Fosmon Anti-Glare Screen Protector - Nexus 4 Accessories

Hi, thought I would share with everyone the Fosmon Anti-Glare Screen Protector for the Nexus 4. Of course, this also doubles up as anti-finger print protector, which was the main reason why I bought it
Onto the photos...

As with all anti-glare screen protectors, the clarity of the screen is definitely degraded, however, I feel that this is a worth trade-off since it eliminates all traces of finger prints (plus, unlike generic eBay protectors, it does a good job in reducing as little clarity as possible). I also prefer the smoothness of this protector over the 'clear' protectors that have a more rubbery feel to them.
I should also point out that this protector does not cover the Nexus 4 from edge to edge, although it provides a perfect fit of the flat area on the screen. You will also notice that it covers the proximity sensor however I can confirm that it does not interfere with it. I have had the protector on for about a week now and have not once experienced any issues during my calls. I also installed an app called Proximity Sensor Finder which shows everything working fine
And that's it! I definitely recommend this to those looking for anti-glare/finger print protectors. It's priced at £3.99 or $3.49 depending on where you live but its definitely worth paying the bit extra as these are much better than cheap ones you find on eBay. Also, they include x3 protectors in each pack in case you mess up the installation, however, it was so easy to install so I doubt this will happen.
I won't post the link to the product, but its easy enough to Google
PS. Sorry about the quality of the photos, it was taken on an iPhone 4

Thanks bud! Going to order soon

Sure is. It's a very smooth texture feeling...my finger glides over the screen with ease. As much I like the naked glass look, it doesn't match the smooth feeling of this protector.

I have a similar protector and it covers the proximity sensor like yours, so when you make a call or receive one the screen stays off lol...

I can say with certainty that I do not have this problem. I had no problems with calls, and a proximity sensor app from Google Play shows it working fine as well

[REVIEW] Halo Premium Anti-Glare/Matte Screen Protector

Promised to do a review on this screen protector, so paulo this one's for you. Haha. Well I've had this screen protector on for about 4 weeks now, and I absolutely love it. I would definitely recommend it, especially for those on a budget. A $5.95 well spent.
Pros:
Dry application
Precise cut outs
Great touch responsiveness (Swyping with this bad boy is a breeze.)
No fingerprints
No smudges
Better visibility in sunlight
Looks sexy lol
Cons:
Took me 2 out of the 3 protectors to get it on right, or without bubbles. Maybe I'm just not good at that.
Screen quality degradation (This is expected with a anti-glare/matte screen protector. There is some pixelation, which is really noticeable on white backgrounds.)
You can but it HERE.
Pictures that took me forever.

Thanks for the review. I already ordered mine and just wanted to check out some more images of it. Out of curiosity, what case are you using? Also is there a notice gap between the protector and the lip of the case? The first few images make it seem like it, but the rest make the gap appear small.

I'm guessing you are taking about the difference between this picture of the screen protector:
vs
Well there are two reasons.
1. I didn't apply the screen protector perfectly. You can also see the little bubbles created by dust left on the screen. So I took it off, and tried again.
2. Two different cases. I doubt this affects it, however, considering I switch the cases out per week and the gap between the screen protector and the case doesn't increase or shrink.
I have two cases. The white one the Mercury TPU Nexus 4 case(comes in many different colors), and the black one is the Acase Superleggera Pro Hybrid dual layer Nexus 4 case(also comes in different assortments).
I'm also using this screen protector and I love it too, great price ya can't go wrong with these. ????

I bought this screen protector 3 months ago but never used it, as it looks like a hassle to apply if it takes going through most of them to get one that is applied properly. I just kept the stock plastic protector on mine; maybe after that gets destroyed I will give it a try.

its pretty simple just be quick, and i would day do it in the restroom, less dust in the air. always works for me.
I've installed countless screen protectors for me and friends. For the wet ones, you definitely want to be in a steamy bathroom as that helps settle the dusts. The dry ones, need to be done quickly. You can slip a small piece of tape between the screen and the screen protector to grab some of the dust. The stickiness of the tape beats the static force created by the protector. Not sure of its technical name.
My silliest method was to put the phone in the middle, on top of a fan blowing air upwards. That way it created a space where dust will not be. It worked perfectly.

