best method to turn the volume up?? i'm missing calls left and right! thanks.
I'm running stock ROM with netnarchy cfs kernel
Voodoo control. But you gotta run the netarchy kernal to use the free app. The paid one says you dont have to run a custom kernal that support voodoo, but i dont know if that works on the nexus 4g

That doesn't turn the volume up.
It only affects headphones.

You could try volume+ (sound boost) on the market. I haven't used it myself so can't confirm if it will work on the NS.

volume + is decent enough to not miss calls frequently. it could be better though. I'm majorly disappointed with the volume issuer
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using XDA App
I thought it did. It has option that seems like it would. Since installing it it seems like its louder Anabolic haven't messed with the volume and its other set on halfway on my device.

I think they may have kept it down on the Nexus S 4G because I read countless complaints of people blowing their speaker out on the Epic. Some even opening the phone and replacing the speaker themselves.
Has anyone else noticed that the volume levels on everything in the phone do not go very loud at full volume? I'm hoping there will be a fix for it soon. Has anyone found an Android Market App that helps or fixes that problem on the Sensation?
My normal player is poweramp. But I found playerpro to give me the loudest sound on the sensation. So it's what I been using

I was thinking more of phone call and speakerphone volumes, but the the built in audio and video players have equally low volume levels. Sad when you can barely hear it in a quiet room.
My ringtones and notifications are pretty loud but when I use speaker phone its far too low to be useful.

Nope, just tried it. It sets the volume to overload levels, and the volume rocker cannot lower it at all.
Reporting back on a somewhat different volume issue. Turns out that when I have wifi calling on, volume is really low when talking on speakerphone.
be careful on that 'hearing aids' setting. I have blown a speaker on a previous device (I think it was an Aria) when I had that setting and used the speakerphone. Doesnt mean it will happen here but just an FYI

I doubt it unless he jacked his phone using qpst. You do have to be carefull.
I'll have to give this a try when I get home and get a chance to read up on the op from the evo thread.

Volume+ worked for me. You just have to be careful and not set it to loud.
I've got all the software setup and drivers installed. The QPST could see my phone but it kept giving me an error when I click to connect to my phone. O well guess I'll live with the low volume of this phone till another method is found.

not sure if we can even do this as i cannot get my tbolt into DIAG mode.... anybody know what the code is to do this?

Did you play with the max volume any? It does seem louder but it could be a placebo effect.

Does ICS have any adjustments to the volume of the speaker phone or headset volume? The Sensation has always had weak volume.

I had the same problem to, tried all things nothing helped, then someone told me about an app called volume+ must be rooted to work the best.....

I got the paid app after I tried it out, more settings.
Not sure I want to root my phone yet. I know its easy to do. Just kind of waiting of ics to see if it makes it better. Wondering if anyone with ics already has seen a change.

Hi, I intalled Equalizer EQ from the market, set in the sittings "automatic" and increased the equalizer. That improved the volume a lot.

You don't have to root with volume +, just to use the in call settings you must have root.... you can use either of the two apps which work fine....
I've searched and tried several apps to link ringer and notification. I love TouchWiz, but this is the ONE thing that pushes me to a CM ROM. I don't want to have to open an app each time i want to change both options. I came from an Optimus V and a Thunderbolt after. Both were able to link Ringer/Notification volumes.
So, does anybody know if a "fix" has been round or at least a workaround?
Nobody even has a suggestion? i know somebody here has got to know something :fingers-crossed:

Apps allow linking the two but only if you change the volume from within the app. If you use the volume rocker the two stay unlinked. I'm looking for a way to permanently link the two to allow use of the volume rocker.
