Hey,
I want to build JB for Xperia J but I can't find device tree for it.
Does anyone have it or knows where I can find it?
or it's possible to make it on my own? if yes, please show me the way
Please be understanding and help if you can
Here is the device folder: https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_device_sony_jlo
you can just sync the CyanogenMod jellybean sources, run 'brunch jlo' and it will download the required extra sources and build.
There's a TON of info how to get your machine set up and how to get the sources etc for CM10, so I'll keep this brief. Good luck!
Thanks
Doesn it mean that CM supports Jlo? why then FXP has so many bugs with jlo?
How that works?

Hello,
I recently downloaded the official AOSP source code into my machine and I want to compile it for my GT-I9300,
but before that where do I get the device blobs and properitary drivers from? Can I use CM's device tree? Are there any other device trees?
And in an addition to that how do I get the Kernel to work properly? Do I need to use the CM kernel?
A hint / tip or a link to a guide would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
I can suggest you to go to xda university
I'm sure that you will find all you need for cooking your own build
Good luck

I would like to start with building my ROM from scratch. I have read a lot of tutorials and they're all the same: sync everything and then make otapackage or etc. The problem is: it is everything already preconfigured, you have just to build.
So my question is: can I use latest Sony kernel sources or M2Dev KitKat sources to build CM12 or AOSP Lollipop (generally to build higher version of Android)? Or maybe I would have to write it from scratch? I expect to get at least bootable ROM.
I can't tell that I'm going to start a real development, I just want to learn how stuff works.

This is source code for AOSP ("pure android"). That what Sony released is device source folders for E3, M2... and proprietary precompiled binaries. That's needed, so compiled AOSP will run on the device. Devs can set up their own device folder, but Sony did it for them first. The source might be incoplete or buggy, so devs have to fix it.

Thanks now i undersand what is aosp.
So I am a newbie in android development. I do root phones and play around with the system but I never cooked any rom yet. Now I am desperate to build cm12 for my pico. I have set up everything as per Galaxyfreak's guide.
Now I am confused with what should I take as sources? Should I use Kirmaniarslan's sources or wait for cm to officially release?
If I take Kirmaniarslan's sources,in the init repo command what should I link to? Local manifesto, device tree or something else?
Any guide would be helpful! Thanks
