Hummingbird vs snapdragon s4 play - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi, is the hummingbird proccesor on the nexus s better than the snapdragon s4 play?
the hummingbird proccesor has 1ghz single core cortex a8 cpu powervr sgx540 gpu and the snapdragon s4 play has 1ghz dual core cortex a5 cpu and adreno 203 gpu. so, which of the two is better???

The S4 is better in every aspect...except maybe the name

Hmm no the hummingbird is better in pretty much everything except CPU cores. The CPU architecture of the S4 play is vastly inferior and so is the GPU.

Well...here's what to expect from Samsung Nexus 10 and/or newer devices. :)

I came across this today...

Looks like a winner to me!
In comparison to iphone 5 which also uses A15 cores and a triple core powervr gpu
http://www.glbenchmark.com/phonedetails.jsp?D=Apple+iPhone+5&benchmark=glpro25
and the Lg Optimus G which has kinda like A15 architecture plus an adreno 320 gpu,
http://www.glbenchmark.com/phonedetails.jsp?D=LG+E970&benchmark=glpro25,
the samsung dev board with the dual A15 [email protected] and the all new Mali-T604 gpu beats both of them holding the highest score so far!
Way to go sammy!
EDIT:
Full dev board specs here:

Iphone 5 uses a custom design, not a15. A15 is superior.

iPhone 5 uses a custom A6 I do believe.

Apple is ARM licenced to use the A15 design and that's what apple did.
I dont know if A6 custom cpu is faster or slower than an ARM A15 designed...

Best Processor?

Which of these processors has a better performance?
Which one do you think can render a powerful, better, faster and stronger performance?
Suggest if there is any other!
I don't know but the prozessor of the new HTC One should be the best .
HTC ONE comes with Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 600 1.7 GHz quad core processor :good:
Yeah lets see what others have to say!

Exynos octacore Sansung vs htc one snapdragon 600

I know that samsung galaxy S4 has octacore processor ...and it is octacore processor...and snapdragon 600 is also in the market..
I just want to know which device should I prefer octacore or snapdragon 600..
Further I have heard a lot of things about the cheap build quality of Samsung and heating effect of exynos processors and it is closed source so not devloper friendly
So please explain in detail which one should I go for samsung octacore processor devices or should I go for snapdragon 600

Snapdragon 600 are better than exynos octa core processors cause exynos processor gets very hot, my friend has Galaxy S2 which gets hot very quickly after some time of use but there is no problem with snapdragon 600 processors and they also are power efficient and the difference between the performance of the both processors is negligible.
And what about exynos being closed source

It's open source now!

exynos is open source now
Exynos getting hot, I've played with 3 different flavors of the Note2 and they never got running at the stock clock speed.
Since there are no released phones with the Eynos Octa processor it's hard to say. From what I heard it uses 4 cores specificly for low load states and then jumps to the other 4 cores for high load states. It never really uses all 8 cores at once. So I don't think the Octa core is going to be a huge performer over the Snapdragon 600. In the US, we will probably not see the Octa processor for sometime, Samsung is going with Qualcom for the US.

But when s4 was not released... There were rumors over tge net that samsung will be releasing s4 in s600 processor beacuse of heating effects of exynos processor..
But finally the came with both...
If it was only a15 quadcore then it will be huge battery sucker and heat producer...
During gaming or heavy usage.. Since it ll be using a15 cores...so it will be going to produce huge amount of heat...

Is there a possibility that they maybe redisigning the A15 in the near future for more efficiency? Thats maybe one of the reasons that they didn't put it in the S4 on release date, or am i wrong on this?
Lets see...time will tell us which one is better

[Q] Nexus 5 cores

Does this phone have two quad core processors? the snapdragon 800 and the krait 400? what does that mean?
Snapdragon 800 is the name of the package, Krait 400 is the design of the cores.
Four Krait 400 cores make up a Snapdragon 800.
What he said ( beat me to the reply)
