Hey, I was wondering if there was any way to get the interactive/expanded notifications for Gingerbread like they have in Jellybean, aside from a ROM if possible. Or at the least, widgets for the notification bar similar to the ones in iOS. Thanks!
I think only ROMs do that..........AOSP ROMs

kingklick will probably have a port out sometime. he's usually the "first" to have ports.
I askd king if he would make a port on twitter nd this wuh he said "@ohhflint different cpu architecture. would take some time"

hope that port comes.... cause i love the simplicity but veryy good looking setup... its what they say.. not to much..and not to little.... but the status bar is on some other ish... so official.. but only thing is that im on froyo... please dont make me step back to 2.1 to get these options..
TouchWiz has already been ported to the Nexus and doesn't even require root.
Did you read what he wrote in the first post?
The notifcation bar (with controls) and Touchwiz with apps and widgets. A ROM.

would take some time = 'waiting for someone else to do it'
Hi everybody. I'm running CM6 on my milestone. So far I've been very pleased with it. Yet, I really like the MIUI lockscreen, which beautifully gives you direct access to phone and messaging. Can someone port that lockscreen to CM? Or is there anyway I can have something like that, except from using widgetlocker, which is kind of ugly to me? Thanks a lot

If you're using CM, there's an option to have that. just go to CM settings, then input settings. Check the option for phone and messaging under 'lockscreen settings'. Just don't use rotary as your locksreen style.
what I mean is the whole gorgeous look of it

anybody?

I asked this a while back, and some folks told me that the miui lockscreen was built into the miui framework and therefore unable to be ported to other roms.
That's most likely still the case. You should just install miui, its a great rom.

Or You Can Just Use Gestures
Which In My Opinion Is Better
And I Really Love MIUI
When using GB I loved CM7 for the notification widgets. I could change the settings without leaving applications on the front.
I love the stock ICS I'm currently using, but I miss those notification widgets. I see there are some roms with this feature, but not customizable yet. And they don't have Edge control which I need badly.
Any idea which rom has worked this out?
J know the cm9s have it an some aosp have it integrated
Yes. Use the search feature.

Its called wigetsoid which can be found on the market. It allows for the widget to be placed on the status bar in the advanced menu.
However, if you're running CM9 they already have it done and can be configured with different buttons.
If you really like them so much you can use MIUI v4. Works perfectly in it.
BTW I also think that its about time someone gets customizable notification widgets in his rom. We have geniuses for devs for crying out loud..
Thank you. I'm very flattered that you think I'm a genius!!

I'm running a CM9 kang at the moment, and really liked this feature in CM7. However, can someone please point me to the control for customizing the notification set in CM9. In my noodness i haven't been able to find it in CM9.
Is there someway to get the ICS Rom Control dropdown weather on any Gingerbread rom? Or is there an app that does this? I know technically this question can go to apps section also but didn't want to do two threads. That'd be annoying.
I liked using ICS but I'm jumping back to Gingerbread just because for my G2x it's more stable. Yes wiping everything every time before flashing a new rom.
Check out Wetherbug in the Market Play Store. It has a similar style to ROM Control's weather.

So I was thinking Ill just go back to using cyanogenmod 4.1. My problem is, though, I adore that nifty "hold home key down on lock screen for 3 seconds" for the torch on MIUI. My question to you is, can I have the lightness of cyanogenmod stock jb with the awesomeness of the torch? If so, where can I get it? Thanks in advance.
First off its miui
And why not just add a status bar toggle for torch? You can pull down the status bar while on the lock screen and enable the torch
I'm also a fan of the feature but I haven't seen it in another aosp ROM

I thought it would be great to be able to do the torch thing like it does. It's neat. And I wouldn't know how to make a toggle for torch anyway.

You'd just enable it in notification bar. Simple
