I wrote a small Android App to count how many times you touch your mobile device.Fun facts!
You use your phone to make phone calls, read news, play games, listen to music, watch YouTube, follow on Twitter, chat on Facebook, and you spend whatever you can spend on that tiny screen. Hmmm... How many times you touched your phone everyday? Are you really addictive to your phone? Wanna see some fun facts?
Phone Addict is an Android Application. It counts how many times you touch your phone screen, and generates the statistic report. The report tells you which day and what time in a day you use your phone the most. You can also upload your best record to the world benchmark system, and find out how addictive you are to your phone.
How to use:
After you first time launch the application, please press the blue Power Button (next to "The service is stopped.") to start the service.
The application hides, and the service starts to track your touches on the device. Please use your phone as usual.
You can check the instant result in the notification window. Click the notification to open the application, and you can check all the details in the application.
You can view the daily summary, hourly summary, world benchmark, and upload your best record. (Internet connection is required for some of the operations.)
Press the Power Button again to stop the service, if you don't want to track your touches.
Notes:
The application is in beta. Unknown bugs may exist. It is only tested in limited resources. If you see any errors, or have any suggestions, please let me know.
The power consumption of this app is very low (tested). Please don't worry the battery usage of this app.
This app is FREE.
Thank you.

Hi guys,
I just made my first Android app and I'll really appreciate it if you gentleman can give it a whirl and provide feedback, here or on the Play Store.
The app uses your GPS to clock your acceleration and top speed.
How does it work?
Switch on GPS
Open app,
Wait for GPS to lock, and stand completely still
Then, do a drag race to record your best:
0-60km/h time
0-100km/h time
Quarter mile time
Top speed
Stand still again to reset the clock. Repeat as many times as you'd like - the app will automatically only save your best times.
I would really appreciate if you can install my app, test it and rate it (in app, play store, or here).
My two main concerns now are:
How accurately the GPS works on different devices. I myself have tested on Samsung Galaxy S4 upwards, and LG2 upwards. The LG's couldn't get an accurate enough GPS lock. Please use the Rate page in the app to rate your GPS accuracy - I get then get your rating plus the device model you used.
The legality of the app, and the likelihood of being sued if there is an accident. I do have an in-app disclaimer that the user needs to accept before using the app.
iOS version coming soon, and I know the UI still needs lots of work.

is this app adware or freeware?
nifty idea. do you employ any other sensor data?
Did you ever wonder which words you use most in your WhatsApp chats or who the most active person in a group chat is? Or maybe you want to know if there are any weird surges in your message activity at a certain time or day.
If those are questions that keep you awake at night (or if you just like colorful graphs) then this is the app for you.

Please let me know what you think of my app, all suggestions are welcome. I would also really appreciate reviews on Google Play.
Excellent app mate, are there any possibility to see which sentences or phrases are repeated in the chats?
Sent from my XT1042 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Glad that you like it, that's always nice to hear.
As for the sentences and phrases, while it would theoretically be possible to add such a feature, it would require a lot of computing power (at least a lot more than a modern smartphone has) to do this in a reasonable amount of time. As you might have noticed it already takes a little while to analyze larger chats and this would make that time even longer.

How many times did you tell yourself that you will quit social media apps?
I’ve done it multiple times, disabled my Facebook and instagram accounts when I felt motivated to do so, only to enabled them back again whenever my motivation faded and I felt bored.
Now, I don’t think that these social apps are completely evil, if you simply control the amount of time you spend surfing them.
That is why I designed and built an app that helps me limit the amount of time I spend on these apps and so far it has been effective.
The point of the app is simple, to help you reduce your screen time and limit addictive app usage.
I really think that negative reinforcement is one of the best ways to build habits, which is why I included it in this app.
Do you like watching video ads? I’m thinking you hate them.
With this app, you can launch an annoying video ad if you’re about to access one of your blocked apps.
If you find yourself regularly and mindlessly launching social apps, this little app will definitely help you overcome this addiction.
If you are interested in using the app, it’s available for android users.
Disclaimer:
Even though this is an app I built and this might look like self promotion I just want to say that this app has helped me and I think that it can help others as well.
If you can’t afford the application after the free trial, but you find it to be helpful, I will personally help you out with a free version.
