Sounds like you're missing drivers or not in fastboot usb screen in bootloader.
Sent from my One X using xda app-developers app

It says fastboot USB...guess I'll try and reload the drivers.....sidenote...TWRP is on my phone but it won't let me flash a Rom....I'm so confused
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app

Also aren't I supposed to have "SuperSU" because I don't...and now my screen looks like this in bootloader mode
*TAMPERED*
*UNLOCKED*
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app

Do some reading

I've read and read and read I actually just flashed the recovery via fastboot and everything went ok I guess but I still don't have supersu and there is no option for twrp when I turn the phone on in BL mode but when I select the.recovery option the twrp pulls up....weird.....but it won't let me.flash anything..
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app

Well of course there will be no option for trwp in bootloader it's stock ..what do you mean twrp won't let you flash anything what Rom are you even trying to flash

Jelly bam
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app

And I thought I was supposed to have superSU
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app

Nope how would you just think where would root come from....at this point you flash root or a rom a will give you root access
---------- Post added at 03:55 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:55 PM ----------
What do you by it won't flash

I think you are quite confused. This often happens when one does not read enough and gets excited a starts doing stuff.
How things work:
First off. Super su is an application the exists on a rom that is rooted.
With the one x, you are not actually rooting the ROM that is on the phone. You are just unlocking the bootloader which allows you to flash a custom recover which allows you to flash roms that are already rooted. Once you flash a rom that is rooted you will have a root management utility be it super su or an equivalent.
Make sense?

Can't get custom recovery

Hello I used super one click to get root.
I installed Root Explorer.
I know I have root because I get:

Then I type su and get

But when I try to open root explorer it doesn't prompt me su permissions.
Also ROM Manager won't flash recovery either.
Can anyone point me in the right direction

I ran Super One Click and did the test again and still the same results.
I can get to su in adb but still can use any app that requires root or flash CWM Recovery.
I am going to try the video method u sent me.
I will post results.
Hopefully I can install the Maximus Ginger ROM.

ROMs wont install
Ok so now I have ran my SK4G through odin 5 times...Going on 6...
Root and Recovery work perfectly with that method...
But everytime I install a ROM I get stuck at the boot screen with my sidekick vibrating and restarting....
Everywhere I read it talks about the Mounts... Yes I know they are very important...
So I make sure they are what they are supposed to be when flashing the ROM...
But once the ROMs install it reboots automatically and I cant change the mounts...
I have tried both Smooth Maximus and Maximus Ginger, Lightning ROM, and Clean Fusion...
The same thing happens to me after I install any of these ROMs....
It always reboots after the installation...
Has anyone ran into this issue or can help me figure out what to do now...
Thanks Guys

After you use the All in One download ROM Manager.
Then Flash the SK4G Recovery through there.
For some reason you have to reboot into CWM recovery only by using ROM Manager.
If you reboot manually or through adb you are going to have to choose install packages then CWM Recovery will load.
I am still stuck with no custom ROM...
every rom that I install soft bricks my device and then I have to use odin to restore.
Does anyone know of a ROM that I can flash through odin that is nice like Smooth Maximus or Similar?
Thanks

No bootloader!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You could try to restore a nandroid backup if you have one...
Difficult thing.. You could try to push boot.img and recovery.img again.. but that wouldnt be possible without bootloader.. quite a problem this is mate..
Install stock rom again ??

Try this bro.. Connect your phone through ADB, and then in the terminal, type "adb reboot-bootloader".. Or "adb reboot bootloader"..

Or you could just try to reverse the steps that caused this problem..
stock ruu is having everything you can install that and unlock bootloader again.

You mean you fixed it? Care to explain how, in case someone else ever comes up against this? (I'm sure it's unlikely, but I'm kinda curious about it)
How did u know u has noooo boot loader
I think it was present but not booting
Is it me or everyone here is throwing the term UART around so loosely? Let me tell you something, UART is useless for most of us, so repeating it over and over isn't going to make you look better. It's only useful if you have the correct tools. On the other hand, I guess it shouldn't be too hard to get the serial emulation over usb if you got the right hardware and software. But heck half of us won't even dare to take apart our phones.
@ShadowCode,
If your bootloader was gone then you would've a bricked device.

Tester for Flash GUI app

Now that we have root for the 2.20 firmware of the One X one of the downfalls is having to flash a boot.img everytime we flash a rom. I know we can flashboot the boot.img but most of us are not always near a computer.
I emailed the developer for the app Flash GUI and asked if our ONE X will be added. He replied almost immediately and will add the ONE X but he needs testers familiar with adb.
I am not very good with adb so I am asking if someone with better skills then I to contact him and help get this going please. His name is Joey and he will be following this thread.

Does htc allow flashing system.img on BL unlocked devices from fastboot? If so, seems it would make sense to just do it all from there. GUI flasher could parse CWM standard zips and do it all from fastboot with no need to 2-step.

App has been updated in play store and I used it to flash rohan kernel #4 on cm 10. For those new to this don't forget to extract the boot.img and put on the root of the sdcard.
This app works awesome, just flashed viper 2.1 and everything is good. Although it didn't reboot into recovery like it said it would so I had to do it manually

nope. use fastboot to flash recovery. nexus s hacks has links to everything you need. (USB & fastboot drivers, recovery img files, and su zip files)
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
replace the recovery.img with the actual filename of your recovery IMG file, then place the su zip on the root of your SD card & flash through recovery. I use cwm, but there are others available.

When your phone is powered of completely, hold the power and volume down keys at the same time. This will then bring up a white screen with a load of text. Look at the top and if it says 'S-off' then I assume you've unlocked the boot loader. If it says 'S-on' I assume not. But this isn't always the case.
Try it anyway and if this helps please leave a thank you

That is just for HTC devices.
Just reboot your phone and if the first samsung logo when booting up disappears quickly then you have an unlocked biitloader.

The simplest way to tell is if you reboot your device and if the first splash screen that appears flashes "Samsung" really quick, then you are unlocked. If you are not unlocked it will stay up for a second or two.

What version of ez unlock are you using? Make sure you use version 1.2. The later versions don't work.
Actually they do work as I used 1.4 and the only thing is that it says unknown. Also once it gives you the prompt saying the phone is unlocked you flash a custom recovery to see if you have successfully unlocked the bootloader.

You probably flashed an incompatible kernel. Basically if you flash a kernel meant for ICS it won't work on jelly bean and vice versa.

It has been widely known/reported that 1.4/1.3 are non-functional. I think you are the first person I've seen to claim otherwise. Maybe it works for some? All I know is that 1.4 did not work for me I had to revert to 1.2, and this is the same for everyone else in the ez unlock thread on Rootz.

I'm assuming you downloaded ez-unlock from the market? That's version 1.4, which has been widely reported as non-functional. Uninstall the current app then download version 1.2 from this thread and install it:
