Sweet!
Shifted from planet Namek

Re: [ROM][JB]XPERIAnce Zen
This looks really great. Nice work again man!

I really need to check into Flashaholics Anonymous because if this is better than JellyBelly, I may seriously just use the Shift as my daily phone.
Looks great!

Re: [ROM][JB]XPERIAnce Zen
Are you putting this out for the EVO too?

This ROM is running great! I actually think it is a little bit faster than JellyBelly Omega...seriously. The Menu button not working on the homescreens is a little annoying, but as mentioned in OP, you can just add Settings like an app or widget.
Would the regular dtapps2sd zip file work for flashing and adding A2SD capability?
Great work...again!

It didn't like that at all. It went into bootloop, so I had to do a Nandroid recovery. ymmv

Weird

Maybe I'll try again...sober this time.
EDIT: Still no go. Should I try formatting the sd-ext? Also, does sd-card need to be mounted in Mounts and Formats? That's not mentioned in the JBOmega instructions, but I thought I would ask.
EDIT2: I formatted sd-ext in the process this time, but it still didn't work. Upon reboot, it just sits on the white HTC screen forever...had to do a battery pull.

That's weird because in theory this is based off omega. Maybe its the a2sd being used I seen he asked about the regular dta2sd so maybe try the one you posted in omega thread.
I would test it out but my shifty died and is getting ready for its new home with chadthepathfinder. I hope he can Frankenstein a speedy out of it so he can come back here since he hates the OG lol.

I will also be sending my wife's Shift his way as soon as I can... with three Shifts he should be able to get a working one. And yeah I don't see why it wouldn't work with a2sd I just have no time for testing much of anything since I am supporting three devices now.

Re: [ROM][JB]XPERIAnce Zen
I appreciate the shifts for parts guys. Between them, parts from my toaster and my son's sonic screwdriver I should be able to fix it up great.

[ROM][UCLB3] PharmNerd's ROM v1.0 - Stock Themed

Anxiously anticipated by no one, I present the creatively-named PharmNerd's ROM.
SCREENSHOTS HERE (SPOILER: It's Stock Themed!)
The Goal: Dump the bloat, add a tiny bit of functionality, but still retain all of the useful stock features & appearance. Since not everyone wants to be stuck with the apps that I find useful, they're all uninstallable.
About the only things here that aren't included in other ROMs are Google's Car Home & Desk Clock (so you aren't stuck using the awful Samsung Car/Desk Home apps). Also, the stock battery indicator shows yellow or red to indicate low battery.

Theme is pure, unadulterated stock (plus Dman's EPM mod). Aside from the non-stock kernel, there are only some relatively tame build.prop tweaks included, to avoid introducing any new bugs outside of what the stock ROM includes.
Since I don't plan to do big system-level tweaks in this ROM, I expect that any future updates will be available in CWM-flashable patch form (so you don't have to set everything up again from scratch).
CREDITS: bedwa (Infusion kernel), bigfau (for video fix), dman3285 (for UCLB3 base and EPM mod), MaliciousIntent69 (for helping me iron out some of the kinks), qkster (moral support)
INSTALLATION:
Copy ZIP file to your phone's internal SD. Make backups of any app's data you want to preserve. Internal & External SD card contents won't be deleted; everything else will.
Boot Into Red CWM (Completely power off your phone, hold volume up + volume down, then hold the power button & release power button when the Samsung logo appears. Continue holding Vol Up/Down until you see the CWM menu).
Once In CWM...
Wipe Data/Factory Reset
Wipe Cache
Advanced --> Wipe Dalvik Cache
Mounts & Storage --> Format System, Format Data, Format Cache
Flash ZIP file to your phone
Advanced --> Wipe Dalvik Cache again, and Fix Permissions (maybe not necessary...just in case)
BUGS:
HDMI-out does not work. Fix: Use SGS Kernel Flasher to flash Entropy's latest test kernel (as of 4/15 this will cause you to lose desk dock functionality).
FEATURES:
UCLB3 Base [Rooted, Deodexed, Busybox, Zipaligned]
Infusion-GB Core A2 kernel
Dman's EPM Mod for Infuse
TWEAKS / FIXES:
Screen stays on when plugged into desk dock [WHEN DESK CLOCK APP OPEN]
build.prop tweaks (proximity sensor timer, force launcher into memory, 100% JPG quality, render UI w/GPU, Touch/scroll responsiveness, Photo/video quality, wifi scan interval increased from 15 to 30 sec)
Video playback works (thanks bigfau)
ADDED (All in /data/app, allowing easy uninstall):
FasterFix v1.6.1
Galaxy Dock Sound Redirector v1.8 (for dock audio with Google car/desk apps)
Google Car Home 2.2.1.4
Google Desk Clock v2.0.2 (modded to run in /data/app, renamed from "Clock" to "Desk Clock")
Google Talk 1.3 Installer
SGS Kernel Flasher v1.6.2
Swype Installer v2.0
Titanium Backup v4.9.0.2
REMOVED:
Allshare, AT&T Code Scanner, AT&T Family Map, AT&T Navigator, AT&T Uverse TV, Buddies Now, Days, Dual Clock, Facebook, Google Books, Mini Diary, Media Hub, My AT&T, Samsung Social Widget, Swype (so you can install the latest beta), Tethering Manager, wssync*.apk / WlanTest.apk (AT&T OTA Updates), Yellow Pages

