I just realized that Total Recall is not working for me anymore. I suspect it has something to do with CM10 that I'm running. When I try and run the "fix" within the program, it give an error "File Check (Failed): Cannot find file SecPhone.apk in system/app/". I've checked that folder and sure enough, it's not there. I also checked the original CM10 ROM zip file and don't see it in there either. Any ideas?
Because that's the Samsung phone apk. Since you're on cm10 you won't have that. You could maybe try renaming phone. A pk to sec phone.a pk..... buy that week probably just cause force closes of your phone and contacts

Well that sucks then. So there wouldn't be a way to make this work with CM10 and not break other things?
What about clean rom LE 4.5? Does anyone know the settings I can't get it to work either.

I believe that if it's a JB-based rom, Total Recall just won't work. This has been addressed by Total Recall's team, but so far they have not made it work correctly. I'm on Beans 6 and it just does not work. If I do the "fix" it renders my dialer useless. It DID work on Beans ICS 15, though so it's JB-related. I don't know much about CM to offer an opinion on that, though.
Found this, but I don't know if it's applicable for the VZW G3.

Sorry for being dense. I recently switched from AT&T (ICS) to CM-10 (JB) - using i747 (s3) - and
lost the ability to record call (was using "Record My Call") which worked without issue on AT&T's
ROM. I've subsequently tested a dozen or so apps all without getting any positive results with
only "Total Recall" outputting an error (as has been noted in this thread).
My question is thus - do you need SecPhone.apk in order to record calls ? Or is there something
else that is fundamentally different ? I have SecPhone_ATT.apk from my backed-up ROM, can
I simply copy it to the appropriate directory (I doubt its that simple) ? If not, is there anything that
can be done to shoehorn that function back into the JB ROM ?
BTW: the SecPhone_ATT.apk's content differ from what is noted in the link above.
Regards.
I try to back up my tablet using Device Backup under Settings-Accounts-Samsung account, but it has a message at the bottom that says "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly" It has been like this for several days now. I don't think it has worked at all ever since I upgraded my Tab 2 7.0 GT-P3113 to Jelly Bean several days ago.

Never mind. I removed my Samsung account from my Tab and then added it to my Tab again. It seems to be working.
I have been using DailyRoads Voyager for almost 1 year without any issues. Even CM10.1 nightlies that came out 2 weeks before RC2 didn't give me any problems. Unfortunately, after upgrading to RC2, whenever I put the app in background recording mode, the phone becomes extremely sluggish, and sometimes even freezes completely. Anybody has any suggestions on overcoming this?
Provide a logcat, it will help identify where the issue lies.

I have uploaded the log (which I got using Eclipse Logcat) here. The log is from the start of the app till its exit. Please let me know if I can do anything else to get this resolved.

Did you ever find a solution for this? I've got the same symptoms on a Galaxy SIII, currently running the latest builds of CM10.1.
A build from 3/8 which I used for quite a while worked fine, but sometime in May I updated to a fresh build and found it was broke, all builds since then have also had the issue.

No. I went back to 15 Feb 2013 nightly build.
The app has the problem even with the 10.1 stable build. The developer promptly replied to my initial query with a debug build of DRV (which has some new features also ). The logs it produced didn't indicate any problem with the app. After that I didn't follow up with him. I will do it this Saturday.
Today, I did a factory reset on my phone, wiped everything and installed ‘Cyanogenmod 10.1 stable’ along with ‘DRV 3.0 Beta 2’. Unfortunately, the problem still exists. Given below are the generated logs:
ADB Log
DRV 3.0 Beta 2 Log (this is from a version I got from the developer).
I also captured a video at the same time the logs were being generated. The video can be viewed from the links below:
Low Quality (96 MB)
High Quality (518 MB)
I had this video captured so that the developer can understand clearly what's happening. The phone slowing down can be seen from 5th minute onwards.
I have also written to the developer.

That's the best idea since the problem is most likely the app and not the ROM. The app most likely needs an update to keep up with the constant updates that the ROM receives.

Tried AutoBoy BlackBox app today. It also freezes the phone similar to how it happens with DRV. The main difference is that with DRV, the freeze usually happens from the beginning of recording, where as with AutoBoy, it happens when I try to come out of background mode. The phone freezing/hanging part is quite similar in both apps. Can you confirm if this is happening with you?
Also, please recommend some other background recording apps I can try so that I can help in finding the root cause of this issue?