Man. That sucks. Well honestly if you wanted to. I could buy one and then post it up onto eBay and you could buy it off of me for the same price. Just the shipping cost would be different since you're international. Not trying to advertise or anything just suggesting.

i`m surprised that there is no bubbling at the edges at the price the Halo is selling... or is it not caught on the picture?

I mean, I guess there is. But to notice the bubbling you would have to nitpicking or looking in with a magnifying glass (not really). I'd say the bubbling on the side is about .25 cm from the edge. Really slight, and with my case on you can't notice it.

Return to Amazon - I have same issues as others. Arent we going to have this issue with ANY screen protector? If it is smaller, you will distinctly feel the "drop off".
Little different
Just got the clear ones in today. Mine aren't what Amazon shows but they differ from the ones you received as well. There are cutouts for the bottom sensors and a centered cutout at the top. It's also smaller than the screen to avoid the curved edges. They actually sent me an email after ordering it explaining why it's smaller than the phone.

I was just looking at these from Amazon, I usually go straight otterbox for my phones and I've found the screen protectors that come with it are adequate so I've never shopped around for other screen protectors. I just got this bumper/case in: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00N3VHD6C
It fits quite snug and I'm wondering how it will sit with a tempered glass cover.

Thanks for the photos. From your third photo, it looks like the screen protector covers 1mm over the left edge of the actual screen. Is this similar on the right side?
I actually have their HD Clear on mine right now and it's great.
That may be my fitment, i layed it twice... but it looks like if it would of been .30mm wider it would of been tits. Or maybe if i shifted over .15mm i would of been good. But this looks good enough for the girls i date

Right now, there are three types of glass out there.
1) Flat glass cut to the size of the screen. Since the edges of the screen are rounded, the edges of the glass don't adhere. This produces what people call a "halo" effect, because the part of the glass not sticking will appear white, creating a white ring around the outside of your screen.
2) Flat glass cut to fit only on the flat part of the screen. It stops before it reaches the curvature of the screen, and therefore doesn't extend to the edges. In my opinion, it looks bad, I'd be constantly scraping my finger along the edge, and it's not even protecting my entire front of my phone, so what's the point?
3) Curved glass cut to fit the entire front of the phone, edge-to-edge. There aren't many of these out there and reviews are really just trickling in. I started a thread for discussion of them, but no content as of yet. I'm hoping that the glass makers will wise up and go this way.
So 2.5d means it should cover the whole screen edge to edge? Haven't managed to find any like this yet

2.5d means that the edge of the screen protector has a curve to it. This makes the glass screen protector less prone to nicks and cracking.

I just got mine. Put it on and took it back off. Only the edges have adhesive. The clear center part for the screen doesn't touch the screen so it makes the screen look dull or hazy. The good thing about this is that the edges are solid color so you don't see any halo if there are any. It's flat so I'm sure the halo is there but you just can't see it. I put my old tempered screen back.
Also wanted to point out, I bought the edge to edge glass version.

No, Im sorry I dont have any pictures, and I have sent over 20 emails to Tech Armor about the issues, and I keep getting the same question about my Amazon order numbers, then an appology then no reply for 6-7 days with the same question being asked. Very bad support from them.

What Screen Protectors Are You Using?

Saw the Tempered Glass thread but wanted to see what other screen protectors you guys are using? I've been looking for a full edge to edge screen protector that feels hard for my new Edge+ I got last night! Never was a fan of the soft, orange peel, vinyl-like feel if you guys know what I mean. Ordered ArmorSuit and TechFilm off Amazon to test them out! Will post back when I get those in tomorrow.
I got this from Amazon UK. I'd tried Zagg but that was horrid, all mottled and bumpy. Didn't hold out much hope for these, but they are perfect. Clear smooth and so easy to apply. Dry install so a 100% clean screen is necessary.

So I had the Tech Film screen protector on for a few days and really liked it. Good clarity and pretty simple to install. Couldn't even tell it was there. Installed the Armorsuit screen protector last night and I don't think I'll be having this one on too long. Pretty good clarity but has a slight haze to it. Maybe it needs to dry more? Easier to install because it's wet application and more forgiving to mistakes. But definitely more of a vinyl like feel to it and is thicker than the Techfilm protector. Both did not lift with my Spigen case on.