My goal here was to keep everything looking as stock as possible.
But, the more I dug into the APKs, the more stuff I found that could be tinkered with. I can totally see why most of "almost stock" ROMs have the "almost" part. It's so hard to resist changing stuff up.

Well, crap. Looks like that tweak didn't work. Guess that'll be a 1.1 feature.
I think I need to use something other than APKMultiTool to recompile apks after xml changes.
EDIT: Hmm.. It does stay on when the Desk Clock app is open. Not sure if the XML change I made in framework-res.apk had any bearing on that. (?)

This.
Hasn't been updated in ages, but whenever I try a different launcher, I always come back to Launcher Pro. Mostly because I like how I can map a second app to each dock icon that opens when I swipe up from the icon (some other launchers have this, but the implementation always seems a little glitchy).
Looks good. Good job on dropping a new release

Interesting... The only issue I've had with it is the camera. The latest update (BR3) broke it to where it displays clearly, but when you take the picture, the colors get all messed up to where it looks like my camera is on an Acid Trip

My making. It won't be official until we get the ICS kernel sometime this month.
Love the rom a lot. But honestly using the other right now because of the themes. I love the Xperia theme. Can't with you have themes for this rom.
I'll add quite a few themes on the next release
as this (cm9) is pretty much THE rom i'm holding out for, can i ask if go sms pro and apollo music apps (and a few others) are "standard" for cm9 or added personally?
so far i'm digging it. LOTS of options (easy to find too) for lock screen!!!
Flashing this right now. That was a different way of doing it never seen that before the whole selecting stuff like if it was an install wizard before.

Is this script working on this aokp rom : 40ad2sdx ?
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda premium
Is this Rom compiled from AOKP source?
However, I think you are a 'real' dev, not like many other new 'devs' here.
And could you write down some bugs like camcorder to avoid a lot of issue reports

nope it isnt its just a port from the incredible 2....problem is i dont understand compiling from sourcodes yet...so maybe later on..
Ahaha I cant compile too!
But such important things like the Rom base should be in the 1st post.
First I thought it is compiled from source, then I thought the Rom base is Sandvolds Rom ... now I know the truth
Good luck with your projekt!

i like sanvolds i used it for a while but im a personal fan of aokp..
Very good ROM. It feels faster than the other ICS ROMs available.
But it has some issues. Touchscreen issues. Desire uses a mediocre touchpanel and some tweaks are needed to work perfectly.
Both the S3 launcher and the browser have erratic touchscreen.
Also ... easy to implement in the next version. Trackpad 2 Awake. MUST for Desire.
That's all. Besides that it feels good. AOKP is always a good choice!
Thank you for this rom, it feels nice. Doesn't have any sort of space scripts like app 2 sd or something does it? I tried to install 2msd and move apps and dalvik, i'll see how it goes.
so far so good, i'm a fan of apex so I kinda left apart the new launcher, sorry about that i'll let you know if i find anything bad.
thanks again,
Trackpad 2 Awake. MUST for Desire.

I'd say, tp2wake \ tp2wake&unlock, to be more precise.
Some people prefer to have only wake, though I never understood them - the chances of accidentally pressing the trackpad are precisely zero, and double-pressing it to wake&unlock is a great usability enhancement.
I never understood the trackpad2wake popularity, just swipe the god damn screen to unlock?
Yeah, it is very smooth and fast... only problem is with memory....
m2sd is not working, s2e also...
It would be nice to implement KSM also...
cheers
Great to see new people here. I can give you some hints on how to build from source later on GTalk, or I might just go ahead and release M6 myself.
@all AOKP people: I gave away my Desire. It's been a great time, especially after most noobs (no offence meant) switched to newer devices, but supporting qsd8k in upstream has really become a huge pain, the summer holidays are now over and I have two great projects ahead. For all those reasons, I don't think I'll be able to support the Desire on JB and beyond. I hope you all understand. You're awesome, all of you. Thank you. And see you all on the 2012 Xperia scene

Didn't you hear me ? I said it's great
Well I've been kinda working on an update and wanted some feedback... I was thinking add the LG and MotoBlur launchers and add the Sense 4 theme and switch up some other things and make it a true all in one ICS ROM?
