[Q] Trying to go back to Stock need help - Samsung Infuse 4G

I was running scotts newest build 2/3/13 JB however my internal sd card kept failing.. i read going back to stock would fix the problem.. i have gone all the way back to gingerbread before and i got odin to work for me in doing this, ( it says it successfully passes, however when the setup shows up on my phone it says
"E: failed to mount /dbdata (File exist)
E: copy_dbdata_media: Can't mount /dbdata
your storage not prepared yet. please use UI menu for format and reboot options."
. I really need help i feel really dumb for trying this. I should also mention that i formatted my internal sd card before doing this

Ok so i was able to get it working i used a different tar file that was linked to me. i completly forgot how GB looked like did not miss it at all

[Q] sd card damaged

last night, my i booted up my phone, and it said sd card damaged. i didnt pay that much attention to it then, bcuz i always take my external sd card out wen it is mounted as mnt/emmc (im using cm7, so it gives me this option), and then it doesnt read for a few days. this morning, i realized that it was my internal sd card (because i can access my external storage), and half my apps are gone, so i decided to format it. i pressed format, it deleted my data and then it gave me a notification saying sd card is now safe to remove. i rebooted my phone, now its stuck in a bootloop. i can get into cwm, but it says E:cant mount /cache/recovery/command
E:cant mount /cache/recovery/log
E:cant open /cache/recovery/log
E:cant mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E:cant open /cache/recovery/last_log
i tried using the g2x cleanup batch, then reflashed everything, but that took me back to sqaure one.
im guessing that im goin to be needing a new phone right? if so, what could i hav possibly done to get myself into this mess?

This is a good tool for recovery try it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1248644
Good luck
You will need to root your phone again and reinstall CWM, in the future backup your SD card to PC every week. Make sure to replace your SD card with anew one

Nice
@maxesxp
What did you do to fix it? I've had the same problem now for a bit and I can flash a new rom or reflash stock and get back to a CM7 ROM but after a bit the internal SD card craps out and "Damaged SD Card" shows up again. What did you find to fix it?
Thanks

Thanks! I got it fixed by stalking you guys on a few other threads too. I had to reflash just one more time and then was able to flash a CM7 build, a new kernel and some other junk (LG cam, owain's v21y fix). That 9 to 8 partition swap was a great find. Thanks again for the help.

And I get Bootlop on samsung logo (the second one)
Don't know why, none Roms managed to boot EXCEPT THIS ONE (CM7) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1527359
BUT I'm facing this bugs:
#No internal storage at all (It says 0 and can't install google play apps because it says that I have no free space)
#Reboot erase all config and apps installed. It takes the phone like it recently flashed the rom.
#EFS is missing (Have backup, restored, but the problem above makes all difficult)
I'm thinking that the /device files might be corrrupted. But I don't know how to solve this.

It looks like that the eMMC is not working, /sdcard and /data are on it.
I don't think the problem is due to the fact that you wrongly flashed the files. As long as you don't mess with bootloaders, things can most of the time be fixed.
It looks like an hardware failure, but I could be wrong. I've no ways to determine it.
Anyway, the eMMC is not the most important memory in our device, you can replace it with the external SD. There are several ways to do it, some users posted their solution here in the forum, this for example.

Yeah, I'm starting to think that.
I will try to swap SDs.
But I have a question. My main problem is that most of ROMS don't boot. Don't know why, but the only ROMs I managed to boot are CM7 and MIUI 2.3 also. Why this? If I try a different rom it gets stuck in bootloop or doesn't even install it at all.
If a swap sd would this limitation of roms will be solved? I mean, this swapping is permanent or it goes away every time I flash a new build????

I can't explain why CM7 is working, there could be several reasons (/cache is inside the OneNAND, it's using your SD card for /data etc...).
The changes for the swap are usually in the kernel ramdisk or /system and both of them are entirerly wiped during ROM updates, so you should do them on every ROM update.

