[Q] Phone will not boot and factory reset is not working - HTC Sensation

I tried to do the OTA update to ICS for my T-Mobile Sensation 4G and all seemed to be going well till the phone restarted. The phone now gets stuck with the message "Process system is not responding. Would you like to close it?" I have the option to Wait or OK but the phone will not allow me to select an option.
I tried a hard factory reset but I still get the same message when the phone tries to boot.
Can anyone help me get my phone working again?

did you tried reset from bootloader ?
can you got to recovery (once you enter recovery ..pres vol down + vol up + power together ..you will get some options there ..select factory reset) do factory reset then reboot and see ...otherwise RUU is the best way

I ended up having to do an RUU to get the phone to work again but for some reason I can't get it rooted again.
I managed to get the phone to be S-OFF and the bootloader is unlocked but can't figure out how to root it at this point.
Can someone walk me though how to root my phone?

Can only get into Hboot

hi everyone,
I could really need a quick solution.
I just received my phone from a screen repair and was going to root it.
I unlocked it first with htcdev and now it says juopunutBear and it's S OFF.
but when I'm booting it, it just stayson the HTC screen and when I select recovery or factory reset it goes into the reset screen for a little while and after that it returns to the boot screen.
If you can get to the hboot scrren it should be fixable.
You might be able to flash a new copy of a recovery from fastboot on your computer. That should let you reinstalled a saved rom.
You may also be able to flasha rom through a pm58img file in the bootloader.
If all else fails you should be able to run an ruu to reset it entirely and start over.

Thanks! I'm running the RUU right now, everything will probably go as planned!

[Q] HTC One M8 Verizon Stuck on Hboot HELP!!

Ok here is what i did. I had s-off and i wanted to go back to stock so i used the RUU zip and then unrooted i then re locked my bootloader and went s on again. From there everything looked good until i rebooted to recovery and did a factory reset. Now all the device does is boot up to the H boot screen and says TAMPERED, LOCKED and SECURITY WARNING. Im guessing the OS is gone now and that is why it doesnt boot past the h boot screen. I cant flash anything because i have factory everything on here and im s on just not sure what i can do to get out of this state. Please help. Ive looked through google and all the forums but cant find an answer so this is why im asking.

[Q] Factory Reset using TWRP now it asks for encypted password upon boot

I just got my new S5, so it was time to nuke my S3 to get it ready for sale. My S3 is running 4.1.2 rooted with an unlocked bootloader and TWRP 2.5.0.0. To ensure a better wipe I encrypted the device and then did a factory reset. Now upon booting back up, I get a screen that reads: Enter password to access encrypted device storage. So I entered my password and it won't accept it. I cancel out of it, nothing works - I'm stuck.
I'm trying to reset the phone back to 4.1.2 and have no idea what I need to do next. Any help appreciated.
If no one knows how to fix this is there a way using TWRP or something other method to flash my S3 back to stock 4.1.2?
I looked at your thread earlier and I was wondering how to do it myself. Since your on an unlocked bootloader you can flash it back to another version, however I'm not sure if because having encryption enable it will let you
From my CM11 S3
SOLVED!
This Wonderful Guide from droidstyle helped me out.
1. I already had the USB drivers installed so I skipped to Section 5: How to Odin back to Stock from any rom/recover from a soft brick/flash a stock radio.
2. Downloaded the appropriate stock firmware, in my case it was VRALG1 4.0 ICS since I was on 4.1.2 and was not unfortunate enough to use any OTAs (4.3 and up) which permanently locked the bootloader.
3. Power on phone to Download mode (Hold Power on, Volume down and Home key at the same time). Make sure Binary Flash Counter is set to NO. Press Volume Up to select download mode.
4. Connect phone to computer and follow the steps on using ODIN to flash the stock image.
Phone reboots, wait and then viola - it booted just fine and asked me to set up the phone. Just to play it safe I rebooted to stock recovery, wiped cache and did a hard reset.
Now I will unlock and root the phone and then it's ready for sale. :good:
BTW I tried to find a stock 4.1.2 rooted and unlocked image but couldn't. If I find it I will flash it.

Unlock OEM

my phone is bricked! flashed a stock rom from sammobile. odin was able top flash it. but i'm having bootloop. i'm triying to flash a custom rom, but i can not since the oem is locked. i forgot to unlock it from inside. anyway... is there any way to unlock oem with odin or fastboot??
If you are having boot loop after flashing stock, try going into stock recovery and wipe data to factory reset

did it.. still the same problem! :'(
Hold volume down and then the power button at the same time to turn the phone of, it takes about 5 seconds. After that go back to download mode by pressing volume down, home, power...once you're in download mode follow these steps

I bricked my phone a couple of days ago and this is how I fixed it, you will loose root but at least your phone will work again, then you can re-root

Factory reset, now stuck at TWRP, can't access fastboot and rescue

Ive been running KangVIP with no problems, however I got some adware which refused to go away, so I attempted to factory reset via the phones menu. It then ended up stuck at the TWRP screen. This has happened before so next I tried to restore a previous backup...not successful. I can't access fastboot and rescue to flash the official recovery.
Anyone got any help? Is there a guide to flashing the stock rom or have I borked my phone?
You can not shut down the device and connect it via USB to a PC and boot while holding volume down button into fastboot mode?
Well then you have ruined your phone.
I'm OP, was unable to get into my usual account last night. I'm not sure how, but holding volume up, down and power seemed to kick start it back to life and I'm back running KangVIP. I don't think I'll be resetting it again for a very long time.

I'm not sure whether it was luck or not, but all I did was to go into TWRP and then chose the Mount option, unmounted everything, then went to Reboot and chose Bootloader - that got me back to fastboot where I was able to flash the stock recovery, do a factory reset and get my phone back.

and android os not have R/W /system only can r/W on tpwr i try use file explorer remove king root but no boot
