Hi All,
I own an AT&T HTC One X which I bought from USA and I reside in India. I have the software version of 4.0.3 and I need to update to Jelly Bean, I haven't received any update yet officially and I don't know whether my mobile is rooted. Can you please let me know the steps on to get Jelly Bean.

go brick yourself
just root and unlock, then flash recovery and rom. all the information you need is super easy to find.

haha walmart , or call htc , they will send someone to your house and upgrade to jelly bean for you and also hook you up with 5 different accessories at no cost.

1. Wrong thread.
2. Jellybean Roms are labeled with JB or Jellybean. If you can spell Jellybean then you can find one using the search.

If they send someone to your house to install jb you have to agree to buy the next 5 phones you purchase from HTC . If you don't comply they'll keep calling you in the middle of the night.

My HTC SENSATION is from USA. and now i am here in the philippines.
I want to use my phone using the SIMs here in the Philippines (Globe/Smart). Can someone please help me how to unlock/Openline my phone?

switch off your device
pull out the battery, put it again
press and hold together volume down + power button until it shows you the bootloader screen

Hello Everyone, as in the subject, my touch isn't working, so i need to ship my phone(under warranty) to the technical center,
so, I wanted to relock the bootloader and use a ruu .
Here it's my problem, i tryed many many method, but i cannot use the latest available ruu (3.14.x) since i installed before the originale stock 3.18.x rom.
The ruu. exe give me every times the error 140, even if i try after rewriting boot.img, signed_recovery.img and so on.
I tryed many things, but i cannot do it, so here my questions:
1) Someone already have the right working solution? :laugh:
2) i thought to flash a stock rom based on 3.14.401.31 and retry to use the ruu, so can someone give me a link to download a "old" rom like that?
3) other suggests?

Won't work the ruu is checking your hboot version and you can't run a older version on the newer hboot

Be thankful it failed, that's a RUU for the Quad-core One X and you appear to be running a dual-core One XL. Had it somehow worked, you would have bricked your phone.

Then you're in the wrong forum. This is for the dual-core One XL.

I have a HTC inspire 4g. The same phone but just from America. I struggled To root my phone also all you want to look up is how to unlock the bootloader with root. We are unable to s-off anymore.I would recommend the jelly time Rom though ics got very unpopular when in came out

There is hope, ill try finding a thread for you during Lunch we are just unable to Get S-off anymore. The Person who made the easyest way root and get roms Got mad at the community for being selfish.

You Can Try this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2221039 looks like the Desire HD can get S-off which is nice. if you run into any trouble Just ask.

Hi guys, I just got an unlocked sim HTC One X from amazon and it had the Stock Rom which was 4.0.1 I believe, I soon updated it to 4.2.2 and now I am reading that is not possible to Rood this phone on this software version. Is this true? Is there really no way to Rooting this device??? Thanks in advance!!!
