Hi.I`m from Romania and when i select romanian language the "Ț" character in some app (whatsapp for example) is replaced with space.The same problem i have on all roms,stock or custom..How can i fix this?Thanks.

Does anybody know how to change UI language in Google Latitude?
Mine reads regional settings and gives me whole UI in local language, and I prefer it in english.
But there is no way to change the language.
It is so annoying that I am on the verge to uninstall Google Latitude because of that.

Google will per default direct you to your local language. I think it is possible to "trick" it to get you an English version
Just look around at the download page, should be a "change language" option for the download.

I have downloaded Google Latitude using my computer with all english settings.
Also, I tried to change regional settings on the phone, and if the settings US, then the program 'speaks' english. When I change it back to other country, it changes UI language to that country.
I was asking if there are hidden settings (some registry tweaks, maybe) to keep Google Maps (Latitude) using english for UI.
Delete the language files that are in the GoogleMaps folder.
I had the same problem so before installation of GoogleMaps I changed the regional settings to English. After installation I deleted the language files (only kept "gmm_launcher.dll", "gmm_setup.dll" and "GoogleMaps.exe".) and changed the regional settings to my native. GoogleMaps stayed English

Which one is the language file?
Hi, I know this should be under another section, but I got no privileges to post anywhere in the develoment sections.
So, my problem is : I don't really know how android os organizing it's fonts, and how it finds the right one for he right language, but I strongly need multiple language support (namely some arabic-variants scripts : urdu, pashto, farsi) and some asian ones (thai, lao, chinese)
arabic and farsi support is no problem (well .. almost) with my spike cyanogen rom, thai and chinese neither. I've got a pashto softkeyboard, as well as an urdu one, and even a lao one, got fonts that cover those scripts as well, now : where should I put those fonts ? I see on my /system/fonts DroidSansThai, DroidSansArabic etc .. so I suppose (noob inside ..) the file names are relevant, problem is pushing a font with for examle DroidSansUrdu doesn't solve anything.
or shoud I get arial unicode as huge as it is as the DroidSans font ? (bothers me a bit as I'd like to be able to use more beautiful fonts).
another question, related, is : on my farsi keyboard I can add the vocalization (short vowels), but not not on the arabic one ??? anyone has a clue about that ?

Hi, I live in UK and have bought g2x from USA. I installed Weapon 2.8.
When I dial the number for example 07876543210 it shows like that 078-765-43210 also when receiving a call it shows 078-765-43210.
All my numbers are in first format (07876543210). Is there a way to change the dialing and receiving to first format?

Well then. I don't know if you can download it. I know CM7 has that option, that's what I checked before posting earlier.
Have you checked both languages (UK) and (US) how they display the incoming and outgoing calls?
I've sorted out the problem without changing the rom. I installed the application MoreLocale 2 and change the language to English (UK).

Well is there any way to change the language in dialer cause my contacts are not in english and cant search them with keypad ,even I change system language to my language in dialer under the numbers is english ? I know I can go manually to people and search,but it is slow process ... Running ViperS 1.3.0

my device language is english and i want to change it into hebrew (which is right-to-left language) using "More locale".
however this moves all the menues to the left and also changes the android buttons (back etc.) locations..
any idea??
