[Q] Can't bootup samung galaxy s

Hello everybody,
after I deleted some file/maps from my root sd I could not startup my samsung galaxy s anymore. It stops while displaying the samsung logo. I think there is no (working) booting system available anymore.
- I can start the recovery mode (2e).
- I can start the download mode.
In the recovery mode I can only use update.zip. This is no option because I can not enter the root to put an update.zip file there. Is there a way to get update.zip to the root (internal sd) or is there a firmware which support an external micro-sd card. Or maybe there is a program which can recover my galaxy s. A this moment it looks like my phone is broken.
Is there anyone who know a solution for this problem?

Hi Martijn,
I'm assuming you're using a stock firmware (nothing fancy like DocRom, Darky, etc.)
Since you can enter download mode you could use Odin and try to flash a firmware.
If you can remember what firmware you currently are using my guess would be you might actually keep your data.
Try samfirmware.com, register en download the right one. There are a lot of flash-guides you might want to read before you begin.

i root my nexus s and now he dosent starting up
i have only google logo and the lock picture at the bottom
i have clockwork installed.
how can i load a new rom from this situtation?
where can i get a img file in order to use fastboot?

turn phone off.. hold volume up + power then go down to recovery.
1. nandroid restore
2. flash a ROM

i dont have a nandroid, i have a clockwork.
please guide me what to do cuz all this android thing is new to me and i can't use the phone right now

go to the development forum and download a nandroid and put it on your phone by mounting it via USB
or download a ROM and flash. (wipe dalvik,cache,factory first)

how can i copy it via usb? the phone dosent start up
the only solution is SDK?

i try to copy files into the device using adb push
it seems like it was copied but i cant see any new files there

no.. when you flash clockwork recovery and boot into it.. go into Mounts and Storage and on the bottom "mount USB"... it'll mount like if your phone is on, just copy paste it in there

ok i got it! i manage to install cm7 now and it's working but i didnt manage to backup my stock version.
1.is it possible to go back to stock rom without a backup?
2.i first try to change rom cuz of the known freezing problem, any of you nexus users know any thing new about it?

[Q] Help: No software installed and can't boot

Hi guys
It has been a long time since my phone has been this bad.
So last night I go to charge my phone because I had ZERO battery. So I turned it on and then plugged it in. The phone booted fine but then I noticed that the screen was not shutting off. I even tried hitting the "Go to sleep" button from the pull down menu and nothing happened. I also realized the phone was not loading my calendar. When I went into the file manager it didn't show SDCARD 1 or 2.
I decided to clear the memory (dalvik + cache) = SAME PROBLEM
I did a factory restore = same problem
Finally I cleared the system = now i have no OPERATING SYSTEM ON THE PHONE
I went to the external sd card and tried to install the latest version of OMNI....IT SAYS IT CANT READ FROM THE SD CARD.
I also tried to copy the file from external sd to internal sd card and it says FAILED
I don't' know what to do...
I am using Team Win Recovery Project 2.6.3.0
I have the latest omni rom on my external sd card. I can see it but install fails.
Please help :crying:

Calm down dear. Same happened with me. I formatted /system and find that I don't have any operating system in my mobile.
Just pluggin your mobile in recovery mode to your PC. transfer the file-> Flash the ROM-> Gapps -> BINGO..
BTW, wrong area for creating a thread.

Don't worry. Do what D™ said.
Alternatively you can use "adb sideload" method. I used it once with Philz recovery. In sideload method, you won't need to copy the file in Sdcard. File existing on pc can be directly flashed. This would help if you still face problems copying file to Sdcard. Search it on google. You will find steps for it.

Ok I am a bit calmer knowing I didn't brick my phone or anything...
But when I connect my phone to my computer I know it is connected (I see GTi9103 in device manager with an "!" ) but I cant transfer files.
Could someone provide a link to the adb method or maybe give a bit more advice on this problem..

It must installed drivers.. If u cant access the storage, just flash ics via odin and further known actions.

Thanks dude! I will give it a try and post a response! It was just so strange that I couldn't see any of the drives (sdcard 1 or 2) in filemanager. I guess something must have got corrupted? Right now I am trying to push from adb method mentioned from Nikhil.

Download Stock Indian ICS
Btw, adb sideload method is as follows.
0. Install adb for windows (assuming you have windows). (There shouldn't be any driver missing)
1. Enter into sideload mode in recovery
2. Open cmd in computer with the directory in which zip file is kept. (shift + right click -> open command prompt here would do)
3. Enter adb sideload xyz.zip
Thats it.
I've tried it with TWRP recovery in my friend's phone. It didnt work. But When I tried with Philz recovery, It worked well.
Anyway, if you are finding it complicated, flash stock ics.
Edit : Did you try "mount usb storage" in recovery? because it is required to do. else computer won't recognize your device.

