Any news of AOKP, PA, PAC? - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

CM-10.1 is pretty stable as daily driver, but haven't seen any official AOKP, PA, or PAC. Anyone know where I can find?

you have AOKP and PA but not latest versions available

Thanks. Yes, AOKP and PA based on 4.1.2. I was hoping for leads to 4.2.1 versions, official or unofficial.

Good luck - have been following PA's updates on Google+, and there are some great new features in their 4.2 release
Would be a great addition for our tabs - and quite the accomplishment for you
Again, good luck

didn't bother to read. awesome that you got PA on the ball, then if AOKP works out then i'll bust out slim.. i just need to update the source to 4.2, i'm still rockin 4.1.2 in my working folder.
but just in case which models are you going to cover?

We can work together with PA 2.99, i already saw that it will not be easy..

[ROM] [4.1.1] OFFICIAL codefireX Jellybean Nightlies

These are official codefireX JellyBean Nightlies brought to you by Synergy(e) and TeamCodefire. These use official CM device repos and are built from source nightly. THIS MEANS IT HAS ANY BUGS THE CM10 NIGHTLIES HAVE.
codefireX is a CM10 spinoff with the goal of providing additional power-user features (contained in the codefireX settings panel) while still maintaining full upstream CM compatibility for automated CM merges daily for the nightlies. This means the nightlies are fully up to date with the CM10 nightlies, however you get additional features as well. The codefireX settings panel will become more populated with features as this project progresses, and more device nightlies will also be added.
The codefireX github is HERE. Changelogs are not available, however you may use github (always current). The maintainer for this will not respond to questions on this thread, so please help your fellow android user out or visit twitter/IRC

Linaro is a toolchain that is used to compile the android source code. It's designed specifically for the ARM architecture so is able to provide drastic performance improvements. Refer to this youtube video for more of a visual demonstration comparing linaro versus non-linaro builds https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrQRYmYip6Q (also linked in the OP). Enjoy!

Also, I just though I should mention that NFC isnt working for me with the Linaro build
A2Dp is not functioning well in this rom. It sounds like it's being sent over the phone codec used for calling over bluetooth. After you connect, make one call and this should reset it back to the normal A2Dp codec for playing music. This looks like a CM10 issue and I'm not sure what to do to actually fix it permanently.
Edit: Nevermind. This used to work but now it doesn't at all. Still totally unusable.
Hey guys I was wondering if anybody knew how to make the status bar transparent using apex

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T769 using xda app-developers app
basically, the differences between CM9 (ICS) and CM10 (JB) is this:
CM9 has an official kernel whereas CM10 has a hacked-in version. it works, but if we could ever get an official JB kernel, we would have CM10.1
CM10 added the JB goodies that CM9 lacked with ICS, such as Google Now, multi-users (for tablets), expanded notifications, android beam, etc etc.
back in the day (before the Blaze got ICS official), we were dead in the water for ROMs. thomas.raines, dr4stic and erikmm were pretty much the only active devs that were making an attempt once k0nane and shabby were chased out. once it dropped, erikmm was incorporating the official kernel into his CM9 unofficial and dr4stic was hacking the ICS kernel to fit his CM10 unofficial. it was a race to see who would get official first and for a few days, it got REALLY exciting but with CyanogenMod, once a device is ready for CM10, they drop support for CM9, so erikmm's just kinda fizzled off the radar after a couple months. not to take away from erikmm's skillz, he's a helluva dev and I love everything he's ever done with the blaze

Yeah Buddy!!! Enjoy. The smart bar animations with equalizer seem to be buggy so if you play with the nav buttons you may want toclick that off. Its a little choppy overall yet, but running Franco on performance profile is pretty buttery.
