deff. soo ive been interested in getting into unlocking and flashing android phones. I have spent probly the last few weeks on youtube and xda researching and filling my head with bootloaders,cyanogen mod,clockwork mod,titanium backup,etc ive finally got a few phones to play with to get a better understanding of what to do because im real interested in this whole area. Basically i got this evo 4g i wanna start out with its a good phone a common phone i guess, soo please anyone that can help me to learn more or at least point me in the right direction lol i know im in the right place just need to know how to get started????

I have been a member here for a couple months, but haven't posted anything yet~ so I apologize in advance if this is the right forum to be asking this.
I have an Htc Hd2- and have to say I absolutely hate everything about it. I was debating on replacing the windows with Android~ and would like your thoughts on it- good, bad or indifferent. The only Android OS I know about is Froyo...so if there are others out there that work better with HD2- please let me know. I'm am not literate when it comes to this kinda stuff- so please write like you are writing an Adroid for Dummies book, lol

android 2.2 rox for the hd2 but i found only bad thing after fixing all the bugs the batt dies real fast its been running for 2 weeks with no problems but lame bat time

yeah you will get that because i believe you have to basically root the phone and flash the 2.2 ROM on it, its basically like me rooting my MyTouch 3G and putting a CM6 ROM on it (same process with same risks)

Hey i got an HTC Evo for christmas and now im interested in rooting it. Ive read some stuff about and i was wondering what is the best way to root my phone and how to prevent myself from bricking it? My evo is running froyo 2.2 and has a software number 3.70.651.1. Hopefully someone can give me info and help me.
I don't have all the info right now but the best way to learn things like that is to use google or search the forums. There is a thriving community in the EVO section of xda. And just so you know, android phones are very very hard to brick, there is 99% of the time a way to fix any problems with it not booting.

Hey guys, I'm gonna be getting the Sensation in about 2 weeks and I would really like to help out development for the Sidekick 4G in some way. Since I don't have much knowledge in programming, I am willing to help out with giving a Sidekick to the devs here. I just got a replacement for my warranty so the phone is pretty much like new and I won't be using it at all. I don't know how much this phone goes on ebay, and I'm not sure if this is already been taking care of, but I'd be willing to help out.

But, if any other devs think they can get CM7 or CM9 on SK4G better then I can, I yield to them.
Or if you are more interested in getting money for the phone, it's probably better you get money.

I am trying to help a friend of mine get his verizon s3 to work on cricket. I have a tmibile s3 that is rooted with trw recovery so Im not a noob but I have never encountered something like this before. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would certainly appreciate it and I will be sure to hit the thanks or buy your a beer if you have donation set up. You guys have got me through so much crap in the past I hope I can find some help here tonight. I hate to waste ur time over something that there is so much info on already. my issue is the low space msg. I have spent the past week reading and re-reading all the threads. The links for clockwork and unrevoked r dead ends. i have googled those files and i cant seem to find what i need. Im ready to pull all my hair out, and when im done doing that i think i may find a stick and poke myself in the eye, its gotta be less painful than trying to root this phone. I have put about 50 hours into this project and i am no closer to rooting my phone today than i was when i started. I love this phone, as a matter a fact i just bought it off ebay and changed from my iphone 4s to the incredible. i bought a 64g sd card thinking that would solve the space problem, and well as you know it didnt. Is there anything else u can tell me that might solve this issue? or help me with the files i need. anything??? Not being able to root this phone and complete this project i started is making me CRAZY!!!!!!!!! Thank you for your time, and i completely understand if u call me an idiot and demand i step away from the phone!! !Hahahahahahaha