Also can you recommend any good versions of ICS? It is really quite a bit faster than omni...

Omni is best until now.
you can't flash omni via odin. Flash Philz or TWRP first and then flash omni.
Lv5 ZCLPD is best ICS Rom. But I would choose Omni over Lv5,

I need help with my Htc K-touch U9

Hello good day,
I have read alot of tutorial but have found none that will help me. I saw a malware installed on my device which was eating up my ram and internet data. I tried to uninstall it most of the times but it keeps on installing itself anytime i enable my data or wifi. I later found out that there was this new files in my phone system storage, that wont allow me to delete it even if am root. i tried to change the permission and still cant . I tried to move all the files in that folder to a different folder leaving the suspicious ones. after moving the ones i know was not a malware to a different folder. my device froze and i couldn't do anything but to restart the device. i did so and that was it. My device always get stuck on the htc logo anytime that i turn it on. Please i really need help on how i can fix this issue and get my phone back to its normal state. I think is not booting because i move all files including the systemUi to a different folder.. the folder was located at (system/app) I created a new folder called appa in the same directory. thinking if i move all the legimate apps to the new folder. i will be able to delete the whole app folder which i left the malwares in. so i can rename the folder i created back to app. But after the moving was successful. my phone froze and thats it.. I need help( [email protected] ) thank you

unless you have some sort of backup, or can find the stock software to put back on, you will not be able to fix it.

next time before doing such a activity like this you should make a nandroid backup and store it to a safe storage that you can restore.....

I have no experience flashing HTC devices, but the process is usually the same, just the files used change.
There should be some program common for HTC devices to flash.
I would look on some more popular HTC device and see if you can find a guide, and just substitute your firmware instead of theirs.

Is there any way i can push files to my phone via adb. as it wont boot and get stuck on the htc logo. I mean i tried to copy the rom on my sd card so i can flash the phone with it. but my sd card does not show on recovery mode. rather my internal storage does. is there a way i can push file to it via adb./

There is but I don't know the proper commands. I think it's something like adb push (push location) (file name)
You may be able to move the file with pc while in twrp by Normal means. I can do it on my phone like that. Internal shows up on pc just like it does when it's booted.

Thank you. But i have one problem here. I have download java and android sdk manager. but when i connect my phone. it doesnt get detected when i use the command < adb devices >. could it be that usb debugging is not enable? If so then how can i enable it as the boot wont boot but get stuck always on the htc logo

USB debug is not needed for flashing. If your pic don't see the device in download mode, you will have to look around for some proper drivers. I don't know if adb works in download mode, so there may not be an issue. You need to get the proper flash tool and see if that can connect to your device. Trying to connect with anything else is a waste of time.

follow the advice that i gave before ^^^
there is no "best flashing tool" for these situations. there is usually 1 or 2 options of software provided by the manufacturer. one of these you must use, because there is no options, such as tools made by the community.
i have never owned a htc device, so you are going to have to do some searching and reading to help yourself out, unless someone else comes along who can provide specific help.

How to root samsung galaxy a8(sm-a8000) chinese and install google playstore

Hello guys!
Today i am going to show you how to root samsung galaxy A8(mentioned above) install twrp and then lastly install playstore on it without any troubles!
The problems i faced was so much critical and step by step i faced bugs and fixed them accordingly.
so we come to main topic now.
first of all reset your phone. thats because a frash phone is always perfect. btw non resetted phone also works here.
1) Now download the app in the link below called CROM_Service. open it and just wait it will unlock your bootloader.
2) Now u need drivers. download them also in the link and install on your windows 10 pc. Boot your phone in download mode by pressing home+volume down+power button. in chinese font screen press volume up and then connect you phone with pc using a fairly working usb 2.0 cable.
3) Now download CF_ROOT in the link below and and put in your worling folder better name that folder your phone name cause we always work in this folder. extract files in there. Now open Odin in that foler as admin and click AP and load the md5 file in same folder. and click start. this will flash root and restart device with a modified kernal.

Hello, I'm not sure whether this is the right place for my problem but I will give it a try. I have a problem with TWRP recovery on sm-a8000 Chinese version.
Every time I try to flash any zips it fails.
Error 70 failed to mount preload (invalid argument ) I can't do factory reset either in . I'm able to root the phone and the phone works normally except for the custom recovery.
I tried to do factory reset in original recovery and it worked.
My aim is to install Google play apps.
Here are some pictures of the recovery result. My internal memory is only 3Mb in the recovery but if I connect the phone to my computer it shows 10Gb free.
Any idea what's going on?

hey,did you hv any rom of that model (sm-A8000)?
