hello
I have just got my galaxy tab2 10.1
android 4.0.3
first I worked on WiFi as well, I insert my SIM and reboot and I lost my WiFi connection the WiFi is working but can not find my net signal, also I tried different SIMs ,also removed the SIM,the problem can only solve by factory reset ,any other way to fix ??
thanks
any suggest?
sounds like your best bet would be to just factory reset with the sim card in it. Taking the sim card out and putting it back in has apparently confused your tab and the only way to fix it would be for the sim to re-validate with your carrier after seeing a fresh install. you might be able to try the setup wizard but i dont see that revalidating your sim since its already verified. Factory reset isnt end of the world, if you start rooting and flashing custom roms you'll get real used to resetting up your tab/phone in minutes from a fresh wipe.

hi everyone, i normally post in the wizard section, but ran into a new issue. I just bought a samsung blackjack 1 for my wife, and i started messing around in the engineering mode (bad idea, i know), and i reset some thing in there and it said i had to restart the phone, and when i did the phone part will not turn on, i have tried in connection settings, everything. so i thought i would just hard reset, nothing. i was going to reflash a rom but i cant change to usb modem mode if its in flight mode! is there anything you guys know of i can do? like force the modem mode, and if reflashing a rom will reset the engineering mode! or a way to reset the engineering settings? please help, i am in desperate need! thank you, Quint
just an update, i was able to get the phone to reflash, i went from wm5 to wm6, but that did nothing to the phone! I can also see it isnt reading the sim card, like the contacts or anything. if you have any ideas please help! i know the sim card works fine, and have tried two different ones.

Don't know if you fixed it yet, if not, you could try flashing the radio. You can get them at link below, you may have to register for free first. If it works you can also get the wm 6.1 rom there as well.

I went back to original stock rom because one of my co workers wanted to buy my Infuse to give to his wife. He did not want it to be rooted or have anything on it. I followed the directions in GTG's_Ultimate_Unbrick thread and it worked perfectly. Everything was completely stock like I just opened the box except for one thing...the sim card is not recognized. It says " NO SIM CARD IN PHONE AFTER YOU INSERT THE CARD, PLEASE REBOOT. EMERGENCY CALLS CAN BE USED."
I work for ATT so I know its not because the sim card is bad (I think I tried five new ones today trying to get it to work) plus I used working sim cards from working devices but it still says the same thing.
I tried running through GTG's_Ultimate_Unbrick again but to no prevail. Has any one encountered this or can any one please point me in the right direction on how to fix this issue?
Thank you in advance!!!

Did you wipe data/factory reset after unbricking?
If not, try that.
Today around 4:00pm I just had the same problem; however, the problem didn't arise when I used GTG's Ultimate Unbrick... The problem arose when I tried sending an MMS, I sent the first one, it worked, then I had to resend the same MMS to another person, it never sent it, so I tried restarting my phone, and that's when it popped up as "Sim Card Not Found" Ugh!!.. I just tried Flashing it back to stock using Odin GTG's Ultimate Unbrick. I was hoping it was just an ICS random bug, or maybe a just a ROM specific bug. So any help at all would be awesome.
Anyone have any ideas?

Make sure that the back door (SD card and sim) is ok. Many times when the back door is pulled the phone won't recognize the sim card.
it seems intact, the sd card slot works fine. and my sim card works on my other tmobile phone. also another issue, my device is always running on safemode, i have tried installing other roms and also reverted back to stock but it is constantly running on safe mode. is there a way i could revert back to complete factory origninal settings and start a new clean root process?

Try using Gene Pole's method to return to stock...

See if that is working. The other way is using the Hack Kit to revert to Stock and S-ON...then you can start from scratch...
Hi Guys,
I just bought an infuse last night off from craigslist. I checked the phone thoroughly before I bought it and everything is working fine. When I get back home, the phone signal keeps dropping on and off so I thought the sim card might be loose. So I took it out and reinsert the sim card. Boot back up and the phone won't recognized the sim anymore. Keep seeing please insert sim even though the sim card is in there and worked fine earlier. I reset it to factory default but no luck. I put the sim in different phone and it's working fine. I tried with different sim card from my friend's phone who has galaxy s 2. The phone detected the sim but no signal at all. I reboot, factory reset but no luck at all.
The phone has CM7 rom and when it was working, it was great. Is there any way I can fix it? I checked the phone on samsung warranty info and it's only 3 months old, so still under warranty. I don't know they will honor warranty though since I bought it off from craigslist. Is there anyway I can fix it? Please help me. Thanks a lot.
Reset to stock and see if that helps. Try using some other working sim and check if the problem persists.
I have already factory reset it. Tried with 2 different sims. One sim recognize but no signal. Should I flash back to stock rom and try?

I would flash back to stock via Odin or heimdall and see if the problem is resolved....
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using XDA App
I just flashed back to stock with heimdall. I will test out and report back. Thanks.
edit. Doesn't work even after flashing back to stock rom. Sending it out to Samsung for warranty repair. Thanks.
Hello all,
I just wanted to make a post and a fix that at least worked for me in case anyone else out there has had a similar issue. My issue was on my Samsung Infuse so I am not saying this will work for other phones as I have only encountered it with my Infuse.
First of all I am a flashaholic and am always Odin back to Factory just to Root and Flash another different ROM. Well I noticed maybe a month ago that once I would Odin back to Factory and after I would do a factory data reset. ( And yes I tried not doing the factory data reset as well had no effect. The reason I do that after Odin is because if not I get the Google Talk Auth error.) So after all that once I would go to the Market and start redownloading my apps I would notice that the first couple apps would install and then after that they would just hang there?? I would restart my phone and then a few more would install then once again it would hang up. This was very Very FRUSTRATING. I looked through the forums and couldnt find anything that talked about this issue with this phone. Last night I took out my 32GB sd card in my phone once I Odin and factory data reset again but this time I didnt put my sd card back in after. I have now downloaded all 133 apps that I had before with NO ISSUES!! This whole time the issue was with the SD card for some reason? I have no idea why or how but I dont care. The SD card is fine by the way I have it back in my phone now but if I ever need to install 20 or more apps I will know how I have to do it.
If anyone is having this same issue I hope you read this and this can help you as it did me.
Take Care
