1st, I understood in the first second that he meant JB and not GB. Why? Because no matter how "noob" a person can be about roms he wouldn't ask for a deodexed rom is he didn't know that most custom roms are already deodexed, so he would notice.
2nd I agree that wether you understand it or not he sould have mentioned it but well...be a little more "noob"-friendly, after all if you would ask wither is or GB or JB it would give you 1 extra post
Thread closed.. OP please search more before posting such nonsense

Don't flash the latest miui.us version from ROM manager. I just flashed it and there's no keyboard. Can't input text to sign in or do anything!
This is not development. You could of just posted that in a existing MIUI thread.

Thanks for that helpful advice. I chose to post here where someone might see it easier and save themselves the aggravation that I'm now going through. I knew that I would hear from a forum snob but if I save someone from flashing then its all good .
What's aggravating about just restoring your recent backup?

It's not a advice, it's a forum rule.

This has nothing to do with development. It's your personal comment. What if someone else that has used ROM Manager and updated successfully? You never confirmed with anybody else. You would do this by posting in a existing MIUI thread (preferrably the one you downloaded the ROM from)

There should be a rule on ignorantly posting spam about someone's thread. I'm sure there is a way to report a thread if you are so inclined.
Furthermore MIUI.us often has issues. They don't just translate, they change **** up. I've flashed them plenty of times before with differences that shouldn't happen. I always use MIUI Android. Made by UK but its exactly the same language wise and they don't change anything; they just translate it, deodex and what have you.

You dont need to flash bootloaders. And use this rom to step up to a custom rom not your daily driver.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2031989
right way... not ... nevermind.
how? read the many threads that already exist on how to install.
xda is not user support forum. we are a software development forum. if we provide something, it comes with instructions not live tech/installation support.
please search before posting.

Hey MJ, I think this can be discussed over ardatdat thread.. @NewbieGalaxyR: buddy you can ask whatever problem is coming to your device due to Devs development. so please ask to Ardatdat thread for kernel.
Reported to Justin for this thread.
First of all this issues should be posted to kernel thread there is no need to create whole new topic for just a single issue.
Btw have u wiped data from CWM before flashing ardatdat kernel?
Try to boot in recovery mod if u r unable to boot in recovery than there are chances that its a brick.
If ur phone is booting in recovery mod than DONT RESTORE CWM BACKUP. U are having stock kernel and restoring nand backup is dangerous.
I suggest to donwload official ICS (from sammobile, see dev section for links) and flash it through Odin, than flash CWM and flash ardatdat kernel it will work fine.

There are lot of threads regarding these that how to be new user and not a noob. (like one made by mf in my sig) also we have sticky made by cooleagle regarding where to post. New users should read it first before posting.

This is okay guys. I'm happy with either:
a) a thread in General asking the question; or
b) a post in the respective thread.
In my ideal world, the kernel thread itself would contain nothing but the initial release and changelogs, and be closed after two posts (meaning people could only 'thank' the release, not post their thanks). All other discussion/praise/moaning/bug reports would be in a kernel Q&A thread in here, with one for each kernel/ROM available.
So I don't really mind seeing new topics for questions, so long as they are questions which haven't been answered time-and-time again.
Thanks for the heads-up and diligence though, I appreciate it greatly
Justin
Thank you Justin the way you are handling this Forum is really great....
@NewbieGalaxyR please make sure from next time you follow the XDA Rules...

1. DON'T post Questions in Dev-Section
2. Seek in Forums for whatever you need.
3. No Results? Post a Question in the General-Section.

Bro he's already posted the link.. And also use the search bar next time if u r looking for something.. Please don't create new threads unnecessarily..
Requesting the MOD to delete this thread..
Check the thread once.. you will be surprised.. there you will find the solutions for all your queries..
First flash clockworkmod recovery, and after that you can flash ardatdat's kernel v4 or above and it will automatically root the phone for you..

If you are unsure of rooting methods for the indian ics rom then you'll be glad to know that the rooting method for all ics roms is common.. Its not region specific..
And use the Q&A section next time..
Just follow what the others have mentioned..
