Anyone has this problem with the Zagg screen protector? There are several tiny little small fibers on the glue side. Although I have tried with water, soap, they are still there!!!

Hi
I bought a tempered glass screen protector from delightable24 I noticed there is a little bit of dust under the protector can dust scratch the display of the note 4?
Another question in the picture you can see a place on the display which looks like air under the protector but I can't get it out it moves around when I touch it but does not get out.
And lastly I looked in amazon for this but could not find anything is the protector I bought washable?
that's not dust. it could be air. Try to lift the the screen protector from the nearest corner until you reach the air bubble, then reapply the protector again. Do not remove the whole protector...
If it is dust, then while lifting the protector, use the sticker that came with it. Just a slight touch so the dust will adhere to it, then reapply protector.

Already tried that but it reappears again. Could it be a defect protector ?
If you have tried the above then yes.
Has anyone been able to apply a tempered glass screen protector and use the included bumper? Tried with mine but the bumper seems to push up on the screen protector from the edges..
I have a tempered glass protector on mine with the bumper without any issues, but the glass protector had terrible halo effect. Almost all do because this has a slightly curved screen like the Nexus 6 and manufacturers didn't account for it. Probably going to be a couple weeks before they start to release ones that don't lift up in the corners..
Same with me, terrible halo effect on left and right edges. (For those who don't know what this mean, it just means that the screen doesn't fit flush to the screen due to the curvature of the phone, and appears as if a giant bubble stretches around the whole screen protector's edges as if it looks like the screen protector is surrounded by a halo)

thats exactly what i was getting, but when i removed the bumper, the screen protector was good. Now im just worried about walking around with absolutely no protection from drops. first tempered glass screen protector and im loving it, but i think the only other alternative is a regular oleophobic protector
The skinomi glass protector actually fits very well with the bumper. I was initially annoyed about it being too small (width is just the size of the actual display, so it requires some precision/multiple attempts to align it right, best done with the bumper on). However there is no haloing on the sides, just some on the ears around the speakers, mostly the bottom, and the bumper doesn't interfere with it.
I just applied an IQ Shield screen protector to a Note 7. These have to be glue/wet application protectors because of the edges. But one corner didn't really take. So put a tiny drop of 3M Scotch superglue there. That didn't take either. The glue stuck to the screen protector but not to the glass. So I'm thinking about cleaning the glue with some acetone and using another adhesive to reattach the corner. Except I have no idea which adhesive to use.
Does anyone have any suggestion? Or does anyone know how to fix a peeling corner of a screen protector?
Thanks.
I see this one on Amazon from Mocolo and it looks like it does? But its shipped from China...
Most of the glass screen protectors leave about 1-2mm of space from the screen to the edge but it's due to the rounded edges on the screen. Another issue that has been ongoing is that the glass screen protectors are not sitting well and there is a "Halo" effect around the edges of the screen on the screen protector.
So far the Skinomi, Phantom Skins style screen protectors sit the best but some have had minor issues with cases.
I just ordered the Mocolo screen protectors yesterday and I'm hoping they don't give the Halo effect.

"Halo effect" means not cut short enough.

Sort of, the halo effect can be related to the screen protector not being cut short enough (or too long) where the screen bevel begins and the adhesive does not adhere to the outside edges of the screen protector.
And/Or
The adhesive does not adhere to the outside edges of the screen protector causing an unsightly "halo effect" where there is a unsightly discoloration/visual issue.
It is easy enough to see on the multiple threads and or can be Google searched for more pictures or a better idea of what it looks like.

will be interested in how that Mocolo works out
Check out "Brotect" protectors. They do tempered glass, "air glass" and normal plastic ones, all clipped short of the curve and therefore case friendly.
Used one if their protectors on a previous phone and seemed fine. I have the airglass one for the ph-1 here but not fitted it yet
Skinomi just released one. I have their full coverage one and it is fantastic.
Update: forget about the Mocolo TGSP, it's cut too short on the sides. So much so I didn't even bother putting it on. I'm sure there won't be a Halo but it leaves about .5mm on either side when I did a test fit.
I've now purchased the lightning knight, Orzero 3rd gen (I think, this is the one with full adhesive but rounded black border, and Mocolo TGSP. Fitment wise the lightning knight (LK) fits the best but has Halo. The Orzero is wider than the LK but from what I've seen in the reviews the Halo is horrible. I'd also assume that it would be bad as the Orzero goes to where the screen starts to round at the edge, also it might be an issue with cases.
You can see the Mocolo on Amazon and the fitment issues in the purchaser gallery.
I have the mocolo in clear (not black) and unfortunately halo effect is pretty bad, just like the rest. Quite ugly so ripped it off and currently going without anything.
I gave up.
I'm going to use the approach of others with a liquid UV adhesive and a screen protector with no glue.
I've bought a few from Xtreme guard and they fit perfectly with any case!! Plus you can get em dirt cheap by searching for promo codes. Got mine for .99 each!!!
This suggestion might not be a solution for everyone but life is a series of compromises I guess. I've bought half a dozen glass screen protectors(all the ones available on amazon) and several phone cases as I was unwilling to go without a full glass protector on my phone so this is the solution i came up with. Confirmed repeatable, I'm preforming this on my 3rd PH-1(pictures) while i write this. (don't worry, its not because they broke!)
So basically:
Orzero 9H glass screen protector + Poetic Guardian Case
https://www.amazon.com/Orzero-Essential-Tempered-Protector-Replacement/dp/B077XT5V7Z/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1539386003&sr=8-1&keywords=essential+orzero
https://www.amazon.com/Essential-Poetic-Resistant-Protection-Full-Body/dp/B078T3N1S7/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1539386315&sr=8-1&keywords=essential+poetic
The glass protector itself is the best of all the glass protectors i've tried so far but it still has its shortcomings. The glue is applied to the black thin line around the border which is ok on the bottom but the top is too thin. Once installed it "floats" around up top near the camera. NOTE: Eventually the glass gets the spotted rainbow effect in the glass center. Not noticeable once the screens on but some i know would like to know this before hand. Slick glass feel tho, no more finger printy then the factory glass. With a hard press you can move it around and recenter it but im sure eventually it will fall off left alone.
That is where the case comes in. The case is two piece, the bumper that is raised around the screen(inner case), overlaps and has a plastic cheapy protector glued in place.
Clean and apply the glass protector. Clean the edges of the glass protector and ensure its centered. Take the inner case and remove the cheap plastic protector that it comes with. LEAVE THE GLUE on the inner case. Install the inner case over the phone ensuring the protector is centered once again before pressing down around the edges firmly. Install remaining outer case rubber.
You now have an Essential phone WITH A GLASS SCREEN PROTECTOR!! The case is IMO not the prettiest but feels great, easy to grab and grip, cutouts and port covers all work properly, buttons are still clicky. My wife even likes it more then her retired iPhone, and that's saying something
Remember to press against the glass protector at the bottom mainly, if you need to remove the inner case so it does not lift.
Hope this helps those PH-1 owners who wish to enjoy the security of a glass screen protectors. :highfive:
Poetic's glass screen protector also works with the Tudia Glost case. I think that was posted in the cases thread some time ago. That's the combination I'm using now. So far the Poetic screen protector has stayed on very well. It has the same rainbow issue when the screen is off, but like you said, you can't see it when the screen is on.
Ya, i avoided that case since lots of reviews about the back cracking upon dropping it. Haven't seen the peotic brand glass protectors either but im sure this works with any protector and case with similar designs
