Don't use 720 or just go back to stock for now if you need video.

Even 480p is a bit jittery too depending on lightning. But Id still recommend holding out with 480p if recording isn't a make or break scenario for you...maybe there will be a solution

no one has lag when recording video?
I have a samsung 1080p tv the hdmi runs good except for small bug it shutoffs indeterminably every 10 min or so. I am running latest eaglesblood can someone help me understand why this is happening? and offer a fix?
would changing the ratio size on tv be a problem of sorts?
or is this a bug due to cm7? i really do not wish to revert to stock rom and further more do not wish to lower quality to 720 if avoidable
It's a CM7 problem.

In other words, its a hardware limitation?

Yes it is
So it can't help
Anyway , Thanks Guys
Not likely HW...
A Galaxy S II can definitely record in HD. 720P for sure and most of them can do 1080P. So I don't think this is a hardware limitation. Go to Cam Corder mode in your camera/cam corder app (you should see the red dot in the middle of controls). Then select quality and you should see options there. I use 720 HD for my recordings because it works well with TV playback and wifi access (1080P causes wifi hickups because the files are too big for good wifi transfer, but you could always move them to your PC and play there).
hi guys,
don't know if you have tried lgCamerapro 6.3 yet but if you haven't, give it a try. it captures real 1080p videos at 30fps and with great quality to boot. i'm just having issues with its audio capture but apart from that, it works better than the o3d's default camera (less 3d capture of course)

attached pic is my settings... i just used 12mbits as higher bits "sometimes" gives the notorious audio/video cut haha
Can Do 3D
This app can do 3d you just need to switch the camera its after the front camera. Not sure about resolution though been couple of months since I used it. If I remember correctly you just have to to the 3d formating settings for it to view properly.
For me it doesn't work.Especially the video recorder. And on all settings.Maybe it's the Rom I use, the WaterBear

that's weird... works fine on my phone. maybe try tinkering with the settings? and btw, you should not check stereo recording and you should not go beyond 15mbs on the settings menu.
I'm on opensensation2 and I tried aokp but with both ROMs I record a video and it seems fine til I go to play it back its just a pixelated mess with audio tried gallery and MX video player

I've been having this same problem. It seems that the problem arises when you start recording right after starting the camera. I've found that if I wait a few seconds after switching to the video camera, the videos come out perfect.
Unfortunately, there's no way to know if your video will be messed up until after you're done, but at least you can improve your chances. If anyone with a little more dev knowledge can suggest something better, I'm all ears. I have an 11-month old little girl and it really sucks when the videos don't come out.
