash the boot.img again after flashing the rom

wlan problem
the rom works...but the next problem wlan will not startet...fails

I told you to follow the guide by the letter.. That means you need to change the recovery to 4EXT too.. And should enable smartflash and flash the rom

you must enable smartflash or do it manually again

Then download the recovery to pc and do it (step #2 of the guide) .. Otherwise.. Connect the phone to pc.. Via Internet pass through and then do the step #5 of the guide

Ok then go to recovery and reflash rom again.. Don't so any wipe at all.. Just go to recovery and reflash the rom that's all

wifi
wifi goes...but found no router

htc sensation white screen showing only htc logo

hello guys i have a htc sensation it doesn't work any more it only shows a htc logo on start up when you go boot settings it
shows nothing else i tired rooting it and i think i ****ed it up is there any help for me please any thing would be appreciated

you are s-on then you must use a rom which based stock ics like revolution hd.
yesterday i tried something like you and same happened to me. phone stuck at htc logo.
then how you will install it?
i was used this to recover my phone. if you want to install your phone another rom like jellybean, first make it root and after s-off, then resume what you need.
hope this helps you.

guys it is simple
because of S-ON situation the only thing you need to do is use 4ext recovery to flash any custom rom
and before flashing any rom enable smartflash from 4ext(becasue of S-ON)

Flash Different RUU on different Carrier

Hry Guys this is my very first pist on XDA so pardon me if i make any mistake.... i have a question in mind i have a T-MOBILE htc ONE S unlocked so i can use any Sim on it... My query was that k if i can flash non t mobile ruu on it... or i will left with my bricked ONE S.... cuz my wifi hotspot not seems to work..... sorry for bad English.... and trillion thanks for such hardwork...

You must flash RUU what is correct with your radio

..... okay.... and how to check my radio

If you are s-off you can try super cid, it lets you use any ruu
Heres how:
1. Go to bootloader
2. Get into fastboot
3. Plug in your phone to pc
4. Open command prompt
5. Type: fastboot oem writecid 11111111

I wouldn`t use SuperCID, because your device will brick if you update from latest released RUU to latest official HTC version.
I yould recommend HTC_102 as CID which allows you to install the stock software without any carrier.

So i can S Off my TMOUS one s with rumrunner without having SUPERCID......????....Thankx FLASHALOT .... actually my official rom has many problems like i can't use wifi hotspot and can't transfer anything to internal sd so waned.to try MAXIMUS HD or any other rom.....
