I just got this Galaxy note and it had ice cream sandwich. I turned on the pen hover icon. Updated to Jelly bean and now that option is gone in the settings. I like having the pen icon on all the time. Is there a way to restore it in JB?
Quick search yielded no relevant results.

I know there is an option to use ICS of Jelly Bean search bar. I thought the difference between these two was the ICS said "Google" and the Jelly Bean said "G". No matter which option I choose it displays "Google". Am I doing something wrong or do I need to change a setting?
Also on another subject I don't really like the new update to Apex, it kinda screwed with the icon size in the app drawer. Is there a way to change that as well?
Thanks!
I get the G when I do it. I do agree with icons in the drawer.

So after changing to TWA_PRIV's Jelly Bean ROM from ICS I see "G" in landscape mode but I still get "Google" in vertical mode. Is this normal?

I just installed RaymanFX's JB CM10 port and I am very happy with it. However, there are still a few things that I don't know about Jelly Bean. Maybe somebody can teach me
How do I remove all notifications at once from the status bar? On ICS I clicked a small "x" and all notifications disappeared.
How do I get the little dots back that indicate on which home screen I am? I tried the setting "settings -> Launcher -> Homescreen -> Show page indicator" but it doesn't show.
I might add to this list as I familiarize myself with that amazing ROM.
Thanks all

At the top right of the notification pop-up you'll see three slanted bars. Click that to remove all notifications.
Yeah, the slanted lines act as a clear notifications.
As for the home screen indicators, I'm not sure if the stock launcher has that ability. You might have to install another launcher. Lately, I've been liking Nova, it's really customizable.

Thanks! I just noticed the bars... Maybe they are supposed to symbolize all the notifications being swiped away???
For the homescreen indicators you can use any other launcher... Beeing using nova launcher and no problems so far...

Settings/Lock screen/Lock screen options
If "Lock screen options" is greyed out, then you have a PIN or pattern enabled, which disables the lock screen options.
is there an app that will let you choose which apps can send you notifications in the status bar? My nexus 4 is rooted on jelly bean 4.2.1 and 4.2.2 just came out. I don't want to lose my root but the notification for the system update won't leave my status bar. Is there a way to block sticky notifications?
Thanks
Since Android 4.1 is possible to do this by going to settings, applications. Find the application you want to quit notifications and uncheck "Show notifications".
Hullo,
I apologize if this question has previously been addressed, but I wasn't able to find this stubborn icon's meaning anywhere.
I'm dying of curiosity and also want to make it go away.
I'm referring to the icon to the left of the wifi symbol.
What is it, please?
Thanks!
I think it is the accessibility feature in Jelly Bean, which reads out settings and menus, etc. for disabled people. You should be able to disable it in Settings > Accessibility.

Thanks, but nothing in Settings > Accessibility is enabled other than Auto-rotate screen
FWIW while my sense version is 4.1, my Android is only 4.0.4 ICS

Wait, you were indeed on the right track. I had apparently inadvertently enabled HAC for hearing aids.
Well played and thanks.
