Just wanting to get a few opinions from users who have there sprint nexus s 4G on pageplus. Has anyone gotten it to work 100% Witt 3G and without the reception issues I read about? Where I live, I can only get verizon coverage of seems so I need decent signal. Does it work smoothly? If anyone has there's on pageplus, share your experience please.

hey everybody. if this question is in the wrong place, mods/admins please move to correct thread section.
i am i need of phones that will work on the Rogers hspa 3g network in canada. i right now have a tmobile hd2 running android 2.3 and i got my wife a tmobile mytouch 3g running android 2.2. but from the information i found we will not get the 3g band because the phones 3g frequencies are wrong. can anybody help me confirm that? we right now use them but they are only on the 2g band and our reception is pretty terrible right now. if that is the case can anybody tell me if at&t phones operate 3g on the right frequency for rogers? thanks allot.
im specifically wanting to know if the Samsung Captivate S will work on rogers 3g. thanks!(but if somebody can tell me if most at&t 3g phones will work on rogers that would be greatly appreciated. thanks!)
chk Nexus S
Check out Nexus S ...might be available soon in canada for rogers
yeah the nexus s looks nice, but i still need to know if at&t and rogers operate on the same 3g band. because the tmobile phones we have do not work on the rogers 3g.....
I have a rooted samsung Fascinate. I want to know if there is any app or anything that I can do to get it to recieve 4g from verizion. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I only ask because my town has 4g, but I only ever have 1-2 bars of 3g data service at any time. So if anybody knows if I can get 4g, or any way to get a better 3g signal.
Addt info: It is not any problem with my phone, most people in my town have terrible verizon 3g ever since they added 4g
nope its a radio and internal drivers thing.
No, Verizon 4G or LTE requires completely different hardware for the radio inside. The reason your service is suffering from the advent of 4G is due to Verizon converting existing 3G sites to 4G.
When this is done, 3G signal will depricate as there will be less 3G radios serving your zone.

I recently just migrated to ST from T-Mobile because I had very low network speeds at home with T-Mobile. Im all setup with the service and am getting "expected" speeds around 5-8mbps down in my area and other towns.
I did purchase the ATT LTE Compatible SIM.
Now here comes the confusion...
Does Straight Talk provide lte speeds in LTE coverage areas for ATT? I've been in areas that should have LTE coverage from ATT but my ST speed was nothing close.
Im running CleanROM ACE 5.0 (awesome) and don't have an option to change my network mode now to lte/gsm/wcdma... Although I don't think it might matter from what ive been reading in other forums.
I really just want to know if its ST not having lte or my phones modem/apn configuration the problem?
I feel like a leech asking a paragraph question and not completely browsing other threads. Even though the other threads dont seem to have a concise answer to this.
I would greatly appreciate even a simple link to a specific post that will clarify this issue.

Buddy of mine has an N1 with 3G coverage and Tmobile. he has terrible service with Tmobile even with the Tmobile booster. The booster says it has great signal but its not transferring to the Nexus 1.
He really wants the Nexus 5, the coverage maps show Strong signal for 4g coverage in that area and we were wondering if by chance that the Nexus 5 on t mobile's 4g network would actually benefit from a stronger signal overall and with the booster?
hoping someone in that area can give some positive feedback on the service with the nexus 5.
Thanks in advance!

Read somewhere than theres a Sprint band (2600somethinghz) that can't broadcast within 100km of Canada? Anyone on Sprint or Ting or some other MVNO near Canada using an N5? I'm in the Detroit area and get really strange 3G drops and suffer a general lack of data connection at random times. Is it just the "switching" issue I've read about with sprint upgrading the area? I previously had an HTC One on the sprint network that had no issues while running a stock based (sense) rom but had these same issues while running CM/AOSP/GE roms...
I don't know wtf is going on...
In case anyone read my insane ramblings... it turns out Ting did't activate my phone properly and left off the sim... sure explains tons of issues. LTE since yesterday... Sucky LTE... but LTE
