Hey. I was wondering if changing an app name would help bypass certain other apps that look for and block said apps. Its mainly to bypass gamevil games and most other games that force you to connect to the net so they can check for these apps. Im assuming they mainly check for the app name and anything else as an identifier, so if I was able to change these it should in theory work as a work around yes? Any other ideas are also welcome so please don't hesitate to add anything insightful and meaningful. Thank you in advance. :fingers-crossed:

If you install it in /system/app/
it shouldn't be visible in 3rd party uninstallers.
If you use Settings->Applications->Manage it's still visible.
how to hide it in "If you use Settings->Applications->Manage " ?

This seems pretty shady. I don't see why you would need to hide the application from the user's Application List.
...and you want it to run on boot? Hmm...

Regardless of what you intended on producing...I don't understand why NOBODY has actually given you a proper answer.
I think you asked a critically smart question...as I am a new member...I joined this forum ONLY because I was looking for the answer to this question.
I am not a developer (even though I would love to learn)... but I need to know how to discreetly add apps.
The Story:
I have installed a spy app on another phone of mine. (SmsBox)
I need to hide that software completley from the list of apps AND from the "Manage Applications" list in the settings.
I want it to run in the background constantly and do what it already does.
IF someone has a solution for me...(or gets an idea on producing a new app with this feature)...please let me know.

I found this thread also looking for some way to hide (maybe disguise and lock) locator apps.
I think it would be really useful to hide anti thieves apps. They're almost useless if anybody can just take a look at the apps list and throw em away.
I've been looking for an app with that feature (among others) with no luck (Watchdroid the closest, but can be removed along its disguise and password protection).
So... any advice?

You could write a text-mode application and just compile as a bare executable (not an apk). Just add that to your startup script (does android use init.d?), and it will be invisible to most people. You'll need root, most likely. (might be able to push over adb, then run via shell. Not sure what the permissions are on some things).

well i think this work is not possible easily, because i try to hack a game which made by unity in windows and cant do that,
but i see some customized versian of games which calls with unlimited money like need for speed most wanted - Unlimited Money
i dont know with which method this work is possible, but maybe possible during variable games

Hello guys, Is anyone aware of a mod or way of editing the Teamviewer Quick Support app to allow connections to a device automatically without the need for allowing access? I'm looking a way similar as you can do with the PC version of the software, connecting without authentication. This is basically so I can access my parents android box from anywhere, They are not very tech savvy and no matter the amount of times I try telling them to enter the quick support app there is always problems. Does anyone know a way to edit the app so to give access which having to allow it everytime?
I have a bit of knowledge on decompressing apks and stuff, but I wouldn't know where to start (if it is possible to edit something) to edit the app to my likings.
I would greatly appreciate anyones input guys, even if theres the answer No, so i know not to continue searching for what im after. Thanks alot.

Thanks for replying, I need this for many reasons one of it is hotstar app. You can find out more about it on google. The app generate a playable and a downloadable like. So how did the app do that. What kind of data is sent to hotstar server. And there are many apps which play video with in the app some eg: yupptv, sony liv, youtube, dittotv etc Play video within the app surely this type of apps needs some links to play. I just need to get it. I know its very basic question for a developer but please help me.

you can make a logcat of the application, and see what functions are responsible for receiving and transferring the data from the app, but do not tell what kind of data is transferring.
Additional u can make reverse engineering of the apk, and you can see the code of the application and its functions, and you can get an idea of the type of data being transferred and that situation, but no more.

Thanks for replying, I tried log cat but I could not understand it properly. Help me with this ditto tv app it playes live tv in hd. I just need to get that playble link. Hello guys, I've accessed this forum for many years now, and always found answers for all my Android related questions. Now the time has come that I have a question that I cannot seem to find a solution to and have decided to create a account and ask the best forum for help.
So what I want to know is if there is an app that can keep my game running on the background just as if it were on the foreground. I know a lot of you have played a game where there is an auto attack option and if you leave it on 24/7 you will get more levels, items and stuff. I've searched a lot and didn't find a good solution what I did find was this floating app that claims to kind of do what I want but I need to connect to a computer with adb everytime I want it to work. The name of the app is floating apps I can't post the link yet because my account is noobish but will update.
So guys is there an app or perhaps some way to edit the .apk so that it works like that?
Anyone? Maybe if I rooted my device?