I'm afraid I won't be very helpful going forward. My phone is provided via my employer, and I was just upgraded to a Galaxy S4 that doesn't have the issue (and I no longer have access to the S3). Sorry!
Just to update:
The developer reviewed my logs and has come to the conclusion that the problem could be with the ROM.
I also tried Autoguard Pro. It also has the exact same issue when put in background mode.
For anybody stumbling into this thread because of this issue:
CaroO works properly in background mode. It also reads from the OBDII sensor (if you have one), and has a map view as well. I used it for 30 minutes without any issues.
I just ran into this same problem. Voyager with 10.1.2 & 10.1.3 caused absurd sluggishness in the phone. I updated to 10.2 9/22 nightly and the sluggishness is gone.

I have been using the latest DRV with CM 10.2 20131028 nightly for the last 3 days. I used DRV for approx. 3 hours in total (about 30 mins each time) along with Torque and Navfree. Didn't face any issues. :highfive:
Searched around google, xda, similiar threads, couldn't find any help, so i finally decided to make an account and look for some help.
I recently updated from my stock GS3 to CM10.1 RC5, and paired with NovaLauncher, i love it. But i ran into my first real problem today, and havent been able to find a solution. I have a logitech wireless headset (Model: H800) that i use sometimes for making calls where i need to use both hands while on the phone. Ive always used bluetooth to connect my headset and phone and it worked splendidly. This is my first time trying to pair the devices since upgrading to CM10.1, and my phone now will not recognize the headset. I cant connect them through normal wireless, so im not sure what to do. Will updating to the new 10.1.0 fix this? Is there a patch somewhere i havent found? Any help would be appreciated.

Bluetooth hasn't worked quite properly for a while in AOSP. I went back to TW for that reason.
If you want AOSP and want fully working Bluetooth I suggest SLIM version 4.2.2. Also don't update the kernel from stock on SLIM.

Hmm... I just grabbed my P5113 tab and turned Wifi on and it immediately chimed software update in notifications and went away. So like anyone else, i was curious and went to manually check for a software update and in stead of getting the normal "you have the latest software version" blah blah blah, it said this
"Access to the software update service is provided to users in the order in which they request it. Try later"
Now I can only assume this means the servers containing the update are at full capacity and aren't able to handle anymore concurrent connections. Meaning too many people are trying to pull the update?
Can anyone confirm this and is my assumption correct why i can't get it right now?
I'm seeing the same message. I haven't seen that one before. Fingers crossed!

Unfortunately, I now have the update on my GT-P5113.
What a major pile of crap. All of my carefully arranged Touchwiz pages? Cleared.
All of my purchased apps? Gone.
I'm used to that, since Samsung never bothered to update the US WiFi tabs to 4.1.2; the 4.1.1 release loses track of purchased apps when you reboot. For that release, I just had to reinstall them.
For this release? Nope. Purchased apps download, then the play store fails with error "-24". You can't have those back.
Oh, and of course, my root access is gone, so I can't remove the stray folders causing that "-24" error.
This isn't even a HALF baked update. Unless you're ready to factory reset afterwards and reinstall everything from scratch you may want to avoid it.
At this point, that's probably what I'm going to have to do.
Now to find out how I can get superuser access back. What fun.
hmmm that sucks man. sorry to hear, but that is strange about the purchaced apps as its account bound to your Gmail account. You should be able to just go and redownload them.
As for Root... I never had the need to root mine as i just used it for streaming my own content (video) to it and i already got 9-10 hours of streaming on 1 charge so stock was fine for me.
The thing is i was thinking or rooting to get 4.2.2 on it since you have to have 4.2.2 to screen mirror with allshare cast. I want to be able to run my slingplayer on my tab and screen mirror the slingplayer to my sammy smart tv. I can do it on my GS4 but the phone gets to hot trying to watch a 2-3 hour sporting event.

