[Q] SD Unmounted on Data2SD - Asus Transformer TF700

Hi, I'm using CROMI 3.2.2 ODEX, w/ that-kernel-10.4.4.25-2-oc-data2sd and I have the problem that I can't select any music in my *real* internal memory (sdcardi) using any music player. Yes, if I select it via file manager, it will play it, but any program is able to select a folder in sdcardi as parent folder. Is this normal? PowerAMP said that "Some storage is unmounted".
Thanks for your advices!

[Q] Rom Manager and Astro lists internal memory as SDcard please help

I just rooted my moto xoom 4g and when I install rom manager and go to install rom from sdcard, it lists my internal memory as my sdcard and vice versa. When I install astro file management I get the same thing. I also booted into recovery and I select install from sdcard, I get the same thing. When I flash Tiamat recovery it works just fine and sees the sdcard as the sdcard. Please someone help.
This is normal! Like with EOS 4g nightly my internal storage is called sdcard when you look via path /mmt/. you look via path /media/ it is called internal.
Through /mmt/ my sd card is named external1
Through /media/ my SD card is named sdcard.
I do not know of any way to change. Pretty sure it is set by the rom you are using
Not sure about ROM Manager but Astro can be changed in the settings/preferences.
Looks for the "path" settings and change "external_sd" to "external1"
Cheers.

[Q] Default Download folder to External SD Card?

I thought about moving browser to SD via TiBu? Really want the browser to download stuff to the External SD like I can have the Camera default to save to SD.
I just tried moving TiBu itself to SD, and may also try moving apex launcher, because the default backup locations are on the internal SD card, which I usually wipe between rom flashes, so I would love to have these default to my external sd. This is probably the answer but anyone who knows and can confirm would be great.
Titanium Backup allows you to choose the location of the backup folder.
If it is currently on the internal storage the simplest way to get it on your external SD is to use a file explorer to move (or copy) the folder from internal storage to the external sd. Then open TB and tap
menu key->Preferences
scroll down to Backup Folder Location and tap that.
Now tap detect and select whole device from the pop up that appears. TB will find your folder (where you moved/copied it). If you moved the folder TB will find only one and if you copied it TB will find both and you can select the one that is on the external SD.
From the same place in TB's settings you can browse to and select (or create) a folder of your choosing for your backups.
For your browser try opening the browser and then go to the browser settings, Advanced, Default storage and select memory card. I am running the third ICS leak and this works for the native browser.
BTW - it is always a good idea to navigate through all of an apps settings to get familiar with the options available.
I am running aosp Browser and the option doesn't exist. And I did do the option in tibu to change backup location, but again defaults after a fresh rom install which is just annoying. There is no option to change location from apex launcher either.

[Q] Strange MP3 file issue..

I am running Clean ROM, I just downloaded a mixtape in .zip format and extracted the music to my music folder on the external SD card. They showed up in my music player but when I try to play them it gives me an error saying that it can't play this type of file type...however, if I navigate to the files with a file manager(root explorer) and select any of the said music files, they open and play in the music player... wtf?!?!

Flixster

I'm hoping someone else has encountered this problem and found a workaround...
I've downloaded Flixster, logged in and accessed my collection of films/tv series. When I got to download them it gives an option of download to phone or download to SD card. I selected SD card but it then says that this is not supported on my device. According to Flixster's website, all Android devices on 4.3 and above should have this facility working. Is there anything I can do to get them on my SD card?
Unless you have it installed as a system app it will not be able to write to SD card.
This is a KK feature where only system apps can write to sd card
Choose internal memory then copy it over using a system explorer, or do it via a card reader in your PC or root and apply the write to SD card fix

Download it to the phone, then transfer it to your PC via the USB cable, then to the SDcard using the USB cable

By transfer "it" do you mean the app and then transfer the app to my SD card via USB? Or do you mean the movie and then transfer that to my SD card via USB?
You have the app installed, it needs to be on the phone.
Download the movie to internal memory and then move that about.

You'll have to excuse me for being a noob, can't quite figure out how this works. I plugged my phone into my laptop, went into internal storage and cut the files from the phone and then put then pasted them onto the SD card. However, now when I go into Flixster it doesn't recognise them as being on the device and although they are listed in the Movies app, it can't play the files.
Can anyone help on this? My 16Gb internal storage is running really low, could really do with getting the Flixster files on my SD card if possible

Though I am not familiar with this Flixter thing, but ones you have downloaded and saved your movie in your SDCARD, why are you sticking to Flixter to play it? You can use your device's movie player or any other 3rd party software that supports the format to play the movie.

They are digital codes for DVDs/Blu Rays I have purchased and have to be redeemed via Flixster. Once redeemed you have the option of streaming it via wi-fi or downloading it to the device. If you download to the device it stays within the Flixster app (they ar enot playable by other media players even though they are mp4 files - guessing they must have some sort of Flixster encoding or DRM). There is an option on Flixster to download them to SD card but it won't let me do it on the Xperia as it doesn't have permission to write to the SD card.
When I connected my phone to my laptop, I found the files within the internal storage and manually pasted them into the SD card but after doing so, Flixster no longer recognised them as being on the device and other players were still unable to play the files.

I am sure you have already checked the settings in Flixster application, to see if it gives option to read & play contents from SDCARD?
There is some application to convert users apps to system apps. Not sure if even after converting this can be moved to SD or not.

Yeah unfortunately not, just an option where to download to and when you select SD card and then download, the Xperia won't let me.
Would I have to be rooted in order to convert to system apps?
I'm on a Xperia Z3 Tablet and hit the same problem. I've found a way around this which works. The thing you have to bear in mind using this is you cannot download to the SD card directly.
Close Flixster
Using File Commander (or similar) on the device, copy Android>data>net.flixster.android to the same location on the SD card.
Note: Using Windows or similar doesn't give you the same rights to create/modify some of the folders
Start Flixster and change the storage location to the SD card.
Restart Flixtser. You will now see the location under the devices saying On SD Card.
I remove the ones from the internal storage once satisfied.
When downloading a new addition, change the location back to Internal Storage, let it download and then move that across and obviously change the storage location afterwards.
It works for me well on a 32gb card and saves precious internal storage space.

fix can't find music files in apollo player from external SD card in cynogen mod ROM.

What the problem was:
I have X-plor app installed which by default provide access to root folders
on your device. As a result your phone must be showing 3 partitions which is root partition
sdcard0 (internal memory first partation) Phone memory sdcard1 ( internal memory which
provide storage to application) this is the only location from where you can see you music listed in Apollo. Your SD card as extcard0 which is why you can't detect your music as this is listed as removable device as a result it won't read your music files.
This is what solved my problem:
I went to X-plor configuration from where it says ROOT ACCESS choose DISABLED
this will hide the root partition and now just clear your media storage cache from all application in settings. now reboot your phone and install SDfixtools and open and scan now. This will make all your music list in Apollo and other music players.
hope this helps press thanks if it helps