[Q] omni 4.4 help stingray

I am not new to ROM's I have dabbled here and there with my phones and the xoom. I followed the directions to a t for the Omni 4.4.2. I did the first part for putting bigPart TWRP on my xoom. I have the recovery on there and I can find my SD card with the rom and other files on there needed but it will not load after I install everything. The internal storage still shows at 0. I get the Omni bootloader and then a message from google pops up saying encryption unsuccessful and I need to perform a factory reset. When I try that it just brings me back to recovery. I don't know what I did wrong but the only thing that works is recovery. It's like nothing at all is on the internal storage of the xoom. I have tried to copy the files from my sd card over to internal and install, same thing. When I go back to check the files I copied to internal they are gone. The files I have on the sd card are there but it won't load the files on the internal storage to set up android on there. I can't even go back to an old restore cause I was using cwm recovery and the those restore files aren't recognized. I'm at a loss, any help would be greatly appreciated. I can't even get my computer to see so I can push the files over to it and I am pretty rusty with ADB to try and set that up.
I just tried to push the original twrp 2630 through adb and it flashed, I tried to reboot into recovery and it just staid at the twrp screen. Ughhh I'm getting so frustrated cause I had the xoom working perfectly on JB before I started messing around. Any help would be great, Even getting me back to stock and I can take it from there.

trying to give as much info as I can. I got the original twrp 2630 running, flash twrp big part, followed next step to to wipe everything except sdcard, this is what I got:

Error Mounting XT1032

So, I wanted to install a custom ROM, but somewhere along the way something went wrong and I got stuck in a bootloop, I've been reading up on some threads and I followed some steps that were supposed to fix it, but I feel like I'm in even more trouble now (Well, my phone is still alive so I still have hope but yeah..)
Anyways, I'm using Philz custom recovery now, I tried to do a wipe to install a new or stock ROM, at first it said the wipe was succesful, so I tried installing the ROM, but during the install I kept getting:
E: Error mounting /data
It did say the installation was succesful, but after I rebooted it kept trying to wipe eventhough I did not ask for this.
Got another mount error and said Wipe Failed.
Now when I try to sideload stock ROM I get errors like:
Formatting Cache
Formatting /sd-exxt
E: Uknown volume for path /sd-ex
(I also don't know why it's doing that since this phone has no SD card) I got the Falcon edition with the internal storage. Also when my computer recognizes my phone and I want to open the phone folder, there is no longer an Internal Storage folder.
Anyways after those errors it says Data Wipe Complete, Wiping System, Now flash new ROM
But nothing flashes properly it seems due to the mounting error. I've looked for solution, but I can only seem to find threads that involve Samsung
and when I find a solution video it has something to do with either taking your battery out of your phone (which you can't do with this phone) or something
with your SD card (which this phone doesn't have).
So yeah, I'm running out of ideas here and any help would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers.

The phone has a virtual SD card.
I had a similar issue. Try flashing TWRP recovery and go to wipe > format data (THIS WILL DELETE ALL DATA) then reboot recovery. Worth a shot if you're not able to use your phone. You can copy over SD card contents to a computer first via TWRP by mounting MTP, or use USB OTG..

How to lagfix when speedMod deleates CWM? this or other fix for Internal SD card prob

I tried upgrading my old phone,a S1 i9000 to cm10 which resulted in a bunch of errors. I than tried to flash back to stock, however i was still getting:
E:failed to mount /sdcard (File exists)
E:copy_dbdata_media:Can't mount /sdcard
your storage not prepared yet. please use UI menu
for format and reboot actions.
Meida files copy failed.
system unable to Format /data...Internal SD card cannot be mounted and such.
I first tried flashing dbdata.rfs, didn't help
Then i tried doing this http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...8#post30415128 (Flash a JVU+Root with a 512 Pit (repartition ticked) ...)
I also tried flashing just pit with rep,and then JVU, ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=817186 )
Then i found this- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31017954&postcount=5335
And tried to flash a speedmod kernel (fixed JVU kernel) in order to get the "universal lag fix menu" on cwm. However after i flash it i don't have cwm anymore.
I've been working on this for hours...please help.. What do i do?
EDIT: Flahsed very old version stock jp something, got same message on recovery but then booted.. into...cm10 . I just got the boot and then black screen.
