[Q] How to upgrade from Android 2.3 to Android 4 or 4.1

I just purchased an Accelero Novus Tablet Phone that comes with Android 2.3 and I would like to upgrade it to Android 4.0 or 4.1.
Can you guide me how to do the upgrade without spoiling the Tablet Phone?
Thanks.

You might able to upgrade it via stock updater if there is update available for your tablet.

GT-I9100G Help please ??!

Hello XDA
I'm a little new to the whole android scene and I ( stupidly ) bought a Galaxy S2 I9100G version not knowing it would have lower performance and much harder to upgrade to ICS so I have a few questions because I want to manually upgrade it to ICS 4.0.3 and Kies doesn't work at all so my question is:
What does the basebands differ from one to another and if I'm to install an official update to my "I9100GDZKH5" which firmware should I install to be suitable to it.
or should I choose it based on the kernel version whick is "2.6.15.7 [email protected] #2"
BTW I live in Egypt and the official ICS firmware still hasn't come out

Try Flashing a Custom ROM. In order to do this you will have to Root your phone and your phone will get warranty void. The decision lies upon you.

Thanks for your reply starbriganza but I'm trying to find a way to manually install official firmware and all I need to know is how to pick the appropriate firmware for my Galaxy S2

Samsung has officially released ICS 4.0.4 now. You can google it and install it via odin. Just put the downloaded .tar file in the PDA section and flash it.

N8010 (Wifi Version) Jelly Bean with Samsung apps?

Hey guys,
my question is pretty simple and in the headline. Is there any rom for N8010 with Jelly Bean and the Samsung Apps?
I only found a rom for N8010 which is AOKP and doesn't include Samsung Stock apps.
Also the Rom Leak seems to be only for N8000.
Thanks for any help
Regards,
Wii
Might be best off waiting for the official Jelly Bean update. Hopefully it's not far off, and we get all the Note 2 features. There is a leaked OTA I believe, not sure how stable it is, and it might be for the N8000. But I think that some people got it up and running on the wifi version.
I'm staying stock unrooted till the official update at least.
Patience

Hopefully the rumours are true and pretty soon all regions will get the OTA...
Samsung released Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean XXBLK9 OTA update for the WiFi Galaxy Note 10.1 N8010
Samsung has started rolling out updates recently for most of their devices. After the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 updates, now it’s the time for WiFi Galaxy Note 10.1 N8010. This OTA update brings Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to Samsung’s S-Pen tablet.
The update build name is JRO03C N8010 XXBLK9 and it’s Android 4.1.1. Unfortunately it’s not Google’s latest Android version, as 4.2 has been released some time ago, but any updates are welcome anyway. Also it’s possible to perform a manual update, without the risk of voiding the device’s warranty, because stock updates don’t require root access. We will write a guide soon and update this article once it’s ready.
Currently the update is only available in Germany, but more countries should be next very soon. If you didn’t get the update yet, you can try to search for updates on your tablet or Samsung’s Kies software.
This update weights about 300MB and it comes with the new Premium Suite, which is a really nice pack of apps and features. And Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean also brings some really nice features, like Google Now, a new notification system, Android Beam, improved FaceUnlock, camera and more.
Android 4.1 should also improve the Galaxy Note’s speed and battery life, because it’s much better optimized than Ice Cream Sandwich. All we hope is that Samsung did a good job with the update. We will find out more very soon, once we get our hands on it.

Shame it's not 4.2 but I'm not going to complain.

For the Samsung Galaxy Player 5/ Galaxy S WiFi 5 INTL
First of all thx to IURNAIT for the great work.

you should find this thread helpful

check the second post.
If you are on the stock ROM, you would have to flash a custom recovery first. After that you can directly flash CM10.1, no need for any intermediate steps

question about twrp and downgrade

Hello all !
Well is the history of my tf300t:
4.1 (stock) OTA to 4.21 (stock), (once had a crash so need to reinstall from sd card (still 4.2.1).)
i have enough with the latency of the tablet ! so i have decided to install cyanogen mod 10 (stable), but the problem is it's a 4.1 and i'm on 4.2.1.
In addition i use twrp 2.5, i was thinking to update to 2.6 but on the install note these 3 versions :
*.-ics - on the 4.0 official software.
*.-jb - if you have official 4.1 software.
*.-4.2 for the official Asus 4.2 update
If you choose the wrong file you may brick your tablet.
right now i'm on 4.2.1 so by logic i need to use the *.-4.2 file but if i want to use cwm 10 (4.1) the twrp will be compatible ? or i need to change version ?
thanks for helping ....