Yes, you can redownload. But you can't install them without removing the old copy of the application folders, which requires root. (You get a "-24" error from the play store when you try to install.
Oh, and they disappear again on the next restart.
AND it seems to restore a whole bunch of apps each restart, which then causes another mass download from the play store: Gmail, Books, Magazines, Movies, Music, Search, Plus, Hangouts, Kindle, Maps, Samsung Music Hub, Peel, Samsung Push Service, Talk Back, YouTube are all reverted on a restart.
This has not been good. As I said earlier, I may have to factory reset and start over. Maybe it'll be better starting fresh.
Hmm... I still can't pull it down. It is able to be had via Kies but I refuse to ever load that crap on my PC so I am stuck checking every few hours i guess.
I have updated my wife's GT-P5113 last night using Kies. Everything went smoothly. This one is as stock as it can be, not even root.
A factory reset got my problems completely sorted out. It's stable and seems to be running fine.
Apparently there was some kind of permissions problem in the per-user folder scheme but since I didn't know what they were supposed to be set to, I decided to bite the bullet and do the reset.
After that, and a long wait while it re-installed everything, it's working just fine now.
Yeah I got the download last night and all was fine no need to FDR for mine (though mine wasn't rooted) The thing i do not like is it went to a phone UI rather then the Tablet UI. I liked the notification area in the bottom right corner as to the top pull down like a phone. That i feel was a mistake in UI planning. Your hands normally are on the sides and to the bottom so it was more intuitive to get to the Notification area with your right thumb. Also the back button is now in the bottom center of the screen instead of the far left bottom where you could easily reach with your left thumb to go back.
Everything else is very familiar compared to my GS4 4.2.2 so that is good. Im not happy that there is no screen mirroring that came with 4.2.2 like it's on the GS4 and i even yanked all the APKs out from the GS4 and they won't install on the Tab 4.2.2 so it must be a framwork thing or system.ui maybe idk. all i know is im disappointed about this fact.
I still don't see the update on my P5113. Tried ota and kies, says 4.1.1 is the latest. Could it be that I'm in Canada? It's not rooted, totally stock. Any ideas?

Hi guys, I updated by KIES from 4.1.1 to 4.2.2. Mine is Tab2 10.1 GTP5113 USA WiFi 16 GB. Only problem is that can't turn device off... it reboots immediately after screen goes black... did a hard reset and still the same... then rooted to see if problem fix, but no luck... sometimes turn off sometimes not... next step could be install a custom Rom to see if I can fix the problem...
Wanted to know if somebody else faced this in past times or just in this new upgrade to 4.2.2? Or if somebody could give any ideas... maybe I'am missing something, maybe have to do or try something... I don't know..
Cheers

Hi @fgoyti for your location I don't think it is? I'm in Venezuela and I upgraded by KIES... unfortunately I got a problem... I described it in my previous post... Maybe you only have to try again.
Clean download and install of 4.2.2 yesterday. Went to settings, update software pushed the button and away it went.
Works great for me without any issues. I like it very much. Smooth and fast. On my Galaxy Tablet 2 7 GT-P3113.
I'm in Honolulu. Had to try three times before it started. Had to wait my turn I think !
My download was OTA from my GT-P3113 Galaxy 2 7 tried 3 times then download started. I went to sleep and when I woke up the new firmwar,4.2.2, was installed and running without my help. I am very happy as I said it works great, smooth, and fast.

Trying fixing turn off problem
Related my previous post... found original firmware 4.1.1 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1704668 and flashed it.. now I have stock and Tab turns off normally... well, when try to update OTA got the pop up message "Access to the software update service is provided to users in the order in which they request it. Try later"
Advice to who needs to flash stock 4.1.1 (for the reason it was): it happens to me... flashed following the post.. by ODIN with TAR but got an endless bootloop, the solution was going into recovery and do a Hard Reset wiping data and cache... then it booted normally. Maybe it happens because it was a downgrade... I don't know.
Hope nobody else got (and gets) the problem I faced when update to 4.2.2.
Now I'll try again to update by Kies to see if the problem persists... if yes then I'll get back to 4.1.1 and wait for OTA update...
Cheers

Hi @DrJoepa, did you upgrade by KIES or OTA? Appreciate your answer... :good:
Yeah i didn't have any issues at all, especially with turning on and off. I got it OTA and its been fine. Though it is a little laggy sometimes. I may just root it later anyway, but for now it's stable and pretty fast. Certainly faster then 4.1.1

Only can tell you that app Google Pay Movies works but the service it's not available in my country... about Google TV I even don't have the app.
Now I ask you about CM10.2. It's Nightly, isn't? And how does it works?
I am considering installing it because of the problems I described in previous post... none the less I will try the installation OTA because I have tried twice with KIES and my problem that unable turn off the Tab is't fixed... sometimes does and sometimes not... ii's disgusting...
PD: I saw that CM10.2 it's 4.3 . Please @ingenious247 tell us how does it works...
