[Q] HTC One S Stuck in the HTC white loading screen! Please help :( - HTC One S

I originally had my phone rooted but I wanted to update my software to Jelly Bean so I unrooted it.
For some odd reason, the software didn't update even after I unrooted it, and I've tried everything but I think
I messed something up because now I can't even get back to the home screen
It's stuck in the HTC logo white screen and I can get into the bootloader menu page by pressing down on the volume and
power key.
But no matter what I press, like I selected the factory reset but it keeps coming back to the bootloader page.
I just want to get back to my home screen.
I'm a COMPLETE NOOB that does not know anything about flashing rom or boot.img or those things.
Please help I can't sleep because of this

It's probably better to ask questions in the "One S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting" forum, in there you will find an ***Emergency Thread***. It would have been more helpful to post exactly the steps you took.
For sure it's recoverable - nothing to lose sleep over!
You will need to come up to speed on the terminological and tools that are used. My suggestion is to have a careful read of this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2076086. It has a reference to a toolkit - I've not used it, but it looks cool.

I have done my research and yet... no result. Please HELP!! (I'm new to android)

Hello all, this is my first time posting on this forums, although I have been lurking them thoroughly the last couple of days, since I was able to finally buy myself my first Android Phone: HTC Chacha.
Being completely new to android, it was hard for me to adapt and learn all the new terms (like root, rom, etc.) and finally the day before yesterday I decided to dive in and try to mess around with my Chacha because I was tired of the internal memory running low and the lack of awesome stuff I could install, like a Custom ROM.
I have followed the guides in this forums, and I am glad to say that I have my chacha unlocked via the bootloader thingy from the official htc website (it says UNLOCKED when I open the menu when booting the device with the power and down volume keys) , I have it rooted and, somehow, I was able to install Clockwork Recovery Mod version 4 to try and backup the rom that came with the phone (from Telcel, since I'm from Mexico) and install a specific Rom (I want to install Stock Plus, here's the link to the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1690088)
However, I have failed terribly and I am just about to tear my hair out due to frustration. :silly:
Every time I run the Clockwork Recovery Mod from the Recovery option in the menu that appears if you press the power and down volume keys, no matter what options I choose (backup, install from sd, power off, etc) NO ACTION takes place and it just stays stuck in the logo of the hat with the orange circle. I have tried waiting for hours, taking the battery on and off, rebooting (is that the same as restarting?) the cellphone and googling like crazy.
I hate threads were people post because they didn't take their time to do proper research or just typing a couple of words on google. But I SWEAR I have been trying this for 6 hours, I have tried different searches and I am just about to give up. Please help me!
Is there something I need to install? Something I need to check? I admit I AM a noob when it comes to terms like "flashing" and such, but if you are patient and guide me step by step I promise I will do my best to follow the steps without annoying you.
I have read a lot of guides, posts in this forum and others, and finally decided that the last desperate measure had to be used: Ask for help.
If someone has ANY idea of what I'm doing wrong, please guide me. And I'm sorry if this post is too long, but I just had too much to say due to my lack of reaching goals for today, lol.
Thank you for taking your time to read this

Go into recovery like you have just described, once in recovery, before choosing any items like install from SD card of backup press the volume key (either up or down) multiple times until you see something like "back menu enabled" displayed in white text. After that choose any option you want, you'll be good to go.
Use the "enter" key on your keyboard to activate CWM options.

THANK YOU! I did just like you said and the "back menu enabled" DID appear in white text. I was finally able to make a backup of the rom I had in the phone. I am a very happy person right now!

[Q] [HELP],No Lockscreen. Factory Mode etc.

