While its not a dealbreaker, I was wondering if others are able to advance tracks in pandora with the volume rocker. Of 6 ROM's ive tried saying they have this feature working only 2 have actually worked for me. Is this something I am doing incorrectly?

In every rom I've tried, the volume buttons don't work when I'm holding the phone to my head. Is this supposed to be like that? Anyone know of a way to fix this?
Also, is there a way to decrease the min volume, even the lowest is still loud.
Thanks

best method to turn the volume up?? i'm missing calls left and right! thanks.
I'm running stock ROM with netnarchy cfs kernel
Voodoo control. But you gotta run the netarchy kernal to use the free app. The paid one says you dont have to run a custom kernal that support voodoo, but i dont know if that works on the nexus 4g

That doesn't turn the volume up.
It only affects headphones.

You could try volume+ (sound boost) on the market. I haven't used it myself so can't confirm if it will work on the NS.

volume + is decent enough to not miss calls frequently. it could be better though. I'm majorly disappointed with the volume issuer

I thought it did. It has option that seems like it would. Since installing it it seems like its louder Anabolic haven't messed with the volume and its other set on halfway on my device.

I think they may have kept it down on the Nexus S 4G because I read countless complaints of people blowing their speaker out on the Epic. Some even opening the phone and replacing the speaker themselves.
I notice that my notification volume keeps turning down itself, is there anyway to stop or fix this?

i'm having the same issue. anyone have an idea?
If you run like a ATT code from your phone like #data it does that. Also some apps I know are known change volume levels to fit accordingly

I don't even have sound for texts. Not even sure ringtones work. On gtgs v2 beta GB
Big dog Infuse I997 running Infused v2 Gingerbread, Gingerbread CWM kernel
Hi, I'm new to this forums and I know this is an old topic by now, but the random volume changes still happen often enough to be annoying. Does anyone know a way to stop this? Volume Locker seems to only work half of the time.
I've searched and tried several apps to link ringer and notification. I love TouchWiz, but this is the ONE thing that pushes me to a CM ROM. I don't want to have to open an app each time i want to change both options. I came from an Optimus V and a Thunderbolt after. Both were able to link Ringer/Notification volumes.
So, does anybody know if a "fix" has been round or at least a workaround?
Nobody even has a suggestion? i know somebody here has got to know something :fingers-crossed:

Im running that app on my bolt now

Apps allow linking the two but only if you change the volume from within the app. If you use the volume rocker the two stay unlinked. I'm looking for a way to permanently link the two to allow use of the volume rocker.

We'll pretend that other guy isn't here, since he's not helping you or me out.
I've brought this up before, I loved it on my X2 and hate that on this. Wonder if anyone who knows how to mod could make a mod for this.

The only thing I really hate about my HOS is the fact that the speaker volume is so low!. As I work in a noisy environment I regularly miss calls as my phone is unheard by me.
I used to have a similar problem back when I owned a HOV but fixed this by using volume+ from play store, unfortunately it doesn't work with the HOS, neither does any other volume boosting app in the market and I've tried many.
It's a killer problem for me and if I can't resolve it I'll be ditching this phone which I love for a nexus 5 early on the new year.
So if anyone has any tips or mods for increasing system volume output then please help.

I don't think you will have luck boosting the speaker volume.
Maybe think about a smartwatch that vibrates your wrist when a call is coming in.
