Can I intall the kernel of AOKP in Cyanogenmod 10.1?How and where I can download it?If I install an update of Cyanogenmod 10.1 will the kerne change with the Cyanogenmod kernel?

I'm not sure if you can install AOKP kernel on top of cm10.1 but I would say no. It will reinstall cm10.1 stock kernel when you update.

AOKP kernel does work with CM 10.1 very well. It is available at xxxx://androtransfer.com/?developer=cmenard&folder=Kernels
(replace xxxx with http - forum rules)
But: It is advisable before updating CM to return OC settings to default values - after update of CM the kernel must be reinstalled.

A few people are saying the same thing in CM9 thread. One guy says he fixed it by reflashing the Gapps package. Other guy says it didn't work for him.

From Eclair to KitKat, what a long journey it has been. Thanks Quarx!
well, well, well---- Thanks God that i have a "new" Defy with me,, ready to flash this wonder!
Thanks Quarx to help me to bring back to defy charm!
Works great. Very stable. No reboots so far.
What seems to work:
-HWA
-phone & data
-adb
-sound
-screen rotation
What doesn't work yet:
-wifi (won't turn on)
-camera (can't connect)
Haven't tested bluetooth or GPS yet. First impressions are that it runs a tiny bit smoother.
Looking at this thread ., makes me miss my Defy.. I should not have moved on from the masterpiece..
I m having Atrix HD , but no signs of kitkat, nor a vry stable 4.3 ., Though my mom uses my Defy., i feel like using it for few days .,
And Quarx is always the among the first to bring the android build., sometimes even before the Nexus !!!!
Quarx your grand master for our moto defy to born a new life
I tested this ROM. It works, but not very well. The LED is still green after boot, WiFi doesn't work, camera doesn't work at all.
EDIT: Here are some Gapps http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23212708291674581

Thnx

Take a look at Quarx's GitHub. There you will find the source, I think he updated the CM branches now so it should compile.
@Quarx
Will you keep the AOSP branches? I'd really appreciate a clean and stable AOSP rom for our Defy!

I did exactly what u said, and it works. but my phone keep rebooting!!! what's the problem??!!
First, the AOSP rom is not just by albertop97, he have done most of work, but by the J-Team. Is like to say tha cm 11 are from paul l. or Rox and that's not from Team Canjica.
The oc kernel you have linked is not from cocafe, but from albertop97 and so from J-Team.

I think its oC kernel problem with some specific built roms .I used this method on cm11 by maclaw 6/1/14 built and it worked while some other users says oc kernel not working on mc11 but there builts are different I.e they are using 21/1 built again aosp ROM also unstable on oC kernel ROM gets reboots every time.
now I am using this method on beanstalk ROM and voila it worked again oc kernel working correctly no reboot at all I think u should give this try on beanstalk ROM by iidax

ya I can use all governors without reboot but Io schelduler goes back to cfq as default scheduler
performance is some what lower than mc 11 as this result clearly shown by benchmark I.e for beanstalk quadrant is 4000 while for mc 11 4200

I'm with the same dilema that OP and have been checking the topics of each Custom ROM and users are complaining...
- CM12.1 dh.harald: bad battery life and memory freezes forcing reboot
- Resurrection Remix: random reboots
- Mokee: random reboots
So my question is, there is no stable custom ROM for Mi4i?

unfortunately I am only at the beginning, I'm learning slowly how to create rom from source code, for the moment I do not know to create kernels with overcloclock or similar. I'm only 15 years old, and this is the second ROM in total which I compile

See PACMan builds with overkill kernel by niropa. Just search in that thread and you'll find many ROMs like CarbonKK or PA, which are made to work on LP bootloader
Will this work on msim variant also? I read you mentioned xt1032 but still if you know..
It might work, but has been tested only on xt1032 aka falcon.
tested on XT1033, very stable ROM, smooth ROM ever :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

Yes, I have used Overkill kernel that @Niropa has used in his Pac-man rom build, with the hope of fix the screen flickering, but the problem remain. This is aniway a good and stable kernel. For more information see: https://github.com/ReaperXL2/Overkill_V4_extended/tree/cm-11.0

But are kernel sources updated? Or using it cause some incompatility such as hotspot, bt or something else?
All work fine, bluetooth and hotspot work. I have tested it, the only warnings are 3:
-Do not active kernel samepage merging, you will have problem in camera
-install gapps only after the first reboot of the rom
-If you use whatsapp install it before switching to ART (in developer setting, for better performance select ART)
There aren't particular bugs