Hi everyone I'n not technically new here, I have used this forum for anything android related from my first android phone, However I have never posted here so bare with me please if it is in the wrong section.
So my story is this, I have had another galaxy s3 before this one which i hard brick because a rom on another website was listed wrong and i installed the international version. After receive my new S3 from Verizon i learned very quickly that I couldn't live without root. So i followed the newest guide to rooting. After I followed the guide completely I ended up with a rooted phone that has No Lockscreen. What i mean by that is when i press the power button to turn the screen off and when it is turned back on it goes straight to the home screen. Even alternatives like (Holo locker and Go Locker) don't work. Also when the phone is factory rest it doesn't bring me to the welcome screen where I'm suppose to set up a new phone with my username and password. The final problem is that it is always in Factory Mode. I have followed guides that require you to run some SU terminal commands and they have not work. Everytime a boot my phone it is still in factory mode.
I have googled endlessly for a solution and found nothing. Can you please help me?

[Completed] HTC One Can't Update With Root?

Ok please bare with me I'm new to the rooting scene. Ok, so as some of you may know there's a new update (6.10.531.10 - something about audio issues). So, I keep getting the notification to update and I've been trying to update for a while. Now, my phone (HTC One T-mobile) is rooted and every time I tried updating it would take me to the TeamWIN reboot thing (I don't know what to call that). So, I did some research and it turns out I had to install a stock recovery, update, then reinstall my custom recovery. So, I did install a custom recovery and everything is fine (not sure If it was, but my CID is TMOB010, something like that). However, the problem occurs everytime I press install it reboots fine and it goes into the green triangle downloading, then it goes all the way or close to it and it switches to a Red Triangle With an Exclamation Mark, and theres nothing I can do from there. The only thing I can do from there is hold the power button and wait for it to restart and it goes back to normal, and the cycle repeats again. Can someone please help me?
Edit: I do have S-ON if that makes any difference.
Hi,
I see you found your device section. Good! ?

[Completed] boot loop on the blu vivo air! help!

So the phone is not mine, it's my sister's phone, it is not rooted or anything, just a few days ago it rebooted itself and has been boot looping since, I really don't know what to do to fox it, the only things I thought of doing was to hold the power button and the volume up and down for a few seconds to take me to the recovery mode but it doesn't let me and yes I tried the two combos independently, searching a little I've found a few things, and they are that the phone might be soft bricked, and it tells me to download the android sdk something about cmw recovery but to be honest I'm not familiar with any of those things, any help would be greatly appreciated, I hope the info I provided is enough to get me some help.

Hello, and thank you for using XDA Assist!
Because there hasn't been any modifications done to this device, I would avoid at all costs any custom work (like CWM recovery), because your warranty (if your sister has one) would still be intact. Taking it back to the provider/seller is still an option here.
If you can still access what is called fastboot (if this device does have one, sounds like it does, although I don't know the key combos for that), you should be able to flash the Blu (official) firmware, depending on how they set up their updates, or at least get stock recovery going again. Once again, as long as you don't flash anything custom, you should be able to maintain the warranty status.
Please go ahead and create an XDA account, so you can post in other forums. Then, post in the [GENERAL HELP] Post Your Questions Here Instead of Making a New Thread thread (or at least) in the > Blu Vivo Air > Vivo Air Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum. Your device experts can be found there.
Hope this helps, and good luck!

[Completed] Nexus 5 power button got stuck. Fixed that, but my phone is bricked now. Help plz.

Hi guys,
My nexus 5 power button got stuck inside though it clicks well from outside. Problem with this is that the phone reboots continuously. This is a common problem for nexus 5. I fixed this problem by replacing the power button unit on the motherboard.
But now, the phone boots on until the colorful dots circling (lollipop booting) and stays there forever without going any further.(i guess its a boot loop)
I have never rooted my phone or done any tinkering with it.
I have not enabled USB debugging unfortunately and now am not able to change that. At least i don't know how to from bootloader.
I am able to get to the bootloader and get it to unlocked state. But i am not able to flash any image as the bootloader reboots and gets locked again and then i get "flash write failure" for all the commands.
How do i get past this, or is my phone bricked for good?
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
