Hi, it's my first time rooting android and after a while I think I'm gonna have to ask. I have an Xperia S (LT26i), yesterday I managed to unlock the bootloader but I have no idea about how to start rooting it. I did however try the Bin4ry's root exploit but it just "runs forever", is there any way you could help me with this? (like, suitable for noobs you know..) Thanks!

Next time try searching or at least browsing through your device's section.
Everything you could possibly need to know is covered in this excellent tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1568792

It's all quite easy, theres a few things you can try:
- Bin4ry's root method (might still work on current Xperia E and E Dual firmwares)
- UnlockRoot tool
or
- Flashing the "insecure kernel" and root using DoomLord's rooting method. This last method will Definitely void your warranty as you need to unlock your bootloader for this.
I'm pretty sure atleast one of the first two options will work.
Although, I don't own a Xperia E or E Dual.

Either one of the first 2 will probably work. + they're fairly safe. You won't brick your phone if you follow the instructions correctly.
I do not recommend to use the 3rd method.
If those 2 do not work, have patience, like I said in your other thread, it's quite a new phone.
Development will come. Don't worry about that!
EDIT: UnlockRoot tool (2nd method) confirmed to work with Xperia E Dual:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40285064&postcount=72
So, use that one, it's safe and it works
Bro I searched n found that bin4ry method doesn't unlock bootloader and warranty is applicable..I am gonna study about both n do something ASAP .I'm fed up with internal memory prob n bloatware.....
Thank you so much( I mean it)........:thumbup:

Those apps you install on your phone to root like Universal Androot stopped working for devices 2.3 and above, also they contain malware so beware
The safest way to root is unlock bootloader, get recovery, flash superuser...
thank me if I helped you...Don't say it,hit the button...
hey, please help me out with rooting of xperia neo v. i got no idea about any of these stuff. all i know is my boot loader is not unlocked, and i dont even know what that is! thanks in advance. do reply asap.
If you don't know what ROOT means, you better stay out of that!!! And why you unlocked your bootloader?

Did you try or just checked the list?
I'll look what i can find ....the problem isn't to find a guide to root but to find a guide in a normal language :banghead:

It's not a way hard if your device rooting guude not mentioned.
First off all you need to understand what is rooting.
2. You should add su binaries and su app.
To grant permissions.
But only possible via recovery or you can push via Adb.

Of course I tried it before posting my answer. Thank you for your help.
Thank you all for your help. I forgot to mention that, I think, I'm aware of rooting prossess because i succesfully rooted my sony live in the past and I'm a linux user. But, zte kis has no "documantation" as sony live had and I don't know whether it's safe to proceed with rooting. What is your opinion.
you could try this, Unlock Root
